Cutting to the chase.

I just found out that the girl I'm dating and my ex's younger sister know each other. Not really close friends but still close enough. The same ex I've mentioned before who cheated on me and then met some time ago telling me she was pregnant.

What made it more awkward was the fact that I learned about this on a chance encounter. The girl I'm dating introduced me to her friends last night (yeah dinner on a Monday night so go figure), and viola, ex's younger sister was there. Of course, we couldn't hide the fact that we already knew each other beforehand, but kept the associations to a minimum. 

Now thank God younger sister isn't blaming me or pinning anything on me regarding what's going on with her older sister. But it did make for an awkward atmosphere for a bit.

Girl I'm dating even asked later on as I was driving her home as to why I looked a bit awkward and how did I know her friend/ex's younger sister. I didn't tell her the whole story of course, just sticking to the story that we got common friends. Maybe because I was so bewildered about it that I wasn't thinking straight. Thank God she dropped the subject. 

Anyhoo, so far that's the story. I just find it so amusing, annoying, scary, funny, and everything else in between that something like this would happen. The randomness of it is such material for a drama.
