Sometimes I wonder why Hyorin's not my bias. She's almost like Jonghyun. Talented as hell, can belt out a high note like it's a piece of cake, and have a load of other talents that exceeds their given group title. However neither one of them made it to the top of my list. 

But I think I should explain why I love Hyorin and pay tribute to her.

Not your average visual

Usually I don't like the popular members. And that could be a reason she was never my bias. (That title is claimed by Bora)  But what's different about her popularity is that she's famous for being pretty AND talented. Name any visual from a girl group; Odds are they aren't the best singer or dancer. Hyorin's voice made her a star. She stands for what a visual should represent. Pretty, talented, and personable.

More popular than the actual face of the group

A rareity happened in Sistar. The main vocalist is significantly more popular thn the face of the group. Dasom is obviously the face. She's the center of just about every MV plot and she's been in a few other starship MVs. She's supposedly the prettiest one, however everyone seems to love Hyorin. Now I don't know the stats but it seems pretty apparent.

Defies Korean Beauty Standards

Hyorin is darker than most Korean idols. Mostly everyone in the industry is pale white. I like the fact that she favors the tanned look and it attracts my attention as an African American. And she really stands out among the other members. Starship doesn't even seem interested in telling her not to tan either. And she's noticable the least atractive member. Let's not ignore it. She is often called ugly. I think she's gorgeous and she is making more bread than those haters so screw them.

She has a tattoo

For one, I have a thing for tattoos. And the fact that she's Korean, female, and is in a girl group that shows a lot of skin, I am impressed. She's badass.

She can rap

She slayed on Unpretty Rapstars. Enough said.

Her personality is gold

There aren't many female idols that stray away from the innocent, meek, and clumsy personality. But she is one of them. She bluntly hilarious too without even trying. And her voice is slightly raspy and deep which is different.

She's a #Capricorn

She's Team Cap just like me. And her birthday is the day after mine January 11th. How cool is that~ 

Her voice is one of the best in Kpop

Last but not least, her voice is my I love her. But you knew that was coming anyway. She can out sing most Kpop "vocals" and she can sing with Ailee and Kwill effortlessly. I love singers who don't even have to try to sound amazing.
