Hiring Beta readers

So as mentioned in February, I was deiding whether or not to work on a new short story. With your votes, I've decided to green light it and release it this month. Not only that but I'm hoping to enter it into a contest but before I release my new story to the world, I need Beta readers.

So once again, allow me to explain the new story:

Description:

Jung Taekwoon, a twenty-five year old journalist watches as the whimsical forest of his childhood burns through his window. He’s lost everyone, his friends, his family his first love in and now he is nearing imprisonment from the authorities heading his way. He knew who was to blame, he could have spared everyone if only he had made better choices in the past. But just how well does his theory hold up when the demon who caused his misfortune challenges Taekwoon to relive the last fifteen years of his life? Can Taekwoon solve the mysteries of the otherworldly forest? Can he save the lives of the people who mean most to him? And most importantly, can he finally take back the life he knows he can have without fear?

Forward:

What started fifteen years ago, put Taekwoon in this situation. The police were on the way. The forest outside his home burned around him. His friends, his family, everyone was gone. Only one person stood beside him, the demon only he knew existed, Ravi.

“This is where it ends, Leo.  You have two choices. Stay here and go to jail or come with me, and end it all.”

“You’re sick,” The blonde boy spat at the demons feet. “You killed everyone, what makes you think I’d join you?! What makes you think I’d want to be by your side after all this?!”

“You can’t change fate. You were fated to be mine, as the world burns around me. Every decision you could of made led to this moment.”

“Get bent, Ravi!” Taekwoon yelled. “I could never be with you! You took the last friend I had.” A tear fell from the forlorn boy’s eye. “You took Wonshik.”

“Wonshik willingly gave himself to me. It was his fate, just like you are fated to join me.” Ravi walked to the bedroom window and ushered to the forest below. He smirked as the tremendous flames, lapped at the oak and cedar trees surrounding the baneful cottage Taekwoon once called home.

Taekwoon turned from the sociopath. “I rather burn alive than join you.”

Ravi growled. “For s sake, Taekwoon, just give in already. There’s nothing you could’ve done or said to stop this from happening.”

“Yes I could’ve!” Taekwoon shouted. “I could have saved them all! Sanghyuk, Hongbin, Jaehwan, Hakyeon and especially Wonshik... I could’ve saved them all. I could’ve created a different outcome.”

“Are you really willing to wager on that,” Ravi asked at Taekwoon turned his way.

    “What do you mean?”

“Do you really believe if you got another chance, you could stop this from happening?”

“I know I could!” Taekwoon shouted.

“Fate set this outcome in stone,” Ravi paced. “We were meant to come to this moment. But if you’re deadset on the erroneous illusion that you can change the future, then I’m always up for a gamble.”

    “What?”

Ravi reached onto the ground, grabbing an extrinsic newspaper lying about the bloodstained carpet beside Taekwoon’s bed.

“This paper is the written log of what happened yesterday. Every bloodstained detail of your parents is death catalogued in this article. I’ll send you back before any of this began. If you can stop what happens in this paper, I’ll leave you, and your precious Wonshik alone, if you fail...”

The demon boy reached out his hand, a blue flame danced around his palm. “You’re mine.”  A pregnant maleficence danced within the air sounding the demon’s palm. A glint of soulless mischief danced within his chrome black eyes. “Do we have a deal?”

Interactive:

The story, Revive will be conductive in a similar fashion to 'Gravity Falls.'  At the end of each chapter, there will be two ciphers.

The first one will be a single chapter cipher that will give the reader a hint to the next chapter. Within the chapter, there will be a hint on how to solve the chapter cipher. I'll also release a guide to the ciphers alongside the story so it'll be easier to solve.

The second cipher will not be a simple. There won't be a blantent hint within the chapters but there may be a subtle hint within. The second cipher in each chapter lines up together.

I plan to provide two prizes at the end of the story. One for the person who solves the most single chapter ciphers. The second to the person who first solves the final cipher in it's entirety and tells me what it means.

I hope these will be fun for the readers (like Gravity Falls was for me)

So this story will be done in 13 chapters. Everything is planned out.

I'm hoping to release the chapters on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. But first I need beta readers.

Beta testers are required to provide me with spelling and grammar correction as wells as provide their opinions on each chapter.

Job requirements for beta reading:

1) English as your first language

2) A google docs account.

I'm also looking for cipher testers. These people will be employed to solve the ciphers beforehand and let me know if they seem too difficult.

Beta readers and cipher testers are automatically excluded from the final prizes for cipher solving. But will be given 500 karma each at the completion of the story as compensation.

If you're interested, please comment below and I'll PM you for an interview. Thanks in advanced.
