Korean News: Women's Rights

Hi guys,

Recently in Korea, a man in his thirties killed a young woman whose age was 23. The reason? Simply because she was a woman.

Korean women were enraged at this fact and are protesting. But what are Korean men saying? "It's the status quo." "We can't change it." "Well, women are pretty inferior to men."

We live in a society where women are often considered to be "inferior" to men, or at least, weaker than men. It is men who are to "protect" us from the evils of our society. Why is this?

A society is made up by the people. And if the people don't change their mindsets, our society will never change for the better. Let's make a society where not a man has to protect a woman but a woman doesn't need protection because our society is safe.

Together we can truly make a difference so that no one in this world is subjected to such horrific deeds because of their , race, religion, and much more.

I am a sixteen-year-old Korean girl. Not a boy, but a girl. Are you going to kill me too?

This is so wrong. I felt sorry for the victim .How can a men killed a women simply just because she's a women... It dosent makes sense. Being a women is not a sin. We should educate the society not to discriminate on gender. Everyone should be treated equally. Men , women, kids, animals , plants..
