Collecting all the Oppa's in Hong Kong!

Collecting all the Oppa’s in Hongkong!

Are you planning on a visit to Hong Kong or find yourself with a looooong layover and in desperate need of your Oppa’s healing presence? - I know where you can go!

If your like me (absolute multiband/drama K-trash) head to 584-586 Nathan road to the Sino center - on the first floor you will be met by several shops selling Kpop, J-pop and Canto-pop merch = heaven!

I went there last Sunday to sort out my ‘Chinese visa and had a difficult time not spazzing on the floor - no really, i might have pulled a muscle or lost some brain cells ....anywhoo. The first shop you are met with sells mostly albums, calenders, posters and magazines (but some of the posters on display are just that, I saw an awesome married to the music Shinee poster and Vixx’s chained up poster but they didnt have) I also bought BTS’s new album ‘young forever’ for 150 HK dollars (with JIn photo card displaying his new blonde locks - squee!)

The shop next door sells albums and not posters - but ask anyway as they do display some around.

If you explore more of this floor you’l come across two shops opposite each other owned by the same guy (he is very nice) with literally all sorts of kpop shiz (cue giant anime eyes and drool) I bought rubber braclets of all my fav bands (aside from Royal Pirates, I guess their not as popular), which will cost you 15 HK dollars each, GD’s Seoul Olympics 1988 hat 75HK dollars and BTS hat of the same pric, 2 badges with Rapmon on (because he’s my ultimate bias)and a bunch of posters at around 20 HK dollars each.

Only problem is unless your bias is the most popular, its less likley you’ll find exactly what your looking for i.e my Got7 bias is Youngjae and BTS bias Rapmon and they didn't have much other than posters and badges for either, also I helped another girl look for Seungri from Bigbang merch and only found a few items.

Head to higher floors for all things Kawaii and Japanese - I read one review on trip advisor which said its like a mini Akihabura in Tokyo and I can confirm, it is indeed that - a very mini version though Aki is huuuuge and a lot more awesome!

You can build it into a day of shopping and exploring easily as its very close to the famous ladies market, flower market and others and public transport options are on he same stretch (there is also a nice Korean resturant just a small wander along the road on the opposite side)

Have fun fellow travel/kpop junkie!! XxX
