Let's start this off by saying that Wolfsbane, the flower used in the MV, can be poisonous or healing, depending on how it's used.  Healing both physical, but also mental illness.  With severe poisoning, death arrives in between 2 to 6 hours.  

 

Monsta X lives in a controlling government and they are rebelling against authority.  You can see Hyungwon put the Wolfsbane into the police officers pocket; this can either mean that Hyungwon wants to heal them and wants to cure their minds or that he wishes death upon them for their cruelty.  Hyungwon's father disaproves of his behavior and beats him for disobeying their government. The boys are best friends and they can't live without each other which explains why Minhyuk is so concerned with Hyungwon.  Focusing on one story line at a time, Hyungwon is seriously injured and Minhyuk is trying to cure him with the Wolfsbane or he's giving him the Wolfsbane as poison in order to end Hyungwon's suffering.  There is also the possibility that Hyungwon was trying to kill himself which would support more of the "putting him out of his misery" idea rather than trying to save him, because the boys are so close, Minhyuk wouldn't have wanted him to continue suffering while he was living and would let Hyungwon go in peace.  

 

Here's where I got a little confused, but this is what I think it is.  Shownu's dad is severely ill and is about to die; Shownu can't afford treatment so him and Kihyun rob a store.  They rob the store and set fire to it, not only to cover their tracks, but to further rebel against the government.  Shownu gets back to his father but he had already died.  Shownu is upset, sets down the Wolfsbane to wish death to the government or to wish for the curing of their corupt government, and sets the money on fire as another sign of rebellion and because he's upset about his father.  Kihyun got injured in the fire, which explains his limping and has crutches. 

 

I believe there are multiple time jumps in this MV so keep that in mind.  I think the whole tribal rave thing they had going on was in the middle of all this, before Hyungwon's death/not death, before Shownu's dads death, and it was more like a healing thing for themselves.  Notice they were all by themselves, so it was like a family healing time, away from their government and authority, also a rebellion because their government wouldn't want them to be healed; which is why the Wolfsbane is such a big deal.  Also the small scene where Shownu looks into the bag that Jooheon is holding was Jooheon showing all the Wolfsbane he had gotten. 

 

Now I personally believe that Hyungwon lived and Minhyuk cured him, because at the end you can see them all running away from their government and such.  Also it looked like the government got Hyungwon's father, but I'm not sure.  Anyways, they ran away and at the end you can see them in front of a massive flowing Wolfsbane which can either symbolize that they've been healed and are safe, or that danger is still ahead considering this is only part 1 of the series.
