PERSONALITY ☆ 

O1. clumsy: yixuan is extremely clumsy. because of this, she was seemed as the worst dancer when they started to train her because she would fall down during the dance routines. in addition, she can't be trusted around the kitchen because she often breaks the plates and they can't have that. she's more likely to trip on herself than be able to succesfully make a meal.

O2. stubborn: her father says that she is as stubborn as a mule, as she refuses to do anything unless she herself believe that it is okay. she will most likely not apologize unless she knows it is her fault or back down in a fight even if she realizes that she is wrong. she hates being proved wrong.

O3. studious: although childish and energetic, yixuan is extremely studious. she believes in putting schoolwork in her first priority. aside from being a singer, she wanted to be a veterinarian for her love of animals. she was ranked #1 in her class and she took great pride in that. she loves to read books and believes that you can learn something new each and every day.

O4. challenging: yixuan loves a new challenge whether it's in video games or simple karaoke. she thinks that something that comes without a challenge is boring tedious. there has to be challenge in order for her to get excited and motivated. also, she continues to aim to always be #1 in china. 

O5. confident: when she was growing up, she had no confidence and have low self-esteem. her parents sought for this and brought her confidence levels by always complimenting her and motivating her. yeah, it's fine you're not #1, but you're best. she thought if she pretended she was confident, she would start to believe it. and that's exactly what she did.

BACKGROUND ☆ 

yixuan was born in beijing, china as an only child. growing up, she was a happy child who was extremely social towards others. although she was best known for picking up others when they were down, there was a time where shouldn't pick herself up. she hit a point where she had no confidence and her self-esteem was all the way to the ground - she could barely hold her head up. 

"everyone was perfect. everyone was better. everyone would grow up to successful."

she could never get first place in anything. and because of this, her confidence in herself seemed to always go down lower. her parents took note of this and decided to speak up, "yixuan, you're never going to be perfect, and we love you like that. but i'll tell you a secret. you are #1 in our hearts. you are #1 to our eyes, and that is enough. you don't need to push yourself anymore, you don't have to cry anymore. you're perfect to us, and that is all that matters."

afterwards, with the help from her parents, she was able to get #1 in almost everything, thus becoming #1 in china in terms of beauty, intelligence, and talent. from there on became the road to her derams. when she first started singing at the age of ten, people had often told her that her voice sounded like an angel - almost perfet, they said. everyone said that she had an harmonious voice and thus, that became her hobby.

yixuan is extremely thankful to her parents, who taught her to be loving towards others. she has a good relationship with the both of them and wants to take care of them in the future just the same as they had taken care of her.

— father, zhang huiliang ☆ 48 ☆ buisnessman ☆ jokes a little too much with his daughter and his wife. he believes that one shouldn't have to worry too much. will always crack dad jokes and believes he is funny. he really isn't. he is, however, very loving and willing to spoil yixuan much to her mother's dismay. ☆ holds a very good relationship with his only daughter, and treats her like a princess. 
— mother, cheng meixin ☆ 46 ☆ secretary ☆ very strict with yixuan when she was growing up. however, is very versitile and can do practically anything. yixuan used to call her 'supermom' because she was exactly like superman. strong, intelligent, and very beautiful. ☆ always hold a good relationship but treats her like a prince.

— best friend, xu minghao ☆ 18 ☆ idol / svt ☆ he is extremely childish and loves to eat a lot. he thinks his korean is better than yixuan's but it's about the same. they met when they were in school together and again when they were scouted together. he maintains a very good relationship with yixuan and tends to make fun of her every now and then. 
— best friend, chou tzuyu ☆ 17 ☆ idol / twice ☆ tzuyu acts like a mother towards yixuan, and tends to take her away from minghao. they met during dance practice and were able to understand each other being foreigners. they maintain a very close relationship but she tends to pick a fight with minghao on who loves yixuan more. 
— close friend, krystal jung ☆ 21 ☆ idol / f(x) ☆ krystal was someone yixuan really looked up to because she was extremely talented and amazing. krystal took yixuan in as though she was her daughter and met her when yixuan was merely a trainee. they maintain a good relationship and text each other now and then.

— band mates, gem girls ☆ n/a ☆ idols ☆ the sweat, the tears, the hardships, and finally the debut. because they're around each other everyday, they are no longer just a group anymore, but a family. yixuan treats her group mates just like her parents - loving and caring. she wants to take care of them and wants to be the mother (although she is not the oldest). she will often make them read more or teach them new things everyday because she believes that everyone should keep expanding their knowledge. sometimes she can be too much, but her energy is what she believes ties her relationship with her band mates closely together.

Prdebut Experiences ☆  as a trainee, she excelled well in singing but when it came to dancing . . . it was a whole other story. yes, she could sing well but when it came to dancing she could barely stand on her own two feet. in the beginning, it was terrible as she would miss the dance moves and would fall more than five times a day. she often cried because of her lack of dancing skills. it wasn't until minghao showed up to help her dance that allowed her to prosper into a much better dancer than she was previously. in addition, learning korean was always a struggle for her. the culture and the language were all so different but her motivation came through and she refused to give up, fixing her pronunciation and everything else. in total, she trained for almost six years.

PERSONALITY ☆  minghao is dubbed as an idiot and a jokester. he likes to think that he is the cutest, when he really isn't. however, he is a kind and trsuting personality and would be willing to help anyone when needed. he also likes to keep things to himself, no matter how much he is hurting. therefore, it is hard to know what he is going through, which frustrates yixuan a lot. he is also a big crybaby.

RELATIONSHIP ☆  best friends.

HISTORY ☆  yixuan had met minghao through primary school. when they were both scouted together, they began to spend more and more times together which prosphered into a friendship. there, they also met tzuyu and together, they formed a trio. minghao had been the one who taught yixuan how to dance and they both learned korean together. 

OTHER ☆ he likes to make fun of yixuan and will probably fight tzuyu on who loves yixuan more, which annoys the hell out of yixuan.
