Disabling comments

I've been thinking about this for waaay too long, but after some months passed, I'll stick with my decision.

I'm disabling comments on all of my on-going stories (those I am the main author of) until completion.

That means that I won't allow comments till I'm done with the story and this will affect my current and future on-goings. I reached a point where I don't even bother checking the new comments alert and just go straight to WGF because I know it's from there. I happen to be right 99% of the time. Now before you say, "but Lara, you've barely updated for a year or so" - yes, I'm aware. But when I finally had, nobody cared. I publish things because I want to share them, not because I like writing. I do like writing and I could very well keep everything for myself and my friends (I think my bff alone has over 50 oneshots that will never get published), but occasionally, I decide to put things up for other people to read and nobody gives a damn. And when they do comment and I reply, they never reply back.

Ever. Like, seriously?

I'm tired, really.

I love all my readers, especially the silent ones that always pop up as subscribers, I really do, but this has been upsetting me for too long and instead of complaining about it again, I'll just get rid of the comments till I'm done with a story and get over it.

this makes me so sad. i feel like some people dont realize that us writers talking to our readers makes our day especially if we can tell they appreciate our story-telling! this comes across a bit distranged for me because i live off comments (of course besides the ones that are like "update soon!") but i am so much more motivated when people comment on my stories so i dont think i will ever disable comments but i know this is due to your popularity at the poster shop. people shouldnt be stupid enough to leave comments on your own personal stories...ugh that bothers me. regardless, i hope you find more supporting readers in the future!
