Question For You: Subscribing

My stories don't require subscribers. And the reason I do that is because I don't want you to feel obligated to subscribe to my story if you end up not liking the plot/character(s)/my writing style/etc. I understand if you subscribe to an incomplete story, because you're curious as to how the story ends.

HOWEVER, my query is, for (my) completed stories, why do you/people subscribe? I've recently had a few people subscribe to "Meeting 2PM," and while I find that incredibly flattering, I don't get why they would subscribe to a completed story when they could just bookmark it for future reference or something.

Also, is there some kind of etiquette surrounding subscribers? Do I get to know them? Am I supposed to update them with my new stories via the news feed and/or new chapter in completed story?

How do I even?? O_O

I subscribe to a completed story if I like it or if it's multichaptered (because chances are I won't read it all in one sitting even if it's finished so to be able to find it again) ^^

I guess you do with your subscribers what you want. If you want to get to know them, you do that ^^ if not, then don't? uwu

I subscribe for two reasons. 1) the story is on-going so I get notified when it updates. 2) Just to keep the story forever if I love it ^-^
