Tell me about Yourself (Training): Nara started training in dancing when she was in her fifth year in elementary when she joined the dance club in school which continued when she went on to high school. She originally dreamed to be a professional dancer but her accident during her trainee period stopped that dream. Her mother is not supportive of her going to Korea to become a trainee at all but her father is fully supportive of her. And after her trip back to the States, she started liking the bass and she started learning it.

Tell me about yourself (Personality):
Nara for the most part, is a really gentle and shy person, people had described her actions as graceful. She is innocent and doesn't curse much, unless she is really mad.  She doesn't really expect much reactions from others when it comes to herself, since she expects people to ignore her due to her shyness. Her shyness and gentleness is a charm point for her as a sub-rapper, as rappers are usually charismatic and Nara portrays a different kind of image of a rapper, and she likes being able to be who she is in the band and not someone who she isn't.

Nara uses formal language and tones to everyone she meets as a form of respect, even if they are younger than her. Her parents, mainly her mother, is very traditional and Nara respects the fact and views everyone as equal, and she uses formal language to everyone as a result. This ends up being a problem for Nara as others view her as gullible and easily taken advantage of her kindness. Fortunately, her fellow trainees, especially her same aged friends have since been dropped from using excessive formal language and into using more casual language since they are all friends, but she maintains the same amount of respect for her same-aged sunabes.

Despite being the oldest in the family, she has plenty of aegyo since she is the only daughter in the family. Nara does aegyo unconsciously when she is in deep thoughts as pointed out by her fellow trainees. This is in contrast to her usual mature and strong focus, which others think that is one of Nara's charm points. Nara avoids doing aegyo as much as she can but it always comes out unconsciously, especially when she smiles and laughs, and her fellow members, trainees and friends always take secret snaps of her as a memory much to her dismay.

Becuase she is shy and uses formal language and tones to people, she is unable to stand up for herself and expressing her thoughts and feelings when others scold or insult her. She takes the insults silently and often overthinks in such situation which leads to her doubting herself and being pessimistic. This often leads to misunderstandings with others, especially with others who are older than her, and she doesn't know how to defend herself, leading to Nara seld-degrading herself and others have to comfort her with assuring words that she is talented and she shouldn't listen to what others think about her.

Because she is not on good terms with her mother, she cannot stand criticism from her parents, particularly from her mother. She also doubts herself because of this and is often unable to tell her mother how she really feels and thinks. But despite this, she often wonders how her mother is doing especially when she sees and hears others talking about their mothers in loving ways. In times like these, Nara hides somewhere to cry privately. Not only because she wants to get along better with her mother but also because she is unable to lower her pride and talk to her mother properly. When Nara gets found out, she feels a little relieved when she is asked to share about her troubles, she is able to confess her thoughts and feelings about her mother, but she is still unable to say it to her directly.

Her mother, Jo Eunha, did not support her decision about going to Korea after being casted by JYP Entertainment for an audition. She is not on good terms with her mother and her father, Jung Min Joon, is often stuck in between them. This leads to some friction whenever she is asked to send a message to her mother, instead she talks about her family as a whole.

She suffered an injury in her knee and had to rest for five months, and JYP decided to put her in a band after a doctor’s advice that Nara should not do any intensive dancing for a period of time. She became interested in the bass after a trip back to America. She happened to come across an indie band playing in a cafe during her break, in America. And the bassist also happened to be an asian-american, a Chinese American, and they became acquainted. The bassist, whose name is Clair, offered to teach Nara to play the bass and gave her a few tips. She learned to play the bass with DAY6’s YoungK and Wonder Girls’ Sunmi when she returned to Korea.

She is friends with Seventeen’s Joshua and Vernon since they are all Americans, and she gets to know Mingyu and DK through them.

Personality (Jungkook): Both Nara and Jungkook are shy people, and they don't talk much to each other. Jungkook is generally shy around girls, and he has never texted Nara personally before her debut except when a certain incident happened and he gave her some advice.

Background (Jungkook): Nara first meets Jungkook when BTS comes to JYP for a practice session for their MAMA performance. But since they are 97 liners, they often get together for hang outs with JYP's 97 line. And through their hangouts with the 97 liners, they do get closer. Jungkook doesn’t contact her often unless it is in the group chat that they have with the other 97 liners from JYP.

Relationship (Jungkook): Nara first meets Jungkook when BTS comes to JYP for a practice session for their MAMA performance when she is supposed to deliver something to JB. GOT7 and Rap Monster introduces her to Jungkook since they are the same age. Jungkook and Nara are very shy around each other but they manage to exchange numbers. Youngjae initially asks Nara to stay behind to help them film their practice and Nara agrees, until she hyperventilates and passes out during the recording process when memories of her accident start playing in her mind midway during the recording. GOT7, minus Youngjae, remember Nara’s injury as they help her to rest. Jackson talks a little bit about Nara’s accident and injury, and the others are shocked and they feel bad for her. And when she wakes up, Youngjae apologises to her, Yugyeom and BamBam then talk to her to while pulling Jungkook into the conversation. Jungkook sends Nara a private text the next day and tells her not to worry and continue pursuing her dream, giving Nara a little hope and courage to continue working hard. They have a group chat with all the other 97 liners from JYP and they occasionally talk there. But when Nara’s debut teaser is released, Jungkook congratulates her on her debut. The 97 liners get together two weeks after Nara’s debut, to celebrate her debut. And Jungkook is now able to talk to Nara properly but he is still shy when it comes to girls.

She doesn’t text the members of Seventeen often as she is busy practicing but they do text occasionally especially when they need help with homework. Seventeen congratulates her on her debut when her teaser is released, and they meet on a music show after Nara’s debut. Nara and DK begin to talk more and he asks her to call him oppa despite the fact that they are the same age. Nara later gets asked about her audition video where she is dancing, and she reveals that she suffered an injury and hasn’t danced intensively ever since especially after picking up and learning to play her bass. DK hears of this and sends her some encouragement and they become better friends.

Background (DK): They first meet when Nara and her bandmates go and support TWICE at their debut at Music Bank, and Seventeen happens to be there. Since she is already acquainted with Joshua and Vernon, she decides to pay them a visit and she gets introduced to Seventeen who are quite surprised at how tall she is. Nara finds out that Mingyu, DK and Seungkwan are her age and they become friends.

Comments: It’s a refreshing name. Personally “THE VINYL” means something from the past that can be given a new use, so taking a classic and using like its brand new. In the case of music, it’s a blend of pop and retro music. It's a classic that has been given a little revamp but yet still has it own originality and style. Music inspirations are Taylor Swift, Westlife, Shania Twain, Rihanna, Lyn. For the scene request, a scene with JYP surprising the group separately about their debut announcement. No suggestions as of now. As for the ideal type, it would be a moody, sarcastic and sassy kind of guy. Nara can be a little moody and sarcastic at times since she is a cancerian so she would like someone of a similar personality who would understand her.
