When I first got into this fandom, everything was perfect and fine. As I got more into it however, I realized that it wasn't perfect and it definatly wasn't fine. I came in at Overdose and then went back to find all of their songs. I didn't have any idea what was happening but I remember Kris leaving and the horrible backlash that he left and I really got into loving the members as Luhan was going to leave. He's the first I watched go and to be honest, I cried. Luhan and Tao leaving and then Baekhyun's dating scandal are the most memorable moments in my mind. When Baekhyun was dating Taeyeon, I was honestly scared for him. I don't really like Taeyeon all that much, there's just something about her that I don't like. I love her voice and I listen to her songs but I just don't like her as a person for some reason. But I didn't care that they were dating as long as they were happy together. During that time, I realized this fandom and exo-l as a whole could get really nasty and mean.

That being said, when I heard Kai and Krystal were dating, I was scared and pissed off. Scared because of what was going to happen to Kai and Krystal and pissed off because of what some exo-ls were going to do and say to them, like calling them "traitor" and sending them death threats. I could care less if they're dating. Kai and Krystal and all other idols could date whomever they want because it's THEIR life, not ours. THEY own it, not us. If they want to date, LET THEM. WE DON'T OWN THEM! WE ARE JUST THEIR FANS, NOT THE OWNER OF THEIR SOULS!

I'm happy that they're dating because they're happy. And I have only seen a few negative things against Krystal and Kai so far and I hope it stays that way. This fandom surprised me today by how supportive they are. Maybe everyone finally grew up after the BaekYeon incident and decided to act more mature this time around. I have never considered myself an exo-l because of this fandoms reputation but exo-ls have made me proud to stan these boys. So thank you to whoever supports Kai and Krystal dating. And to whoever doesn't, I hope you can see it from their persectives instead of just your own. If they're happy being together, let them be together. All of the idols are just like us. Human Beings.
