My moms phone got hacked by someone in Vietnam
I've been on the phone with Verizon for the past 3 hours now trying to figure out what is going on with my moms phone.
So earlier this morning around 9ish, my mom woke me up and told me that I had a mechanic appointment at my brothers dads shop to see what was wrong with my car.
I said, "Got it" and started to phase in and out of sleep mode and then I kept hearing the doors open and close and then I thought my mom had to be at work so I thought she left the house then, so I decided to call her.
Her phone went to this weird automated machine that was like "State your name and Google will try and redirect your call" and that NEVER happened before. I called 3 more times and the same thing happened and I was weireded out, but thankfully she was home and so she came back in to wake me up (Cuz she knows I like my sleep and cant wake up worth of )
"Hey mom, I tried to call your phone and it went to some strange voicemail Google system"
"I didn't get any call.... hold on...... Call me again"
So I did
"Im not getting anything on my end.... Perhaps you can tell me what these strange texts are"
So I look at her messages and WHY SHE DIDN'T THINK IT WAS ODD was when her text said that HER GOOGLE ACCOUNT PASSWORD HAD BEEN CHANGED beats me. And then a few more texts that came up in Vietnamese (I'm studying it so I know what it looks like).
I told her and so she called Verizon and after an hour of being on the phone, She had to leave for work so now I am stuck with her phone and dealing with all her ing issues LOL.
So another hour goes by and Im like "FUUUUUU I have to be at the mechanics".
The lady decided that we should back up her cloud system and since MY MOM DOESNT DELETE ANYTHING, EVER!! it is only at 3% and still has 22 hours left on it. LIKE WTF MOM! CLEAN OUT YOUR PHONE!!
The lady said that since it is takin a while that she will call me back when everything is up and ready to go and that she will message me via an app that is allowing her to see into the phone. I told her I had to go to the mechanics and she said she will chat with me via the app.
So I left the mechanics and I told my brothers friends dad what happened and he looked at it and told me that my radiator is cracked and broken (which explains why there was leaking from my car after I parked).
So since there was a ton of cars ahead of me, he said that I should come back around 5 (So I have 5 hours to wait) and that the price to fix the car would be $300.
Thank God my cousin was in the neighborhood and was able to pick me up (and will take me back to the shop). So she took me home and then it dawned on me that.... I COULDN'T GET INTO MY HOUSE CUZ MY HOUSE KEY IS WITH MY CAR KEYS.
Another thank you baby Jesus that my aunt lives next door and has a spare key.
So now, I am messaging the lady via that app and she HASN'T REPLIED in over 10 minutes and so now I have no idea what is going on with the phone or anything.
MY PHONE JUST NOW MADE A ING NOISE LIKE I WAS ON ONE OF MY GAMES OR SOMETHING WHEN ITS ON VIBRATE. WTF!!! NO ONE BETTER BE HACKING INTO MY PHONE NOW, DU MA!
WHY DO I HAVE THE TIEST OF LUCK?!
