Boyfriend/JJCC - a review of one crazy night

All right, so it's real life story time from an author who is too emotionally unstable to stick to regular updates.

On the 6th of February I attended a Boyfriend/JJCC concert, in which I somehow managed to get right to the front.
I went in with the expectation of simply having a good time and bopping to the music, leaving afterwards with a big smile on my face and a sense of freedom in my heart.
But, it turned into far more than that.

Before the concert even began, I (a very introverted person) managed to befriend a few other people, who I could dance and sing with whilst we waited for the main acts to walk out onto the stage. The DJ who performed in this period played multiple remixes of massive Kpop hits and did such a great job entertaining us all that JJCC thought it would be appropriate to come out and cutely provide him with a tray of refreshments.

It was nearing 7pm and I turned my head to see half of JJCC standing off to the side. They were jumping and pumping themselves up, getting ready to make a proper appearance. Sancheong caught me staring and posed for my camera like the precious being he is, before they jogged up and the party began.

E.co seemed to like my side very much and was constantly delving into the crowd with his hands, touching us all. The others were fantastic too, of course. Sancheong especially caught my eye - once again - as he kept gesturing to me and would not stop until I did the gesture in return. He seemed very pleased every time he caught me taking a photo of him and very teasingly smirked. Though I went in with Eddy as my bias, I left unable to say I have a bias in JJCC any longer. They were all too brilliant, playing games with the crowd and performing so wonderfully that one would think they were listening to the studio versions. It was also pleasant to see their two newest members fitting in well.

Boyfriend came out just a little past 8pm and I could barely believe how flawless they looked. I could extend my hand and touch them, yet my brain just couldn't comprehend that they were really so beautiful. They, like JJCC, were all very interactive and playful. Their little pieces of English were adorable (especially Donghyun, whose cuteness levels exceeded 100%) and I couldn't stop myself from laughing. Here's a little scenario:
Host: If you were to have an Australian animal as a pet, what would it be?
Minwoo (not quite understanding): Animal? *points to the crowd* You are my pets?
Donghyun: No, no, not pet.

My Boyfriend bias is Jeongmin and I was lucky enough to have him standing right next to me for an entire song, unmoving, just singing gracefully. I wanted to look at him and only him, but something else caught my attention. I'm not quite sure if this is a common occurrence or if I just did my makeup well enough to receive a lot of attention, but Youngmin was most certainly looking my way every few seconds. At first I thought he just liked that I was filming him, because he would smirk and would not break eye contact for long periods of time, but then my phone ran out of battery. When I put my phone back in my pocket, he continued to look over, grinning in that teasingly playful sort of manner. My heart fell into my stomach, out of either nerves or complete and utter shock. The videos on my phone are full of Youngmin staring and I will treasure them forever. I will also treasure the many closeups I have of Donghyun's ugly Dad sweater.

After the concert ended, I was one of the selected few able to go and actually quickly interact with the bands. I'll give a short run-down on each member.
1) Boyfriend
Minwoo was just a bit taller than me, and he had the largest of smiles on his face. He was very petite and pretty up close and his voice was sweet as he thanked me for attending the show.
Jeongmin was totally flawless, even in spite of being the same height as me. He had a gorgeous smile and I was in disbelief at how soft his hands felt against mine.
Donghyun was very cute, and I let him know that. His response was 'no, you are cute' and my response was the biggest grin in the world.
Hyunseong was incredibly handsome, with lovely skin and ily styled hair. His English was limited (like most of the others, I suppose), but he did not fail to express his gratitude for my support.
I got to Youngmin next and I was slightly nervous, especially as he towered over at me. I peered up at him as my hands pressed against his and he winked...but the cool charade crumbled and he giggled at his own cheesiness. I turned into a laughing mess.
Kwangmin was very hyperactive and just a little shorter than his twin. After I high-fived him, he continued to wave enthusiastically at me until I was half-way across the stage.
2) JJCC
Simba was a giant in comparison to me, with some really wonderful broad shoulders. He had an unforgettable smile and in spite of his outgoing character on stage, seemed somewhat shy in person.
Sancheong came next and due to our little interactions, I let him know how handsome he looked that night. In return, he complimented me (though I will keep this words a secret).
Eddy was very clearly sweating in the Australian heat, but he still managed to look absolutely flawless. How one's teeth could be so white and shiny, I will never know.
Prince Mak - the precious bean from my country - was...beautiful, honestly. Not in a girly way, just beautiful. He had really lovely features and a figure that I was (and still am) very jealous of. I will miss him! Come home soon.
Zica was so damn adorable with his little round cheeks and crescent eyes. Our hands shot out at weird times, so our high-five sort of turned into that paddy-whack came and we simply chuckled at one another as our hands slapped together again and again.
Yul had quite a serious expression, but he was really just a sweetheart behind sharp features. His smile was so bright and wide as I walked up and thanked him for his performance.
Then, there was one of the largest surprises of the night. E.co's arms shot out and embraced me. He felt so warm and I felt so tiny in comparison to his towering height and wide frame. I didn't want to let him go and it was seriously a struggle to see him waving at me as I was made to leave the stage.

I attended both BTS and Big Bang last year, but nothing has ever had me more emotional than leaving BF/JJCC. I felt like I truly connected with them and was able to see them as real, normal people. They were humble, kind, hilarious and outright hilarious and I am so grateful for the fantastic show they put on. There is a month left until I head over to Korea once more, and I know I will be spending a lot of that time with wet eyes as I look at the videos/photos and a madly thumping heart as I relive the thousand times Youngmin stared into my soul.

If anyone ever has the chance to see either Boyfriend or JJCC in concert, I do recommend it. They are a bloody awesome group of people and I couldn't be more pleased with the performance they put on here down under.

(I doubt anyone will read this. If anyone does, let me know if you want to see some photos. Also, this isn't proof read or anything so???)

GOD DAMN FLIRTY YOUNGMIN
