New Feature: Tag Feed

I haven't done one of these in a while so it feels good to come out with something new. You're now able to subscribe to tags and view the latest updated stories for every tag you are subscribed to in your tag feed. So for example, subscribing to the exo, romance, oneshot, shinee, and kai tags will allow you to view the latest updated stories with any of those tags in your tag feed. Your tag feed link is in your top bar marked as "Feed" or in the menu on mobile.

There are a few caveats for now since this feature is experimental:

The main one is that you're limited to 25 tags that you can subscribe to (50 for gold members). I'll need to wait and see what the servers can handle since compiling a list of stories from 25 different tags is a much more computationally intensive process than your typical 'latest stories' query.

Also, the list of stories that each tag can "remember" is capped at 25 stories. In effect, it's like seeing the front page of every tag you're subscribed to in your feed.

Another slight caveat is that a newly updated story will only show up on your feed if the author updated their story while already tagged with one of your subscribed tags. Their story won't show up on your feed if they first update their story, then decide to add more tags afterwards. So if you want your story to show up on people's feeds, fully tag up your story first then do your update.

Despite the limitations, I think the feed will be useful and convenient to a lot of people. If the servers can handle it and if people like it enough to use it all the time, I'll look into increasing the limits. We'll see how it goes.

And tacking this on at the end: work has started on the Asianfanfics mobile app! The first version is going to strictly be a reader app where you can log in, browse through the latest stories and updated tags, read through your subscriptions, bookmarks, labels, and now the tag feed, as well as save stories (most of that is actually done already!). No writing, commenting, or messaging yet (that's for a later update). I'll post another update about the app in a few weeks and maybe do a preview. Check out the app fundraiser if you want to help support the app development and earn the App Founder badge. We're almost there!

Will try it for sure :)
Oh, can you please help me with my problem? I have contacted AFF Helper, but the last time they online was months ago. When I use the new theme, I can't post any comments on stories and blogs. Everytime I hit post, the page gets refreshed and the comment box is blank again. I use the old theme right now, by the way.

Thank you for constantly working to improve the site. I'm sure it's not easy with what I assume is a small staff but we appreciate it! Some minor feedback: I wish the 'Feed' link wasn't the first option in the list of links at the top. As a writer I'd much prefer 'Stories' to continue to be first, then others since that's the link I use the most. Also, I am very excited about the upcoming mobile app. I really hope you'll be able to add the ability to comment soon after you get it running. I love reading reader's comments and it would frustrate me knowing they might have commented but were unable to on their phones. I know that the process happens in stages so I'll try to be patient as you roll out each enhancement. Thank you again!
