This ...

Oh sweet jesus.... I had such a horrible day at work. Usually it's my coworkers that give me a hard time, but this time, it had nothing to do with the managers or my other coworkers. It was extremely overwhelming my whole shift due to the customers.

At first, there was no one at the bread station, so they asked me to come in earlier since I am one of the only 3 people who know how to close the station down. I was over there for a few minutes while one of the girls from the bakery section went to lunch. She was suppose to watch the bread station while I pulled out the bread from the freezer for tomorrow.

Anyway, when I came back, they got a girl from the front end of the store to stand in the bread station while I went back to the deli, where I was suppose to be. Not even 5 minutes into my time over there, I had a rude customer.

One of the managers asked me to get more samples and to tell one of the guys we had working with us that he had a mystery shop. I did exactly that. When I went to go tell him that, this lady flips out and says to me 'Don't you know it's against the rules to whisper. You learn that in kindergarden'.... I'm over here like 'Where in the hell did you learn that because, I never learned anything like that ...' Of course, I never said that. I apologized and then she called me weird. She said 'Everytime I come in here, I tell you that you're weird. You're a really weird person." I didn't say anything after that and just apologized, letting the guy get back to helping her... That literally ruined my entire day. I told the manager that asked me to do samples, I told my bro, I made sure the two people I was working with knew what happened and I told the manager that was closing with us in the deli.

I'm seriously not gonna get in trouble for someone getting mad at me for whispering.... Who in the hell gets mad at someone for whispering? For all she knows, I could've been telling him that his apron was untied or that his pants leg needed to be adjusted, or just telling him what a manager said, like I was doing. The lady ruined everything and abused her mystery shop power.

I know, if deli fails, it's gonna be because of me, even though she wasn't my customer. That's exactly why I had to make sure numerous people could vouch for what happened. I even wrote a long note to the other managers telling them what happened in case they catch wind of us failing. I really hope it doesn't come down to that.
