It always surprises me which of my fics end up being popular and which ones don't, especially since I always have a vision in my mind of how well recieved they're going to be.

For example, my latest fic (a ZiKyung SMTM AU) is getting comments nearly every day, and I'm only up to the second chapter. I didn't start it with the intention of it being that way, and it's getting a lot more attention than I predicted. On the other hand, my JaePyo vampire AU fic is getting like no comments (in comparison) where I wrote that with a deliberate intention to be good. and I may be a bit bitter about it. That's not to say that I'm not making an effort with the ZiKyung, because I am, but rather the JaePyo prompt spoke to me, and the fic speaks to me, too. Perhaps it's the pairing (ZiKyung is a lot more popular than JaePyo, I know). It happened with my taeypo vamp fic, as well (I think I just love vampires?). 

Perhaps it's cause it's an AU, I don't know. It hasn't persuaded me to write more AUs, though, as I still don't really like them. Not as much as canon, anyway! I often find there's an overload of AU fics (especially on here and on LJ) so me writing canon balances it out per se.

Anyway, I've just started writing for another fandom (not kpop) and I am desperately trying to balance that with Block B, to ensure I don't neglect one over the other. I'm off to write some more of that ZiKyung now (which always involves watching more SMTM, yay).
