IU is twenty-three and I'm falling deeply

I love songs that experiment with sounds and bring to the table something absolutely unique, while still sounding breathtaking, and this is just that. It reminds me of something Gain or Lim Kim would promote, while still very clearly belonging to IU. Her voice is also so interesting in this, taking on that haunting sound it had in past songs like "Cruel Fairytale" and "Pierriot Smiles at Us" (coincidentally two of my favourite songs by her)

And the music video oh my god. IU has always had amazing M/Vs, from "Lost Child" to "Red Shoes" there are almost always interesting and original plot lines and imagery that take you to a place you've only dreamed of. This one in particular is especially interesting, and I watched it probably five times in a row before realizing I was late for class.

This entire album is brilliant to be honest. I didn't think it could even come close to the perfection that is Modern Times or Flower Bookmark, but she just keeps proving me wrong. While nothing can beat those two in my opinion, this album has cemented it's place in top three of my favourite albums from her for sure.

And the best part? After listening to this album, I've finally gotten out of my writing slump. I don't know what it is about her music, but it always manages to help me when I need it. She is my savior, honestly. Between her and Taeyeon's albums, I've been on an absolute high.

IU, hwaiting!
