As I mentioned in my previous post, the server that served the script to move the story sidebar from right to left went down and I decided to make the sidebar position a setting instead so it doesn't have to deal with unreliable scripts at all. If you look at the very bottom of your story sidebar, there should now be a link that says "<< Move sidebar left". Of course, you'll also have "Move sidebar right >>" if you change your mind.

So here's a bit of a disclaimer: I ended up having to change the way all user site preferences are set and changed dozens of files. I tested it as thoroughly as I could but sometimes, bugs find a way anyway. So if the site doesn't behave according to the settings you set under your profile->site preferences section, please let me know.
