Well, I'd ask why they felt the need to lie to me. I'd encourage said friend to talk out the issues they have with me, if any, and then come to so type of resolve. And if said friend want to be difficult and not try to work things out, then that would be my cue to end the friendship.

to me i just ignore it.. it is their choice to lie...i mean nothing good if i give time for that and give them chance to explain...

depends what they lied about, if they lied and didnt apologise or tell u their reasons after u found out then you wait until you do, donut approach them, give them a chance to redeem themselves, If they dont bother then you know that they aint ur real friend cos they lied, 2, they didnt confess their sins, and 3 ur left hanging like an idiot.

it honestly depends on the exact circumstances... but unless it was something really horrible, I would probably forgive them after they explain themselves and apologize...

I'll wait and see if they're going to confess their lie and seek apology from me or not.
