Because if a song has 'deep meaning' to it it's almost always considered a master piece whereas a fun, happy song like Bar, Bar Bar is looked down upon as 'stupid'.

I don't listen to Crayon Pop much but I found Bar, Bar, Bar to be fun actually and cute. A song doesn't have to have some deep meaning to be good or amazing. DBSK had some songs like 'Balloons' as an example that I didn't quite understand the point of but it gave me a good, happy feeling by the time I finished it ^^ Same for some of IU's older albums.

Ah well. Can't please everyone I suppose ^^;

I think they're what I call an "acquired taste". I don't like the video, simply because it isn't my taste. The song isn't too bad though, and I listened to it without thinking "Oh god, can I turn this over now?" I just think Crayon Pop are one of those bands that you either really love and will love forever or you really don't and can't really be changed. What I would ask of those who, like me, aren't fans, is that you at least respect that they are putting as much effort into making the videos and performing as any other group and to respect that the songs do sometimes have strong meanings behind them. Just because we don't like them doesn't mean nobody else will and it doesn't mean they haven't worked really hard for that performance.
