Q&A 2

A/N: I'm actually so excited to do this, you guys asked some fun questions, there are a few doubles/repeats so I'll try to answer those together. If you noticed that I didn't answer your questions, search for your name because I made a little note if I was of the names of the ppl who asked me the question. There were a lot of questions, this is long, so brace yourself.

What is your writing style like? Do you plan everything out first or you go with flow? Sparkling_Genie (also fanblob)

I do a little bit of both. I usually have a pretty thorough and detailed plot outlined in advance, but sometimes I'll just add things as I'm writing the chapter, just because it works with the plot. I do plan things out with detail but I always leave room to experiment and I'll try my best to fit new ideas into my pre-planned outline. Sometimes I'll even adjust the plot I already created to fit in new ideas and if it doesn't work, I'll just set that idea aside and use it for another fic. It's good to be flexible with yourself.

Where do you get inspiration for all your stories? (also for bambamsprincess)

Usually from tv or books, sometimes I'll think of a basic idea and then ask myself 'how can I make it unique' and that's when I add some crazy conflict lol. I have a pretty over imaginative mind and my friends would tease about making up hypothetical situations and some even told me that I should try becoming a tv writer, so I guess it's just who I am as well. Not to mention I used to be a hardcore theatre kid so coming up with scripts and plots were part of my school work.

If you had to become the female protagonist for one of your stories, which one would it be? And why? blurrr

omfg, that's tough. I'd like to be Areum from The Only One. She's so badass and tough, that writing about her has inspired me to be a little more confident like her. She's a mix of the type of person that I would want to be, she's tough, she doesn't take from anyone, she's cold but when she's around people she likes and cares about, she becomes the biggest fluff ball in the world. Even though she's more of a badass, she isn't annoying and she isn't rude unless she has to be. She's independent but still relies on her family and mate lol when she needs them. And anyway, who wouldn't want a giant fluffy wolf as their mate/pet? I never had a dog and being in a house full of them would be pretty awesome ;)

What story did you look forward to most when writing new chapters? And why? blurr

It's pretty clear that recently I've been leaning towards RoD, but it's only because the plot started speeding up and I didn't want to stop lol. That's usually what motivates me, when the plot is picking up pace I don't want to slow down, also I get really excited when I get close to completing a story and RoD is only a few chapters away from the end, Armed and Dangerous, however, is going to be a bit longer, so I put it off. I mainly look forward to writing fluff scenes, scenes when my lead is a couple finally or scenes in the POV of the bad guy. The bad guy scenes are pretty dark and poetic which is fun to write and usually comes easily to me. What really motivates me is revealing plot twists, so when I hit a chapter where something is about to be revealed, I get super excited.

Any plans for new upcoming stories after you finished the uncompleted ones? blurrr

My mind is always running lol. Yes! I do have plans for future stories. After I complete my on-going ones, I have a short (25ish chp) Yongguk story that I'm prepping for and then after that I am going to write a spin off for The Only One about Jinyoung. After that story I don't have anything planned, but I'm sure I'll think of something

What's your favorite GOT7 era? :3 rietokki

I would put a tie between A and Just Right.

When did you start writing? And what made you want to write? rietokki (also Sarahhx3)

I started writing on this site a little over a year ago. I believe last May, What made me right? Well there were a few authors whom I commented a lot on their stories with theories and a lot of them replied back saying that I had mentioned plot ideas that they didn't even think of. They complimented my ideas and asked me why I'm not writing on aff. My only response was that I'm not the motivated type but most of them said that I seemed like a really good writer, so one day when I was done school, I was just like 'why the hell not?' I thought it would give me something to keep me busy. I never expected this sort of amazing support!

Do you usually know how the story you're writing is going to end or do you just go with the flow? Foreverland

Yeah, I usually know exactly how the story will end. It's usually one of the first few things that I plan out when I'm working out the details of my plot. It's good to know what direction you're going in just because I love foreshadowing so it helps to know what's in store in the future.

What part of writing a story do you find most challenging? Foreverland

Plot twists, normally they're easy for me, but when people correctly guess some of them, I get nervous and scared because I feel like it reflects poorly on my writing. I know sometimes it's inevitable but it's still stressful to try to stay ahead of your genius readers. Other than that, I sometimes find it challenging to pace the development of the relationship between the two leads. I never want it to be too fast but at the same time I really like writing fluff, so I try to find excuses to write in any sort of fluff (i.e. Himchan's sort of wet dream)

Do you ever get writers block? If so, how do you overcome it? Foreverland (also for bambamsprincess)

I do get writer's block but I don't really have anything I do in specific to get over it. Usually I'll step away from my writing and do other things. I often find that going for a car ride helps me think (but only when I'm not driving) I usually listen to music while in the car and it helps. Other times, just reading other author's amazing writing, even if their story is totally different will rev me up to get back on the writing train. Sometimes I won't write a chapter chronologically.  Like I'll write the middle of the chapter first and then write the beginning.

What is your all-time favorite book? Foreverland

This is not a fair question. I love reading. I have so many favourite book lmfao. If I had to choose , urgh, it would be a tie between Dark Places by Gillian Flynn and House Rules by Jodi Picoult

Bias in Got7? I've always wondered about this lol Foreverland (also for hwastal)

Got7 is one of the rare few groups of which I genuinely love each member. I'm not a huge fan of all of their music (sometimes it's hit or miss for me) but they're all so authentic and genuine and down to earth. And they are grossly underrated esp considering they're from JYP. I'd say Mark is my favourite, then Jackson and then Youngjae.

Name a song that describes your personality otaku4life

Oh god, I don't even know what my personality is. Hmmm Korean song would be Shoebox by Epik High, english song would be Run The World (Girls) by Beyonce just because girls are pretty kickass J

How do you get inspiration for all your stories? And who are some of your favourite authors? akiazmi

I get inspirations from everywhere. I'll take a vague idea from a movie, tvshow, book and put my own twist on it. My mind is always coming up with ideas, it's like a leaky faucet.

Man I have a long list of favourite published authors: Sophie Kinsella, Linwood Barclay, Jodie Picoult, Gillian Flynn, Dean Koontz, Rainbow Rowell, Stieg Larson, Chuck Palahniuk and that's just off the top of my head

Other than Mark, who did you consider as a suitable male lead for this story? angela_saldanjeno

Well, when I first came up with the idea, I had already written out the plot to Himchan's story, but since his character was a cop, I considered changing Sang Hee's character in a psychic and I was just going to combine my two ideas together. However, I was so invested in the characters I already built along with the flow of the plot that I knew I couldn't fuse the two idea. So I figured that I'd just write another story and at the time I was obsessed with Mark lol so it was a no brainer, but if I had to pick another lead, it would probably be Jaebum and I have no idea why. He just looks like he could be a detective.

I was wondering how you come up with all the intricate plots and where you get the information about cop life from? foreignatheart

I don't really know how I come up with them either. It's just how my brain works. I always try to see how I can make things connect nicely, or how I can push the limits. Nothing is too much. The cop info is pretty easy…I'm addicted to cop dramas/shows/movies. Thriller and mystery is my hands down favourite genre, so I expose myself to a lot of literature and media in that genre so I have a lot of background knowledge on it as it is.

Whats your favorite color? TaeWooYang

Oooh, I think Maroon is my favourite colour, aside from that, I like the typical black and grey and sometimes navy blue.

Are you into BTS, and do you think would ever write a story focused on them? ExoticLuhan

I've been a fan of BTS since their debut. I've had mixed feelings about RapMon lately due to some touchy comments he's made recently though. I have considered writing about them, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

Also, I was wondering if you were thinking of creating a spin off of this for youngjae and yuan? Or Jackson and someone else? pandabearasian

Yuan and Youngjae won't ever get a spin off bc they're not romantically involved. Aside from the fact that it'd get weird that their older siblings have a thing going on, I just don't view them in that way. They're a little less than friends. He has his own group and she had her own, they got to know each other bc of the project and bc of Mark but that's as far as it goes. With Jackson, maybe, I think it might be fun to write a story about the player cop finally finding a real girl to settle down with, but I haven't planned anything, so it's a minor possibility.

Your chapters are always so lengthy so how long do you take to write them everyday? rosetan98 (also for VocalPrincess)

It ranges. Sometimes It'll take a couple of hours, especially if I already wrote out some scenes in advance or  if the writing just flows easily. Other times it could take up to a whole day, but I don't sit and write non-stop, I will write sporadically throughout the day. It usually never takes longer than a day. I'll start writing around noon (maybe earlier) and be done around 6-7 PM and then I'll wait until after midnight to post it.

What did you do to my life? how I'm gonna survive till next update then???? littleblib

Looooollllllll

Are you a fan of zico?? I am sooo in love with him omgg also where do you get your storylines from I mean they are sooo crazily amazing daamn kshjyh

I think the first Block B song I ever heard was Narina, I loved it. Became a Block B fan soon after. Those boys have gone through a lot of traumatizing . I have found Zico to say some problematic things and act a pretty problematically, but as a person, I do like him a bit, he does seem like a legit guy. And my storylines just come from everywhere, I honestly don't have an answer for that.  : )

Do you have any plan on writing or publishing a novel? essndynn (also for jleechandler3)

It is a dream of mine.

I didn't really think about it until I started writing here. It's a dream to not publish books online and sell them, but to actually see them in a bookstore being sold. It's a little ambitious, but my dream is that I write a book that gets adapted into a movie, but again, it's ambitious. I'm well aware that my fanfics are not enough to be THAT good. They are definitely not bookstore level considering the plot is a bit romanticised and there's too much fanfic fan service. Would people still connect with my characters if they weren't idols? I know that the idol plays a role in the fic being seen through rose coloure glasses. There's a lot of work I need to do and a long way for me to go. If I were to ever publish a novel, it would unlike my fics on this site. I'd want to write something deeper but still exciting, I don't know if I have the skill for that, though, but it would be an unreal dream if I could ever become a published author.

Do you finish writing this story or just continue writing after updating a chapter? ProudToBeBana0423

It depends, sometimes when I realize that a chapter is getting too long, I'll take a part out and use it for the next chapter, in that case, I might just start writing the next chapter right after I post the most recent update. Other times I'm just on a roll and will finish half of a new chapter. But majority of the time, I write one chapter each day. Once I finish writing a chapter, I'm done for the day.

And any tips for anyone who wants to write but doesn't really know anything about writing?  ji_hyun (and Sarahhx3)

I answered the first part of your question earlier for someone else. For your second half, I'll give you my take on it. (prepare yourself for a long response)

First and foremost, WRITE SOMETHING YOU ACTUALLY ENJOY. If you don't like wolf fics, then don't force yourself to write one for popularity. However, if you enjoy writing wolf fics, even if ppl think they're cliché, DO IT. If you don't like what you're writing, you will not feel motivated or complete it.

Second, have a pretty good outline of what's going on. Everyone organizes themselves differently, but in my POV, if you don't have a beginning, conflict and relative solution planned out, you might not feel motivated to complete it either. If you're writing without a real direction, then you'll be writing in circles and you won't know what to do with your work. Even if you have an amazing idea, make sure you have a direction to take the story. Say you have the idea of a girl meeting a dragon (who is really a human) and will train him and have it be a funny relationship. That's a great idea, but then what? Is there a villain? Are there allies? Are there obstacles or silly scenarios when the two are training? Is there a huge battle? If so, what's it about? If you don't consider these things as some point in the beginning of your writing or story, then you might find it difficult to motivate yourself or continue your plot. When you're excited about what you have in store, the readers will feel that same anticipation and it will make you want to write more. That being said, everyone functions differently, these are just things that I consider, some people organize themselves in different ways.

Thirdly, look for inspiration everywhere. At the airport picking up some family? What would your characters do if they had to drive to the airport and pick up a friend? Doing groceries? How would your characters bicker over what to buy? Inspiration is everywhere. Go for a walk, take a drive, take the subway for no reason, you'll see some interesting people or have interesting thoughts that can turn your story and plot into something so much more interesting. Plagiarism is a fickle thing, so be careful when you look at other media, BUT it is very important to expose yourself to different movies, films and writing. When you block yourself off to just your own work, then you'll limit your creativity. I go to art gallaries, watch films english, french, korean, german and spanish, watch MVs, short films, indie films, read novels, read ffs and listen to a range of music. This helps me see the world and art on a scale way bigger than myself and what I'm capable of and it helps me expand and experiment with my own skills. Right now my biggest inspiration is Tablo and it's been like that for a while now.

Fourthly, have fun. I wrote Home (my first fic) just to kill time over the summer. It wasn't serious and it was something I wrote just based off my knowledge on how ppl write fanfics here on AFF. Soon, I got more invested and had more fun writing. I didn't expect anyone to look at my work and honestly, at the time I didn't know the importance of upvotes and subscribers bc I had only been active on the site 1 year prior. I barely knew what upvoting was. All I did was focus on my story and updating. I updated constantly, first every other day and then every day. People would see my story being constantly updated and would click it just to see what it was about. So always stay at it and don't give up. Have fun with it and once you stop having fun, maybe it's time to give it up.

Finally, it's okay to use cliché tropes like wolves, gangs, etc. But always have fun trying to make it new and fresh. Think of real life ppl and then think of archetypes like the mean girl, the girl next door, the heart throb or the bad boy and see how you can make them more 2D. Real people are layered. A girl who is classified as a '' is way more than that. People act differently in front of friends, enemies, family and alone. Keep that in mind. A bad boy can be good and good boy can be bad. What makes good characters is when you make characters with outrageous personalities and lifestyles STILL seem human, realistic and relatable. So every now and then think to yourself "What would I do if I met a guy (who isn't already a famous idol) turned out to be a wolf?"  Keep in mind that no one is perfect and people are flawed. Sometimes these flaws make someone vulnerable but sometimes they make them a piece of . Either way, even the main character can sometimes do something unlikable or -y and it's okay as long as there is a reason behind it. Think about all the times that you've acted out or been rude. No one's perfect.

You might run into negativity, either directed at you or see ppl take things WAAYYYY too seriously on AFFC, but don't take it seriously. It's a fun thing to do and the second you complain about little things, it won't be fun anymore, so try your best to keep a positive outlook.

Okay, that was long.

I always wanted to know what your favorite Kpop bands are, maybe also biases? ttalgi-- (also Sarahhx3 and exovip1993)

Dude, I listen to a ton of bands, it's no joke.  So when you say favourite, I'll list the band whom I'll download their whole album without listening to it first.

BAP (bias Yongguk)

BTS (bias Suga)

Big Bang duh (bias, all of them, but also GD and Daesung)

Epik High (bias Tablo and DJ Tukutz)

2NE1 (bias CL and Bom)

Mamamoo (bias Hwasa and Moonbyul)

Sistar (bias Hyorin and Bora)

Day6 (bias YoungK and Jae)

Block B (I don't really have a bias, I just like their music)

Winner (bias Seungyoon and Seunghoon and Mino)

iKON (bias Junhoe and Donghyuk still learning about the other boys, so it'll probably change)

AkMu (bias both of those adorable cuties)

Primary (he isn't kpop and he is mainly a producer, but he's the best and I love every song he produces)

Crush

EXID (bias Hani and LE)

Zion. T

Lee Hi (her voice is amazing)

Wonder Girls (bias Sunmi for life.  she is soooo pretty.)

Red Velvet (bias Seulgi)

Hyorin as a solo

Shinee (bias is Key)

How do you think of all these amazing storylines and HOW DID YOU LEARN TO WRITE LIKE A PRO!?! prima99

Haha, I come up with the plots because my mind is always thinking about stories and hypothetical situations and what hasn't been done. What's new? What's fun? What's cool. I think I'm just wired to plot stuff out like that esp bc I'm a theatre nerd who lives off of writing plots and scripts. I take ideas from everywhere. And trust me, writing like a pro didn't come naturally. I hardly consider myself a pro at all, but I got to where I am by learning and practicing and trying and failing. My first fic, Home, honestly, it's incredibly embarrassing. It's so cringeworthy and I want to delete it, but people seem to really like it and it's a bit sentimental to me. Not to mention it shows how much I've grown as an author. Don't give up when you write. Just keep at it and you'll start seeing yourself mature and polish.

What got u into kpop? nerd_91 (also for exovip1993)

My older sister lmfao. Her friends showed her Big Bang's debut song when it came out in 2006 LaLaLa and she showed it to me and I was hooked on Big Bang. I was young so my sister would download music for me so then I listened to Lollipop ft 2ne1 and I fell in love with those girls and then We Belong Together and Forever with You made me fall in love with Park Bom and Fan by Epik High got me addicted. After that, I focused mainly on those three bands, but as I got older, I started venturing out into other bands and doing research etc. etc.

Did you do a research or something when you want to write a story? taurusgirl

Only if I'm writing about something I don't know. Like when there's a medical issue, I'll do research to see what would cause the medical issue, like memory loss or blood loss. I like my fics to be authentic in some sense. So in action fics, I'll search up what is likely to kill a person, a stab to the stomach or the stab to the neck? Or I'll look up how the law works and if it's possible for someone to go to jail for something. In TOO I looked up different poisonous flowers and spent about 20 minutes picking the best one. lmfao. I also found myself doing a lot of research on how guns work. looooll. If you're going to write about something you don't know it's better to do research and make it realistic than it is to make up stuff just to fit your story.

Do you like watching a cop series? Like ncis or something like that? taurusgirl

I do. I think I've watched every single American crime/thriller/cop show there is. lol. I've watched a bit of NCIS but I didn't really like it. I found it boring bc I'm not that interested in the navy, but I do have a large arsenal of crime dramas-shows-movies.

Will you make another Mark's story after this story ends? Cuz I'm deeply in love with this one <33 Evelyne1102

For sure. Although I have nothing in the works, Mark and Yongguk are my go-to male leads.  I really want to write another story for him, I just need to figure out a plot.

Hi loviet! Is it personal if I ask you your name and age? I'm just curious. Have you watched Detectives in Trouble? I already mentioned that I remembered that when I was new to this story. simple_siren

It's a bit personal, sorry. I don't like giving that info out. I don't know if I watched that drama. Is that the one with Song JI Hyo as a reporter? If so, then yeah, I totally watched it J

About the rules written in every chapter, who are those for? Saera told Mark that everything she did was just deductions so I can assume that it was for Saera. But does it also apply to the other characters as well? My favorite would be rule #26. simple_siren

Good question ;)

I would like to ask which kind of movies and books of you read to gain inspirations from? Would you mind listing a few titles? ecstasyninja (also for Kpop_4evar)

I can give you a list of my favourite movies (I posted a list of my favourite authors in another question) But I don't have a specific one that give me inspiration. Inspiration hits randomly and comes from everywhere.

my favourite Korean movies are The Client, Pluto, Bleak Night, Confession of Murder, The Technicians, No Tears For The Dead, The Fives, Oldboy, Thieves, Secretly Greatly

I have some American movies but I can't remember them off the top of my head. Usually I'm fond of American comedies I have a few thriller-action ones but I just can't remember them. Sorry : )

Kpop_4evar asked for rom/com movies as well. I don't have a lot. I think my favourite would be Trainwreck, Stupid Crazy Love, Because I Said So, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, About Time, Bridesmaids, Life As We Know It

Hehe is it okay if I ask how old are you? I really like the way you write your stories and your way of writing is mature, hence the curiosity ^^
Any tips to write mystery stories or stories of this genre? ecstasyninja

My age is a bit personal. Sorry about that.  Mystery stories are pretty tricky. I'm still learning myself but from my experiences, it's important to know exactly what's going to happen. It's hard to 'go with the flow' for mystery stories. You should know all the clues, the twists, all the revelations, all the conflicts and all the solutions a head of time. It makes the story stronger and allows you to drop subtle hints.

How long have u been into kpop, which was the first kpop group and song that attracted u? meena4ever1

Been into Kpop since 2006 and it's because of Big Bang. My sister showed me their debut song LaLaLa. But what really sold me was Lies, Haru Haru and We Belong Together

Which girl group do u like? meena4ever1

I like a few. 2NE1, Sistar, Mamamoo, f(x), Red Velvet, AOA, Wonder Girls and EXID

I wanted to know from where u get the pics for the female characters in ur stories, r they from girls groups? They r soo beautiful meena4ever1

No, I have a strict rule that I don't like using female idols as my leads. I like creating my OC's from scratch and if I use a female idol as the main, then it might sway readers to picture them as the idol and their personality.  The only exception I ever made was for The Only One bc it was hard for me and my poster designer to find a blonde ulzzang. The poster has krystal and my story has Minju from Ark luckily that group is not that popular so it's not too bad. But yeah, other than that, I avoid using female idols at all costs.

So yeah, I normally use ulzzzangs that I google, but it's a long process for me to chose the right one. I usually want an ulzzang that looks like a regular adult and not an overly cutesy, big eyed doll. I also don't like using the typical popular ulzzang that everyone uses. There are like 5 popular ones that are on everyone's story so I try to find less popular ones. It's really a long process with a lot of searching. I like the continuity so other than The Only One, all the girls on the posters are the same girls that I use under the character bios. And they were all found on google.

One more question. Christmas with exes was ur first story that I read. Still now I hav strong longing to read it once again. If it's not bothering u can I ask u if u could reupload it. meena4ever1

Although that story was completed, I dealt with some pretty bad stuff once that sotry was posted. I was essentially attacked, accused and cyber-bullied and I made the decision to take it down. It made me realize that I don't want to write for exo because the fans are too much for me to deal with and I just don't want to get involved in that pool of authors and stories. It was a really bad experience and although I have a copy of the story saved, I will not ever be posting it or sending it to people individually. I'm sorry but that story is as good as dead.

Is there a genre that you want try and do for your future stories? Genre(s) that you think are the most challenging? meena4ever1

Supernatural is tricky. It's hard bc when you create something that isn't real in a canon world, you need to create a whole universe for it. If you want vampires to exist, you can't just throw them in there and call it a day. You need to give them history. There must be rules about what vampires can or cannot do. You are essentially creating a whole new world.

But to stem off, the hardest would be dystopian/post-apocalyptic. The same reasons. You're creating a whole new universe with new properties and new challenges and I just don't find that interesting.

There isn't really a specific genre. I think I've been doing most of the major ones that I'm interested in. I'll be doing one , coming up, that will be more 'normal' slice of life. I think I might want to try writing angst, but idk, if I'll enjoy it. I'm kind of the person who will stick to their strengths so who knows!

Lastly, any member(or solo artist) from a K-Pop group you have the feels for lately? Current song that you like from them? ;D <33333 Kpop_4evar

I've had Don't Be Shy by Primary ft ChoA and Iron on repeated since it's release.

I've also been keeping my eye on Crush, Zion. T. I'm patiently waiting for Big Bang and iKON to drop music. I haven't really been into any new groups. I've been sticking to my regular faves. I have been paying attention to CLC, but I don't like that they're edging more towards the annoying cutesy-ageyo image. I think they're really talented and I want to see something more. But I'll be keeping my eye on them. Most of my music in the last 2 weeks have been American so if you ask me again in another 2 weeks, I'll probably have more kpop songs.

Have you ever been to a kpop concert? bambamsprincess

No, but omfg, I'm going to the Big Bang Made concert in October. It'll be my first concert ever and I'm so excited bc all the fancams from the other venues look awesome. It's on my bucket list. Aside from them, I want to attend a YG Family Concert and an Epik High concert.  I'm pretty sure BB is one of the hands down best live performers in kpop. It's going to be an amazing experience.

What kind of music do you listen to outside of kpop? bambamsprincess

I listen to different  types. I listen to Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Beyonce (the Holy Trinity) but I also listen to Lorde, Hoizer, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran. I'll listen to Jason Derulo, Drake and The Weeknd but I'll rock out to Maroon 5, Hedley and Mariana's Trench. It's hard to classify my music taste. As long as it sounds good, I'll listen to it.

What your writing process? bambamsprincess

I don't really have a process, once I have an idea, I just chip away at the plot. I'll add different ideas or scenes and slowly build the story up before I start posting. Sometimes I'll write out full scenes, other times I'll write bullet points or sometimes I'll write a paragraph just outlining what I want to happen. Then I start writing. Usually I have a pretty good idea of how the story will start and as I update, I'll have more ideas and then I'll add them on to my rough notes and expand the story into something deeper and more complex.

What do you do when you're having a hard time moving a scene along? bambamsprincess

Honestly, I just try powering through it. If nothing is really happening, I'll try to make it a fluff moment and make my characters do something menial and make it cute. Or I'll try to evoke an emotion. If the scene is boring, I might make one character get really mad or really sad or really happy. But also when I start reaching the of a story, I'll start plotting out mini chapter outlines indicating what should be accomplished in each chapter. If things start to drag, I might combine two chapters together so that more things happen. When I wrote my first chapter outline, I had a total of 47 chapters, but as I was writing, I realized that a lot of the scenes didn't have much going on, so I combined a few chapters and now I have a total of 43-44 chapters planned.

What is your favorite fic that you've written? bambamsprincess (also for cutiexuimin)

I would say Christmas with the Exes, but as I mentioned in an earlier question, I had to take that story down. Next would be The Only One and then Rules of Deduction. I'm excited because I think the two fics that I have planned might become my next favourites.

What genres do you like to write? Angelcarolin

Usually romance with action. But I like to keep it light hearted so I try to have some comedy here and there. I'd like to try rom-com without action. I've done it once and I liked it but I had to take the story down. Hopefully I'll get another chance.

Which idols/artistes are you planning to write stories for aside from BAP Yongguk, and GOT7 Junior or others that you’ve already plotted? Angelcarolin

Mmm, maybe the other members of got7 like Jaebum or Youngjae. I've considered Winner and iKON but I have nothing planned.

It’s a ridic question so don’t take it to heart. Lol. So you are aware of your readers’ reactions to every chapter of your stories or every time you update them. Do you honestly enjoy the storm you put your readers into with your cliffhangers, plot twists and all? Lulzz am sorry. Angelcarolin

I absolutely positively ADORE them. It's like heroine. It makes me smile when ppl freak out or spazz. It honestly is what motivates me to find more cliffhangers to write. I'm totally aware of it and it's the best feeling in the world. I 100% to your guys' pain. lol.

How do you think of amazing plots like these and have it all constructed so well, like you'll reveal a bit here and there and when the final plot comes out it somehow just all connects? hwasatal

I wish I had an answer, but honestly, it just happens, I guess. Although it helps if you leave a lot of open doors when you write so that you can connect it back together later. If you add a lot of random characters, it gives you the creative liberty to connect them into something later. It also helps when you plan things out in advance so that you can leave subtle hints along the way. Planning is key.

Do you have any stories recommendation similar to this one of got7 members? i feel like reading a got7 action story :-) hwastal

Honestly, I don't think so. Got7 doesn't have many fanfics, but the few that are out there are usually romcom or fluff. But if you don't mind reading about exo, there's an amazing author : Korekrypta who wrote a story The Blood Brother Code. It's a bit long, but if you have the time, it's a great action story.

What kind of stories do you enjoy reading? exovip1993

I like stories that are plot heavy. It's not just boy meet girl and they fall in love, but there's another bigger conflict. But honestly, I'm up for anything that is well written, well constructed and is toooo cliché. I do enjoy well written fluff as well, but again, well written plot and dialogue is very important.  I don’t  want to feel like I'm reading something written by a pre-teen or someone incredibly young or immature. I'd like to read fics that are written seriously which is probably why I stay away from crack fics. Honestly, if the plot in the foreward attracts me then I'll read it.

Okay, I don't know if I should ask this but I figured that you like BigBang. Have you ever thought of writing a BigBang fic?...cause it's not easy to write because the members have such strong colorful characters. exovips1993

I don't think so. Big Bang transcends all my other fave groups. It feels weird writing fanfics about them because I view them in a different light that I view other idols.  To me they're not idols, they're artists, so it feels odd writing for them. It feels like I'm writing about someone I personally know. They're so mature and I've followed them since they're debut that it feels awkward. I think I have only read one GD fic. It was good, but it felt so strange to read, writing it would be even worse.

And the most awaited (for me) will you officially release the hard copy? Because I'm dying to have one. Like, I already picture your stories in my bookshelf.  ohbluewind

I don't think I'll ever release a hard copy. I would want my published debut to be with something other than a fanfic. Like a serious novel, but who knows. I might need the cash one day. lol.

For this story, was there a moment wherein you had to squeeze out ideas or like you had a hard time writing? I guess when you encountered a writer's block? splatcity

Not really. I had a lot of this planned out from the get go, so it wasn't too bad. The ideas flowed out non stop. It was a fun process. I think there might have been a few filler fluff chapters that I struggled with but even that wasn't too bad.

Was all of Saera's past pre-planned? About Jinyoung, her Dad and well the hair/blonde thing? splatcity

Yup. It was one of the things that I spent the most time constructing before I started the story. In fact, the whole story, for the most part, revolved around her past so I made sure I knew all the details ahead of time.

What's the first thing that got you into writing? splatcity

I wrote on this site bc I commented a lot on other author's stories and they liked my theories so much that they suggested that I should write my own. Writing in general was a gradual interest. It started with theatre and then grew as a passion.

Who's your favourite character in Rules of Deduction? cutiexuimin

Saera. Lol. She's very breezy and confident but it's all just a mask and I think that, that's something we all relate to.  I also like Sang Min. I don't think he's a good guy or anything. But he's very interested and layered. He's an adventure to write for especially in this chapter and the next one.

What's your favourite fic? cutiexuimin

I have many. I normally read anything by Siracha31. My first fic ever was Baby I'm a Monster by -rhapsodic and it was amazing in my POV, although totally underrated and another one is Zelo's Story by kfanfiction

I just want to ask if you have any plan to publish any of your stories especially Rule of Deduction as your own novel or maybe send it to the scriptwriter or director because this is one amazing storyline. I can sure you that I will buy it. But, maybe for a drama or movie it is impossible right because I really want the real Mark, Jackson, Youngjae and others to act in it.  fatinkyung

I answered this earlier, but you phrased it a bit differently so I'm giving this a second POV. If I published this as a novel (honestly, this would be the one fic that in an ideal world I might want to be published), I would take out a lot of the mindless fluff, not all of it, but I would take out bits and pieces of it. I would also add wayyyyyy more about The Collector and I would've made the mystery a lot more complex. It would honestly be super cool to get my story noticed by someone who wants to adapt it into a movie, that would be a dream come true, but I have no idea how to reach out to directors or scriptwriters, so I wouldn't even know how to make that possible. And not to mention, I'd rather die than have any of got7 to read my fics or realize that a 'movie' was based off of a fanfic of them. If I ever publish a novel, I don't want it to be like the other published author on aff who just sell it online to their fans. I would want it sold in a bookstore, as I mentioned earlier.

I also want to ask what is your honest opinion about EXO because I read it somewhere that you don't really like them to write a whole fanfic focusing on anyone of them. I'm just curious if you have someone that you like in EXO or you just equally like them or you don't like them at all. fatinkyung

I'm impartial to EXO. I do find them pretty overrated.  I won't watch any of their shows or stuff, but I'll check out their albums and I might download a few songs. My favourite member would be DO just because his personality is so unlike the typical SM personalities and he's an amazing singer and actor. I've recently liked Kai just because I saw an article about him sort of defending a fan who was being picked on by a MC about her weight and while the other members laughed, he subtly defended her so I thought that was awesome. Honestly, I think most of my issues with EXO stems from their fans and not the band themselves. I often wonder how I would feel towards EXO if they were from another company or with different fans. I think a lot of EXO-L's are pretty sensitive to the point where they can't take honest criticism and a lot of them have really horrible behaviour towards senior artists them who are more successful and literally anyone who doesn't worship. EXO-Ls make me feel negatively towards EXO even though the boys don't really do anything wrong. I don't hate the boys, I do listen to some of their music, but I would never really invest myself into them.

A big big thank you for everyone who asked me a question, the turn out was amazing and I didn't expect this many people would ask me so many questions. Thank you so much and I hope this helps you guys get to know me better. It was nice chatting with you all and thank you so much for your support and love. It means the world to me. I'm so lucky to have such genuine, invested readers who are always there to give me respect and support.

It was nice reading this Q&A. I've found some answers about you from this session.
And we have a loot in common. Let me list it:
- we have same bias in BAP & BTS. Sometimes, I do feel like Yoongi have a bit vibes as Yongguk, their passion in music, their thinking about life, both writes deep meaning lyrics, journey about life (Yongguk AM 4:44, Yoongi intro in pt1&2). It will be dream come true if they ever collab one day.
- i am completely in love with Mamamoo (esp the sassy Maknae) and respect the group because they are composing their own song, not just singing. (2NE1 & Mamamoo is the only girl group I stan)
- Big Bang was my first group ( Haru Haru then going crazy with BBx2NE1 collab for Lolipop)
- iKon (I cried when B.I rapping during WIN final stage)
- YG biased ( 2NE1, MAGZB, AKMU, Lee Hi, Epik High, Winner)
- Used to love watching spy/cop series (Alias, CSI, NCIS, etc) and i think thats why I'm in love with your stories
- and that thing about Kai, defending the fan that got teased about her weight, i instantly fall for him. Man with manners. There's time during concert, he hides his shaking hand (nerve pain i think) during the perfomance in stage, to keep performing for the sake of the group and fans. I just cant describe him. And D.O acting & singing, he got the talent. The acting was perfect, emotion was delivered nicely during Its okay Thats Love, cant believe that was his first drama. Btw, I prefer DO voice compared to Chen & Baekhyun because he has something when he sings, something sweet perhaps.
- Rihanna, Maroon 5, Drake? Gosh same with me here. \O/
I guess we are the around the same age. I tried not to watch rookie group. LOL, because i'll be frustrated when i know their age. Again, LOL.
Anyway, it was nice reading this Q&A and I look forward to read your next stories. That was very kind of you giving writing tips for anyone who wants to start writing. Lastly, hope that one day your dream to publish novel will come true.

hey. i read your story, "Rules of Deduction" haven't been able to finish tho but im close lel
i havent been able to read fanfics for like how many months but since its christmas break, i got bored so i scrolled into the featured fics. since mark just newly entered into my bias list, i clicked your story. guess what???? YOUR STORY IS THE KIND OF STORY I CANT JUST TURN AWAY FROM. like my gash everything is so beautiful. i just kept screaming. anyways it reminded me of a kdrama called "Hello Monster/I remember you" just bc it also had a 'hot'/smart/cocky/witty detective lel, psychopaths, etc. the plot wasn't the same tho. let me just say that drama was my favorite-st. i was actually really attached to it same way i am atttached to your story rn. omg. hihi was wondering if you watched that drama? if you havent, pls give time for it ;u; i think you'll likee it. heeh okkk done mumbling. ill go back to reading your story lolers.

thanks for answering the questions! you said you liked mark, then jackson, and then youngjae. you've written a mark and a jackson fic before, any chances of a youngjae fic coming up? *winkwink* please do write one if you have time and ideas, and if you do want to. he's my ultimate bias but it's hard to find even a single good fic of his that isn't boyxboy :( and i've seen TBBC around but never read it since back then it wasn't completed and i tend to skip over incompleted fics. but now it is and since you recommended it, i think it'll be the next story i'll be reading! thank you authornim i'll be looking forward to your next update! ~ <333

If I happened to be mark or jackson or youngjae, I will feel honored that somone wrote an amazing story of me. (But well they're not me, duh)
But if you ask, will the idol name become a sort of distraction for non kpop idol. I will say no. Because I sincerely read all of your story and for me, at the beginning I had no idea how yongguk looks like. Again for me, the idol gave more clue about physical appearance than else so still your story is that good. (You know what I'm trying to say, right?)
Ah, and it's a given to found your story. Because yeap, there isn't many got7 ff and not so many serious ff on the top of that.
If it happens you want your story published, I dont know how it works on your country but here, we have like national publisher and we're free to send stories and they will gave a reply. I do suggest the darker version of rule of deduction to be published. And once again, I doubt the name will give a trouble.

TELL US WHEN THE GOOD NEWS IS HEREE! WOOOHOOOO

Thank you for answering my question. I also enjoyed reading the other answers as well. I do think you are good enough to be published. I even believe that RoD would be great to find in a bookstore...regardless of the characters' idol statuses. Best of luck in making your dreams come true! (And please let me know if you do get published. I will be sure to run out and buy a copy!)

I must say one thing . I really think rules of deduction is novel worthy and i think i would buy it or watch it if it was a movie . U may ask why . First if all am not a Got 7 fan . I don't even like them . But i read your story cuz its good . Secondly, the mark i imagine is totally different than the real mark . I was watching ine of their mv's and i was like THATS MARK!!!!HELL NO!!!! But then i got over it and decided that i like my image of mark more and use it as the character of your story . Even Jackson, although i do think he's cute ,but still he is not the image i see when reading your story . Thus the conclusion is ....... you should have more confidence in your stories and your self . Cuz i think your story is waaaaaaay better than alot of the movies i was very unfortunate to watch .
Goodluck with all your stories and your life .

I have one questions more like a statement you know some people like me don't know what we want in life or discover our talent in your case you might be right your stories on AFF might not reach the leavel of being a novel but how about you try finding authors and try learning or something like that?? I read books when I was a child and suddenly stoped on one stage of my life I started reading because of AFF again to be specific HOME really inspired me so how about you try leading your life toward writing books?? I will gladly read your bokks !! :) BtW when you update its morning in my country so the first thing I remeber is ROD this days!! Llz ^_^
