Okay the title is misleading, I haven't been fooling around, per se, but it's been a lot of trial and error-ing and that brings me to some of my posters I'd like to share with you folks :) I recently (and freaking finally) learned how properly to use a clipping in Photoshop, and that's helped me make some really nice stuff. Here's my first ever trial with a proper clipping mask (Hoseok was my victim) :3

So basically, I found a picture of a paint splatter with a .png extension (cause I've been working with transparent images so far, it's much nicer haha) and in Photoshop, you work with layers, so I used the clipping mask option and Bob's your uncle. Of course, I had to mess around a bit more since the picture of Hoseok was too small and you could see the edges i the picture #PhotoshoppingFails101
But damn this is angsty... anyway, the pictures below are from my shop SWGRAPHICS™, and also stuff I did on the side.

1) Alright, so the first poster is something I really like because of how angsty I managed to make it without completely making it black and white. Angst isn't always about black and white, it's about using soft colours, and finding the right sort of pictures for it too! That's something I learned with this request, and I think it's come out just wonderfully. It's a Malay story, if you're interested in reading it ^_^

2) I think this has to be one of my absolute favourites as of late, because of all the colours! I don't usually make such colourful posters, but I think this one is really nice #narcisissm and all the colours asdfghjkl
Using lines and shapes in my posters has sort of become a signature style of mine (as clearly shown in posters one through to three), so yeah. I really like this poster :D

3) I just made this poster this morning, using the same clipping mask effect I did with the Hoseok trial poster, and I have to say I love the way it's turned out. I'm not very good with 'cutesy' posters, but I thought this was pretty sweet, given how dark and mysterious I'd like to be with my posters ^_^
(Also the horns and the tail, the halo and the wings, it's just so cute asdfghjkl and I'm so glad that turned out well.

4) The last one was something I made the night before, and I have to say I really like it! I used the clipping mask with this one as well, and it's just so... dark and pretty y, at least, for me it really is. It's sultry and that's what I wanted to go for with this poster, and I'm glad I managed to do that :3

Flying solo (a.k.a stuff I've been doing on my own)

1) Right, so this one is for my story MBFAB, and the abudance of rectangles is strong with this one...
I love geometrical things! I can't help it >//< Anyway I won't say too much about it since it's not exactly the greatest poster I've ever done, and it was mostly experimental with all the lines and rectangles. Still pretty alright, I guess...

2) and 3)
I made these not too long back, like maybe a couple hours ago? Anyway, these are things I've been trying out, again with the clipping mask huehuehue :3 These are for my best friend's story Fifty Shades of Jimin (some of you might have read it too ;P) and they were also mostly experimental but Kai's gonna use them for her story xD Since Jimin and Hyejung (the protagonists of the story) are very contrasting characters, I decided to make one poster dark (which was Jimin since he's a very... intense person) and Hyejung (since she's... less intense #nospoilers)

4) This is another experimental poster I made for one of my upcoming stories Jung, which is Hoseok-centric and is a part of my Bangtan angst/psychological challenge. I only have one story in the challenge so far, and that's a Yoongi-centric story titled As The Tears Fall. Anyway, this is something I had a lot of fun designing, and it's just so dark and eerie and I luuuuuuuuuuurv it >//<
