The Quick, the Dead and the Divine

They say that in another realm there is a room which is perfectly symmetrical. It has no windows, no furniture; only a pedestal of stone in the centre, with a pair of scales sat atop. These scales, though in appearance seem to be perfectly uninteresting and ordinary, represent the balance of the higher plateaus; the equilibrium of the opposing forces at work in upper realms which affect those in “reality”, the realm of the living and the present.

There are times when the balance of the universe is upset- and when this happens, the scales tip, and the effects ripple through the supernatural world. If not restored, a state of chaos is imminent- however, fate is a being of knowledge and foreseer of all to come; and they planted seeds since the very dawn of time which would be the tools to restore balance if it should ever be upset, keeping the last piece to themselves to give to a worthy hero of the present when the time is right.

However, their chosen one must then live up to the expectations placed on them; for a timeless being such as fate cannot still the quickened, nor quicken the dead.

This is going to be a modern fantasy, our dear Jung Yunho as the main protagonist!
