"THINK BEFORE YOU ACT": STEPHANIE ALWAYS THINKS AND PLANS EVERYTHING BEFORE SHE INITIATES A PLAN. SHE KNOWS THAT ACTING IMPULSIVELY IS BAD AND THAT SHE DOES HAVE A KNACK FOR ACTING LIKE THAT. SO, SHE TRIES TO THINK EVERYTHING THROUGH BEFORE SHE MAKES A STUPID MISTAKE THAT COULD RUIN HER IMAGE AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS. 

"STEPH? STEPHI?.... STEPHANIE!!": BEING THE active and kowledgeable one in her opinion, HER MIND DOSES OFF EASILY WHEN SHE IS DOING things such as researching, reading a medical book or even just regularly day dreaming on her brief breaks. it tends to be HARD FOR HER TO COME BACK UNTIL SOMEONE SNAPS HER OUT OF IT. 

"sarcastic? who? Me?": YOU CAN SAY THAT SARCASM IS not A BAD CHARACTER TRAIT when you want to lessen the tense mood in the room, BUT WHEN STEPHANIE'S SARCASTIC, IT USUALLY IS get her point across and make people understand what they were doing or going to do was a stupid decision. sure she makes them feel bad, but she'd rather have fellow doctors/interns to hate her than killing a patient that coul've been saved. eASing EVERYONE ELSE WITHIN THE ROOM in her opinion, isn't her job. 

"I NEED TO DO THIS BY MYSELF. leave me alone" "NO, YOU'RE SLOWLY RUINING YOURSELF WITHOUT RECOGNIZING IT.": SELF-RELIANCE. THIS WAS A TRAIT THAT STEPHANIE REALLY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE TOLD HER THAT IT WAS A BAD TRAIT OF HERS. SHE FELT THAT JOBS WOULD GET DONE QUICKER IF SHE DID IT BY HERSELF WITHOUT THE HELP OF OTHERS. BUT IN EVERYONE ELSES EYES SHE TOTALLY RUINS HERSELF WHILE DOING SO. SURE, SHE'LL GET THE JOB DONE AND ALL, BUT DURING THE MIDDLE OF IT SHE WOULD KEEP HERSELF STRESSED OUT AND NOT THINKING ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR HER OWN GOAL. PEOPLE ALWAYS TOLD HER HOW MUCH SHE NEEDED TO SPREAD SOME OF THE WORK OUT WITH OTHERS AND GET PEOPLE TO HELP HER WHEN SHE NEEDS HELP. BUT IT'S STILL PRETTY HARD FOR HER TO THINK LIKE THAT UNTIL SOMEONE TAKES ACTION AND STEPS IN TO HELP HER AND MAKE THEM HELP HER BY FORCE.

"The perfect actress I see.": This was what one of her superiors had told her when she was attending a formal meeting/party for one of the supporters for the hospital. she would always keep up a social conversation with people who are important and try to please them because they all knew her mother. she would hate for them to judge her because of her actions. it would make her mother lose face, and she didn't want that, no matter how much she didn't get along with her mother.

"This is how you do this": Since her mother was a famous thoracic surgeon, she would always tell stephanie about her job. at first it was about how the situations at the hospital could get realy scary and hectic. but from then on her mother would come home from time to time on her days off and tell her about the heart and how heart surgery held and also about the parts of the human anatomy. because of this, stephanie was able to recieve a lot of information and knowledge about the jobs of a cardiologist. 

"GET OUT OF MY FACE. NO, JUST GET OUT OF MY LIFE!": STEPHANIE HAD A GREAT CHILDHOOD UNTILL SHE REACHED THE AGE OF 16. HER FAMILY WAS THE PERFECT IMAGE OF A HAPPY FAMILY. HER MOM WAS a famous medical professor, and her father was just a regualr salary man. HOWEVER, IT ALL CHANGED AFTER A DAY OF MOTHER/DAUGHTER TIME. STEPHANIE AND HER MOTHER HAD A GREAT TIME IN DOWNTOWN AVIGNON, SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES AND ENJOYING THE WHOLE GIRL'S NIGHT OUT. BUT WHEN SHE AND HER MOTHER CAME HOME, THEY NOTICED HOW THERE WAS A UNKNOWN CAR OUTSIDE OF THEIR HOUSE GATES. CONFUSED, THEY WENT IN TO THE HOUSE. SOON AFTER THEY GOT IN, THEY HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM UPSTAIRS. MAKING THEIR WAY UP THE LONG STAIRCASE, THEY REACHED HER PARENT'S ROOM AND OPENED THE DOOR. background. 
coming from an orphanage, jongsuk doesn't know his true parents. however, the family he was adopted into were just like his genuine family. if he knew what his true parents would be like, they would be similar to his parents right now; kind, caring and supportive. he comes from a pretty wealthy family due to his father being a neuro surgon. since his father was a thoracic surgon, he was able to learn many things from him. he came to chicago trauma center from a recommendation from one of his professors who wanted him to experience a place other than a busy hospital in the city.  


relationship. 
stephanie and Jongsuk are friends who live in the same apartment complex. they first met when stephanie first moved in. he had helped her move all the larger/heavy furniture and belongings into her new home. they got to know each other more then. jongsuk met yoobi and youngkwang n the same day and the four of them have gotten really close since then.
when stephanie first came to the hospital, she saw jongsuk. at first, she thought that he was the same as her; an intern. kind of happy on the inside that she knew someone else than youngkwang (who was already a resident at that time) she talked to him in a way that people would midunderstand as her being rude to him. but it turns out that he was one of the head surgeons from the thoracic gastrointestinal branch who was going to be taking a couple of interns under him. and it turns out that she was one of them. 
shocked to find out who he really was, stephanie tried to avoid him at all costs, but then it turns out that he wsan't too willing to do so. they get along fine now, but he's always the one to and tell her what to do since he knows she can't do anything about it because he's the superior within their hospital relationship.
