It's basically a lovestory, set in Sweden, because I live here and I know this country, traditions, culture and milieu better than any other :)
It's a story about my teens, my friends' teens, how our life was like and how teenlife is in Sweden as a general :)
But also a story about a guy from a background that doesn't give space for being different in regards of uality, falling in love with another boy.
I've tried to make this story deeper than the regular Fangirl-stuff, intertwining serious undertones with romance and longing.
To show a culture clash and very different opinions on what kind of love is okay and which is not.
The background story of Elias' parents is a true one, horrible accounts of life in a country ruled by strict religious dictatorship and persecution,
the story of a woman I know, and her family, who's been kind enough to let me interview her for hours and hours, building a solid setting.
(The actual characters of Elias' parents is made up though.)

Elias and his story has been boiling and forming in my head for many years, the first thoughts of him and Alex, formed about six years ago
and my mind created him and his world and the people around him, little by little. I started writing chapters in Swedish and used his story as a background
for my admittance samples for Comic Arts School, making a short comic about Elias.
When I started writing my Love Sick Fanfics here on AFF, I decided to write a prologue about Elias and see if people were interested in knowing more,
and some people gave me great feedback and were interested in reading about a culture that they know nothing about.
So I started revising, rewriting and translating the chapters I had and so far I have gotten three of them out except for the prologue, but this will be a
full lenght novel.
The first chapters are slower and are meant to set the frame for what I want to tell, but now when that is done, the story will start unraveling :)
