The Misfits“Damn it, keep still!” Lay growled as D.O's body twitched again. The werewolf had lost so much blood that the bed sheets were soaked with his blood. It was hard for the Vampires to handle their hunger when the scent of what they desired so much was so overwhelming. They weren't out to eat from their friend though, that's why they pulled themselves together. “Where is the ing bed?”
Lay sounded exasperated and slightly stressed, and the presence of the hunters didn't make it any better. For years they had been able to keep D.O's true self as a secret and now that the hunters knew of it worried him a bit. The door suddenly opened, and Chanyeol heaved in another bed, while Lay carried D.O. “Bullet... back.” D.O. ached and the healer cursed. “Damn you, you could have told me that earlier, couldn't you?”
Not caring about the wound over his heart, Lay laid D.O. on his stomach. His friend's back looked like a scrap board; the skin was torn by the bullets, loose, and the edges of the wounds blueish-green. “Where... there,” the skin was loose at some parts, and some of the wounds were so strangely shaped that he hadn't seen the wound at first. The bullet had drilled itself deep into the flesh, and Lay cursed out loud.
They had no surgery tools in the basement they were in now, and the healer took a deep breath. “D.O, this is going to hurt,” he warned, but D.O. only nodded, prepared for the pain. Kai threw Lay a knife; D.O. drew a sharp breath as Lay cut the wound even more open. The bullet was stuck deep in the flesh, and Kai gave Lay another knife. “Next time you tell me when something like this is on your back, understand?” Lay growled, and D.O. nodded.
“Understand,” the werewolf's voice was barely audible and sweat ran down his face. “Damn it, Lay! What are you doing at my back? Trying to kill me?!” D.O. suddenly cried out as Lay accidentally stabbed him. “Stay still,” Lay whispered. It was quite hard to get the bullet out of the wound with the thin tip of the blades, but in the end, he managed to get it out.
The rest was an easy play for Lay; it wasn't hard to remove the small silver splinters and to heal the wounds on his back. “Up you go.” He managed to heave the werewolf around and heal the wound over his heart. Lay also incited D.O's circulation to work faster a bit and the blood production. Unlike Kai or Luhan, D.O. couldn't drink blood to balance out his blood loss.
“Are you done perforating and torturing me?” D.O. growled and wiped his face. As he wanted to sit up, Lay pushed him back into the bed. “Don't even think about it. Even though your wounds are all healed now, don't think that you can jump around with your tail high.” A growl came over D.O's lips at the reference, but he didn't try to sit up again. “What happened?”
Kai's face darkened, but D.O. couldn't see his expression. “We got busted. Changmin's so-called friend sold us out to the hunters. When we got there, the hunters were waiting for us, each of them carrying a load of silver. We have to
