A Talk With Jongin
You're the Choice I Won't RegretEven after a fortnight, Sehun still seemed to be bothered by something. Sunhee had a presumption of what it could be but she was hoping badly that she was wrong; that there was something else.
She put her camera down to look outside the window of her studio and watch Sehun leave the store downstairs. She smiled sadly while wondering how long Sehun would have kept quiet about it if Sunhee hadn’t noticed anything.
But she did. All the time she spends thinking - about herself, her life and Sehun - makes her a bit more perceptive about her surroundings, so of course she would notice it if something was bothering her boyfriend.
She also knew that the only other likely person to notice it when something bothers her lover was downstairs right now, keeping an eye on the store while Sehun was out.
Sunhee dragged herself away from the window when Sehun’s profile disappeared into the crowd of people. She headed downstairs to the shop level. There she saw Jongin with his phone in his hands, he was most likely texting Sora. He blinked in confusion once he noticed her sudden presence. Jongin quickly head over to her with a hesitant look on his face.
‘’Sunhee, are you okay? Sehun’s gone out for a bit. Is there anything you need?’’
She tried to hold back a smile. There was actually a time when things weren’t awkward between them like now. They used to be pretty close since high school, but things had changed and so had Jongin and Sunhee’s friendship. Sunhee knew that Jongin was worried Sehun didn’t stay with her because he wanted to out of free will but because he was stubborn and wanted to see things through out of obligation.
Since Sehun always denied that, Sunhee hadn’t thought of it that way but recently she was wondering whether Jongin could be a bit right.
‘’I wanted to talk to you. Got a minute?’’ she asked as she leaned against the counter.
Jongin briefly looked around the store to see that there weren’t any customers at the moment and nodded, ‘’Sure. What’s up?’’
"It’s Sehun,’’ Sunhee said in a soft voice, ‘’Something has been bothering him lately."
Jongin looked startled at her answer but then frowned, "And why are you coming to me with this? You never seemed to have any trouble dealing with your problems on your own before.’’
The younger girl looked up challengingly, ‘’I am aware of the fact that you think Sehun only stays with me because he feels obligated or something like that.’’ she stated dryly and noticed that Jongin flinched. She ignored it since she didn’t have time to dance around words with Jongin. Sehun could be back any moment now, ‘’I want to know why you would think that. Sehun always ignores me whenever I ask him about it.’’ she said.
"Why do you want to know that?" Jongin asked warily.
"It’s because I'm wondering whether he's really happy being in a relationship with me." she admitted, "I’
