Foreword
Author's Note:
For anyone on the hunt for Sehun, or Tao, I recommend you check this fic out lol.
I wrote QoR when I was deprived of Sehun and good writing. QoR guarantees Sehun. Good writing... I'll go ahead and say I delivered yo! I'm very pleased with this. This story boxes everything I was looking to find on AFF but couldn't get.
My requirements weren't that picky: Sehun not in high school. Sehun not a bully. Sehun a sassy CEO. Sehun in a romance fic where I didn't want to wring the OC's neck because she was unrealistically cheerful. Sehun in writing that rips my heart right out of my ribcage, an evoking atypical kind of fiction.
Why does no one fund my requirements?! T.T
So I wrote it myself; to myself, from myself, and will probably read it when I need a good Sehun fic.
Tao is here too btw. He's not in the poster (because I couldn't fit him in) but he is a main character and is as devious, dastardly, and deliciously devilish as you might expect <3 Lmao he's got this generic character in all my Tao fics. I love penciling him this way. Go figure!

Prologue
She ran as fast as she could across the dull marble floor painted with dust, heels clucking in deranged harmonics. Their sound was deaf to her ears.
Each thought she'd had disintegrated like tendrils of smoke until only embers remained, charred fresh but withered like a crisp autumn leaf.
She reached a barricade, a door. Fumbling with the handle she found it locked. Choking panic coursed through her. Tantalized with dread, she pressed her sleeve against her nose. A ripple of coughing followed making her bite her lip. She felt the gas seep sinisterly.
A wail escaped her. She shook her head and tried the door again, turning the knob with shaky fingers.
Nothing.
A shriek of peril reverberated through her, and as if she were a mad woman began pounding on the door with as much might as she could muster.
The door racketed morbidly. It didn't budge. She continued to batter her fist. The ghosts of torture were visible through peeling, gashed skin.
"S-Sehun oppa," she mumbled a name she remembered.
Barking. It made her quiver. Dogs were approaching. Her scent fresh to them, her blood of their teeth.
Her breath came ragged. She walloped the door with her shoulders. Dizzying urgency screamed at her.
"Oppa," she cried as if he could hear her whim.
Her lids heavied with drugged sleep. Desperately she fought to stay awake.
Howling made her scratch the door as if she may dig through the wood and crawl to safety. Tremors gushed through her body.
"Oppa please-- please save me."
She heard a roar. An angry flush bellowed from afar and swallowed everything it touched upon. Her screams were muted by the cackling fire.
A house engulfed in flames. A car waited until nothing remained. A phone call took place. And then the car drove away...
