The Dragon and The Phoenix
Description
I had never fallen for anyone until I met her.
I gave her a handmade dragon on her 22nd birthday as a symbol of my love, devotion, and the pure strength she has giving me since the first day we met.
And I was shock when on my 25th birthday she gave me a handmade phoenix, she said that it symbolize the joy I been giving her since the first day, the luck of having me and her loyalty.
I was so happy that I was certain that she was the one for me, the one to bare my children, my only companion, my true love.
My mother told me the legend of the dragon and the phoenix and their symbolism.
She told me tha dragon and phoenix were the perfect couple. That the Dragon was known as the "yang" while Phoenix was known as the "yin", and that they complement each other in creating yin-yang balance, that they were the symbol of everlasting love, go through the toughest and calmest moments of their life together, they would ensure luck, outstanding achievement in life and great fortune and prosperity with many filial offsprings.
When she said that to me, I smiled.
I made my phoenix into a necklace so I could have with me every moment of every day, she did her dragon as well.
And now our friends call us The Dragon and The Phoenix.
