Description
a royal engagement
Forget William and Catherine: there's a new generation of princes and princesses in the world, and the press is all over these young, attractive royals. Behind the beautiful tiaras and dazzling smiles, these young royals have their own fair share of love, lust, and betrayal -- perhaps, they get it even worse than the common people.
In their race for their country's glory and their own power, there will always be lurking eyes to see their every move: servants, subjects, and everyone in between. They're the elite, the y, the mysterious, and everyone wants to know about them. While the best man may or may not be the one to reach the throne, the real question is this:
Is the better monarch loved, or feared?

all information below is meant to help you play royal characters to the best of your ability. Neglecting the information or rules will result in a strike. Three strikes will result in banishment from the kingdoms.
I. about royalty
01. Princes and princesses of the same country are brothers and sisters. Counts and countesses of the same country are brothers and sisters. Princes/princesses and counts/countesses of the same country are cousins.
02. Each country has one emperor and one empress, who are the princes and princesses' parents. They are married to each other. Each country also has dukes and duchesses, who are the brothers and sisters of the monarch and the parents of the counts and countesses. They don't have to be married to each other. Emporers, empresses, dukes, and duchesses must be older than 35.
03. Royals all know each other, as they've more or less grown up together. They may have opinions of each other, positive or negative, prior to their "meeting" in the roleplay.
04. Every royal under the age of 16 has a nanny, employed by the royal family, whether they like it or not.
06. Every prince/princess has two personal servants. Counts/countesses have one. They are called pages for men and handmaidens for women. These servants are sworn to the royal whom they serve, and may do favors from running to the store to delivering secret letters to a lover. These servants are other members of the roleplay, as assigned by the admins.
07. Other palace employees are sworn to the royal house, or the whole family, and not a specific person.
08. Royals do not have jobs, unless they're attending high school/university. Being royal is a job in itself.
09. Homouality is not unheard of, but still a bit frowned upon among royalty. Having children out of wedlock, too, is just as "bad". Proceed at your own risk.
10. Expect, as a royal, to be followed around by journalists and photographers. How you behave in front of them is up to you -- they won't know if that's your real personality or not.
11. While dating your family is frowned upon, dating royals from other countries or commoners from your country or somewhere else is perfectly acceptable. Age differences, no matter how large, and "side romances" are also perfectly fine.
II. about the roleplay
01. We are aware that some of these countries no longer have (or never had) monarchies, but that's what an alternate universe is for. Obviously, your character is not an idol.
02. There is a limit to the number of royals in each country. You may apply as a royal, a servant, or a commoner. Please see the listing of countries and headcount of jobs below the masterlist.
03. Second accounts are allowed after four weeks of activity, and with admin permission.
04. Relationships are allowed after both parties have been active for two weeks. All ualities are allowed.
05. Marriage and pregnancy is allowed. Mpreg is not allowed. Maximum number of children is four.
06. You are expected to be active. There will be activity checks, games, and other events to keep you busy in the kingdoms.
07. We want you to socialize with as many people as possible. We understand that not everyone can be friends with everyone, but we don't want to see facechasing or people only talking to one other person.
08. Your face claim does not have to be the same ethnicity as the country he/she comes from, as they could be of mixed blood or adopted into the royal family. You may also change his or her name, ethnicity, or age, if you need to do so.
09. Asian and international faces are allowed. Idols, singers, actors, models, etc are accepted.
10. Add all of the admins upon joining. We will add you to the groups. Do not add anyone else until you are welcomed in the main group. Set your alternate name to "crown (character name)".
IiI. ABOUT posts and activity
01. This is a literate roleplay. That means that you should write in third or detailed first POV, and keep one-liners to an absolute minimum. If you like, you may use one-liners and emoji when updating a made-up social media account that your character has or in the confessions/ooc groups, but emoji will not be allowed anywhere else.
02. Inform all admins if you're leaving or going on hiatus. Comment on the main thread (here) if you're locked out of your account. Paxxword is the name of a Disney princess.
03. OOC drama won't be tolerated, but IC or plotted drama is more than welcome.
04. As a semi- roleplay, is allowed anywhere, but it is not the main focus of the roleplay itself. Please refrain from posting ographic photos, gifs, or videos in the groups.
05. Do your part in making everyone feel welcome!
