CHAPTER 8

"Oppa"

*HyunMi's POV*

      7:50 PM... Same day...

      "Oh miss! We would like to order now!" one customer called. I approached her with a smile on my face. Even I'm already tired, I need to show them a wonderful smile. And it was easy for me to put on a smile 'cause my day is really wonderful. Kekek. After taking their orders my wristwatch beeped again. Yess! Time to go home!!! YAY~!

      It's hard being a part-time waitress. Especially during rush nights, like tonight. Even there are regular workers here, as a part-time I need to be aware as well in taking orders and when more people come in. It's really tiring, but in a way it's quite fun.

      "Annyeong~ Hwaiting~" I said goodbye to my co-workers. Some waved back, but most of them were to busy. I stepped outside, and like every other night, Taemin was already there waiting for me.

      "Annyeong~!" I said in a childish tone. I want to tell him my most wonderful day!

      "Ara. Arayo. You spoke with B1A4. The first one to talk to you was your bias "Jung Jinyoung" then, blah-blah blah-blah. " he said with no interest in his voice. I pouted and then smirked. Of course AnJi told them. It wouldn't be right to not tell them after ignoring them while we were spazzing.

      "Let's go?" I said, really wanting to go home already. While we walked down the street, I noticed it was cold... real cold. I shouldn't have wore this dress at this time. Grr~ It's freaking cold! I feel my teeth shattering a bit in my mouth. My hands turned into fists now.

      "Aaah~! Soo cold!!!" I gave up, almost sitting on the ground with my hands wrapped around me.

      "Where's your jacket? You know even if the night isn't this cold, you'll still be freezing with the kind of clothes your wearing!" he scolded.

      "Agh~ mianhae. It's just... This morning was just so warm... I didn't expect the night to be the oposite." I said rubbing my hands on my upper arms.

      Taemin took off the jacket he was wearing, and wrapped it around me. Then he helped me in getting up. This is the Taemin that I like... The "caring" one.

      "How 'bout you?" I worried

      "I'll be fine" he said. I feel guilty, so I stand close to him and put half of the jacket on his shoulders. He smiled. The smile that he never show to anyone else besides me. The smile now, and the smile when all of us are in school is very different. This smile is.... warm.

      "Taemin-ah... Why don't you smile like that everyday?" I asked

      "Wae?"

      "It's really warm to look at."

      He just chuckled. A different chuckle as well. Then, I remembered the topic we talked about during lunch when Taemin wasn't there. Omo! Are HyukJae and AnJi correct!? Does Taemin like me?!

      "Taemin-ah... Don't tell me that you've fallen for me that's why you only show those things when we're alone" I said, trying to make it sound like a joke. But I think it didn't. He looked at me with serious eyes. Omo. Trouble!

      "HAHA! WHAT!?" he suddenly laughed.

      "Oh, you don't?" I somehow get it why he laughed, it means the answer I was thinking is wrong. He doesn't like me. Whew~

      "Of course not! HAHA!" He put his arm around me. "The reason why I'm like this is because I want to show you my good side"

      "Jeongmal?"

      "Yeah... but there's another reason as well..." he turned serious again this time. "Uhmm... the truth is....

      "I don't like you"

      "I know that already" I think I cut him off

      "HAHA! I told you to let me finish!

      "I love as my little sister. A dongsaeng." he said with a big smile. It's really rare to see him smile like that.

      I slapped his shoulder, hard like the one in the afternoon.

      "Hey, What did I told you?" he warned.

      "Mianhae" I apologized quickly. "It's just... Don't be serious with me like that. It gave me goosebumps you know!"

      He just laughed. I think he can't get over my expression after he told him he loves me. May be I was like "O.O" at the same time like "O.o" [What's the difference? xD]

 

      "But you really do love me as your little sister?" I eagerly asked

      "Ne~"

      "Waeyo?"

      "Well, since I don't have any siblings, I thought you were a great choice."

      "Since when?"

      "Since I kicked those creepy guys' butts. You were really scared that time. I wasn't aware that I had come up to you that time. Then after that, your smile was just bright like a little innocent kid. But of course you're not that innocent as you think. Kekek." he teased

      I glared at him... but my happiness keeps bugging me. I gave him a big bear hug! I was really lucky to have him. He was my hero... Now, he's also my big brother!

      "Taemin-ah, since you're 4 month older than me... Can I call you 'oppa'?" I asked eagerly.

      "Ey, enough with the hug. People are staring" he pushed me away lightly. "With the oppa-thing... only when we're the only 2 together. Arasseo?"

      "Yay~~~~!!!" With his answer, I can tell that he really wants to have a dongsaeng.

 

      We arrived at my house. I handed his jacket back.

      "Oppa, gomawoyo!" I said. I'm still not used with the oppa thing. But still... I have an oppa!

      "No problem. Omo. Not used to be called 'oppa' " he said with disgust. I punched his tummy lightly. He chuckled at my response to his tone.

      "Kidding. Good night HyunMi-ah. Sweet dreams! Annyeong~"

      "Take Care Oppa!" I waved goodbye at him. He didn't looked but waved as well.
