CHAPTER 64

"I loved you?"

*HyunMi's POV*

 

A couple of weeks passed I already remembered how Jinyoung and I met, and the first weeks we've spend together. I remembered that he was my bias, and still is. I remembered how I got that big stitch on my foot. I remembered simple things between us by the pictures they took before. But it's been a week since we've hang out again, they're really busy with fan meetings and in promoting their new album. They've really grown up. HAHA. The way I just said that seems I'm older than them. Pssh. Let me just remind you, I'm younger than all of them.

"What!?" I asksed in surprise.

"The boys want you back. So they can still help you in remembering. They also miss you" SanJi unnie gladly told me. I was already excited and happy to hear that. It will be like before. Yay~

"Auntie, can I!?" I asked enthusiastically to Aunt MinLi.

"Of course" she nodded. I quickly went to my room and fixed my things. I missed living with them!

 

 

 

 

"Good thing Onew wasn't around when I moved out" I sighed after unpacking and fixing my things.

"Good thing you're here HyunMi" Channie smiled. "If you weren't here, I guess we'll still be tasting water during meals" he joked. I chuckled quietly and went out of the room with him.

"Thanks for helping me" I thanked while stretching my arms a bit.

"Sure thing" he winked. He stiffened and grabbed his tummy. "HyunMi-ah~ I'm hungry~" he whined.

"Omo, unnie said she'll be the one cooking dinner. So I didn't prepare anything" I answered honestly.

"Eotteokhe!? HYUNG~~~" he whined and dashed towards the other members. I laughed quietly at his childishness.

 

"HyunMi~" Jinyoung suddenly called. I looked at him and smiled. He smiled back and just made my heart go running faster than ever. He walked towards me and started pulling me outside.

"Kaja" he said sweetly and intertwined our hands together. I wanted to protest but it felt nice... really nice. Ever since I lost my memory of him, I notice that he keeps on holding my hand and I never complain.

"Where are we going?" I tilted my head as we were walking outside, still hands tangled together.

"If we're going to make you remember the things, and I mean the real things between you and me, might as well start with the sad parts" he smiled. Real things?

"Real things?" I asked, confused. He simply nodded while smiling.

"Yah, why are you still smiling if you're going to make me remember some bad times?" I scolded a little.

"Oh, mianhae." he apologized and quickly washed the smile away. The way he acted was so cute. I just want to pinch his cheeks~

 

I pulled him to a stop and did what I wanted to do. I turned him around to face me completely, and I reached for his cheeks. I softly pinched his cheeks with a smile on my face. Wow, he's got such great skin.

Suddenly, images flickered inside my head. It was like I was watching a movie inside my head. I started hearing echoing laughter, mine and... someone else's.

He chased me down a small hill with his hands ready to tickle me. His face was still a blur. I started running faster, finding that he's catching up. He caught me by the waist and started tickling me. I laughed uncontrollably and he chuckled. I felt really happy being with him... like when I am with Jinyoung...

 

"HyunMi-ah?" Jinyoung shook me lightly. Coming back to my senses, I blinked my eyes and looked at him. "Did you remember something?" he asked, observing my behavior a while ago. I nodded and furrowed my eyebrows.

"I was with someone. He chased me down a small hill after pinching his cheeks hard. He caught me and started tickling me as his sweet revenge. His laugh was..." I trailed off when I realized I was smiling like a dork. I looked at Jinyoung and noticed he was holding in his smile.

"Wae?" I asked. "Nothing" he answered and intertwined our hands again.

"Yah, waeyo?" I stubbornly asked, bumping him playfully away from me.

"Nothing" he laughed. His laugh caught me off guard. It was very identical to sweet laugh I just remembered.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" he simpered.

"Jinyoung-ssi, was it you who I remembered?" I asked, still confused. He smiled amusingly.

"Maybe~" he sang. "Well, I am the only person you don't recall. So it might be me" he played.

"Yah, I'm serious!" I pouted. "May be it's not only you. May be I've forgotten someone else too" I reasoned.

"Arasseo. Arasseo" he laughed again. My heart beated continuously fast after hearing his laugh again.

 

 

"We're here!" he announced. I looked at our location, realizing I've been staring at Jinyoung the whole walk. We were at the park. To be exact, we were by the swings. I actually felt something weird. My heart was beating slower this time, feeling a bit nervous. I walked around with Jinyoung. I lightly touched the rope of one of the swings with my free hand. I paused and slid my hand from Jinyoung. I carefully sat on the swing and another woosh came in my mind. Another memory... but clearer than a while ago.

Sitting at this very swing, I was crying and holding on to the swing tightly. Crying my eyes out, "Nabbeun neo. NABBEUN NEO!" I yelled angrily. My heart was sinking away. My tears wouldn't stop from falling out of my eyes. What's happening? I suddenly notice someone standing in front of me. "You shouldn't rush things" the person said. I slowly lifted my head and looked at his face. His hair was charmingly dark brown. Sharp, beautiful eyes looking down at me. Lips, softer than rose petals as I observe it. I couldn't stop admiring him. "Him" was.... Jung Jinyoung.

 

I quickly shook my head side to side. So, he's the mistery guy? Well, he was the only suspect. He's the one who gave me the necklace and bear... but why?

"Wae?" he asked. I haven't notice that he was already sitting on the sing next to mine. He was gently swinging with the breeze.

"N-nothing" I stuttered.

"You were crying here. Alone. Do you remember?" he suddenly asked. I looked away and slightly nodded.

"I was crying... then you told me to not rush things" I added quietly. He looked at me with stunned eyes.

"You remembered?" he breathed. I nodded.

"I actually saw your face this time Jinyoung" I smiled at him, feeling really happy that I've actually remembered him. Mostly, they would tell me that Jinyoung was present in that memory and something similar to that. It was my first time to recognize him in my memories. This is progress! :D

 

"Stand up" he ordered. I tilted my head and looked at him.

"Waeyo?" I questioned. He pointed somewhere to the north west of where we were facing.

"Walk over there, when I say 'stop' stop. Then try to remember." he ordered nicely. I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Trust me. It might hurt... But trust me" he smiled sincerely. I hesitantly stood up and slowly walked to the direction he was pointing. I frequently look back at him, making sure he won't run and make me chase him like what Baro does to me.

"STOP!" he abruptly yelled from afar. I quickly stopped and checked the surrounding.

 

There was a couple at this spot. The guy was back hugging the girl, how sweet~

"I... I don't want to end this-- us." Jinyoung suddenly cried. He was... the guy hugging someone. "You're the only girl I love now. No other. You're the girl who brings happiness in my life. I'm really really really sorry for causing you so much pain. I really regret everything. Please don't misunderstand what Yuri and I have--"

"But you already said that you felt something..." I muttered. Wait, what's going on!? Why is he hugging me!? Wait... Did he just told me... he loves me? I'm completely lost.

"I was wrong. I don't and never had feelings for her. When Channie asked me that question, I was thinking of you. When we kissed, I was thinking of you. You're the only one I've been thinking. You're the only one I want to be with. The only girl I love." he cried and hugged me more tightly.

 

 

I clenched on to the star pendant hanging around my neck with eyes closed tightly. More images ran inside my head, playing the things happened way before that scene. I felt my brain thumping hard inside. I gasped and panted. The stitch on my head was hurting again. I opened my eyes and watched the sunset.

"He... He loves me?" I whispered to myself. I was surprisingly wrapped in someones arms from the back. I jumped a little, surprised by the touch. I felt someone's head near mine, and a chin on my shoulder.

"I sure do..." he answered. I was startled and gasped. I was about to turn around and look at Jinyoung, but he quickly squeezed me tightly telling me not to. I felt him rest his head on the back of my shoulder.

"Remember anything else?" he quietly whispered. Longer and longer as I stood motionless in his embrace, the more I didn't want to break it. I was completely dazed with everything happening right now. This isn't a dream, it's all true. A reality.

 

"What... what did we fight about?" I asked curiously after the long silence. "All I remember is it's something about Yuri..." I added. I didn't quiet remember the things he said in my memory. He was mumbling and crying at the same time as he delivered those sweet words.

"Try to remember..." he faintly suggested.

"I can't" I winced. "I feel really dizzy after that"

"Jinjja?" he worried and shot his head up to look at me. I slightly nodded. "Do you want to get on my back?" he offered. I quickly shook and denied.

"A-ani. Let's just go back" I said. We started to go back to the dorm, with him supporting me at both sides with his hands. All that thinking made my vision spin. -.-

 

 

 

A couple of days...

 

"We fought over something... the he told me he loves me... does that mean... I loved him too?" I thought over and over again after remembering that emotional memory.

"Aaaagh!" I grunted and messed my hair up. Instead of concentrating on my homework, I was thinking of things that were really far from the topic!

"Hey~" Channie peeked.

"Oh, hey" I smiled horribly

"What's wrong?" he chuckled as he saw my expression

"It's just--" I paused and sighed. "It's Jinyoung..." I muttered.

"What about him?" he asked curiously and sat on my desk, nearly sitting on my homework.

"Last week, I remembered something when we were at the park." I told him.

"Which one? During christmas? Or the fight?" he asked.

"Christmas?" I repeated.

"Yeah. You went together to the park last Christmas Eve" he nodded.

"I don't remember that... yet" I pointed with my pen.

"Oh, so it's the latter?" he asked. I nodded. "What about it?" he asked optimistically.

"He told me that he loves me, and we were both crying" I said.

"And?" he questioned, asking what my point was.

"Do I... Love him too?" I asked curiously. "I mean, I know he's my bias and I like him... but do I really love him?" I added, mixed emotions rising. He looked away from me and showed a thinking expression.

 

"Molla" he answered.

"What? You should know, I told you everything" I pointed. He laughed and looked at me with warm eyes.

"I can't tell what you fell for him... Simply because it's your heart. Your feelings." he explained. I listened carefully to every word he was saying. "So what if you did love him before? Do still you love him now, now that you've forgotten him? What I'm saying is... If you do love him, you'll surely want to remember him and you'll be feeling all relaxed around him." he smiled. I was silent for a while, looking at my homework. Yep, I'm just looking at it.

"Did you understand what I just said?" he asked. "Cause honestly.. I didn't." he laughed. I chuckled and nodded slowly.

"I guess so." I told him honestly. "But... I like someone else." I whispered. I caught his surprise expression before plastering a poker face.

"Ji-jinjja? Nugu?" he asked with smile.

"T-Taemin oppa" I confessed and lowered my head. His brows shot up when he heard my answer.

"Uhmm... You don't remember what happened between the two of you?" he curiously asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked, puzzled. He pursed his lips, hesitating to tell me

"What is it?" I shook his arm impatiently.

"At the school rooftop?" that's the only thing he said. I thought for a bit...

"No" I answered unsurely. He looked at me with another surprised expression. He silently walked away and went outside. I decided to follow him and see what he's going to do.

 

He took his phone and dialed a number.

"Who are you calling?" I asked as I revealed myself in front of him.

"Taemin" he simply answered. "Oh, Taemin-ssi" he answered when Taemin picked up. "Wait, I'll put you on speaker." Channie said and did so and placed his phone on the table.

"Yoboseyo." Channie spoke up.

"What's wrong?" Taemin asked cautiously.

"HyunMi doesn't remember what happened between the two of you at the school rooftop" Channie nonchalantly answered.

"H-how did you know that!?" Taemin asked in embarrassment. Kyeopta~

"I tell him everything" I answered.

"O-oh..." he responded. "Who's that?" Channie and I heard someone ask in the background.

"None of your bus--" he suddenly cut off his sentence. After a few seconds, he sighed.

"Hey, uhmm. You're on speaker too." Taemin told us.

"Yoboseyo?" Key's voice appeared.

"Oppa!" I squealed. "HyunMi-Mi~" he chimed.

"HyunMi-Mi?" Channie and Taemin chuckled in chorus.

"Shikkeuro"  Key and I hissed. "So what's up?" Key asked.

"Nothing much~" I answered blissfully.

"OOOKAAAY! Back to the situation..." Taemin interrupted before we could start chatting with one another. "Gongchan-ssi, she doesn't remember that part?" he asked.

"Aniyo" he answered.

"How about when I... er... confessed to her?" Taemin asked shyly.

"I... remember that." I blushed. There was an awkward silence after.

 

"HyunMi, after dance workshop meet me at the highschool building's rooftop. Arasseo?" he told me seriously

"Aras--" I answered.

"Hey diva! Where are my shoes!?" I heard Jonghyun-ssi complain in the background. "How many times do I have to tell you, DON'T TOUCH MY STUFF!" he roared.

"Who you calling DIVA!?" Key exploded.

"Eomma, your temperature" I joked.

"Aish, HyunMi I think I'm getting early wrinkles here. That clown is worse than you!" he hissed.

"Yah!" I exclaimed.

"Kidding--"

"Kim Kibum!!!" Jjong exclaimed angrier this time.

"You're so dead." Key hissed and there was a rucus in the background.

"Uh... What's happening?" Channie awkwardly asked.

"Key just threw a shoe at Jjong. Gotta go" Taemin said and quickly hang up.

 

"What's up with that?" Channie asked cluelessly

"You don't want to see Key-oppa mad." I warned. "You're so gonna die."
