"Our Last Date... Our Last Kiss... For Now"

[Part I]

*HyunMi's POV*

 

A smile formed on my face as I looked at our group photo wearing our togas last graduation day. I quietly chuckled as I looked at Hyukjae's comedic smile. I pressed on the next button on my camera, it displayed a picture of me and Jinyoung after the graduation ceremony. He was hugging me by the waist, and our face close to each other as we smiled at the camera. I sighed sadly, knowing that I'll miss him so much when I leave tomorrow afternoon.

 

"That's the last time that I was able to see him.. The next will be 4 or 5 years after..." I thought, since yesterday I bonded with AnJi and the others the whole day. He can't send me off to the airport because he has an important interview that he cannot miss.

"HyunMi, it's late" Aunt MinLi suddenly told me as she peeked inside my room. "Get some sleep"

I nodded and turned off my camera before laying down.

"Yah!" I heard Onew yell outside. "Don't sleep! I beg you! HyunMi~~"

My elbows supported my weight as I raised my upper body. I wondered why he doesn't want me to sleep, and glanced at my alarm clock.

"What the? It's only 7:30?" I muttered. I got off of bed and walked outside. I saw Auntie scolding and having a silent arguement with Onew.

 

"BUT EOMMA!" Onew whined.

"Yah. Give the boy a break. He wants to make it up for your cousin. I think he likes her" Auntie whispered and chuckled slyly.

"Who are they talking about?" I wondered.

"Eomma! Don't you know that--" Onew stopped lecturing his own mother when he gazed up to my direction. "HyunMi!" he happily exclaimed and jumped in front of me. He held my hands and spun me around a few times.

"Oppa!" I semi-shouted when I started feeling dizzy.

"Yah. Let's not sleep tonight. Ne!?" he pleaded.

"O-okay?" I uncertainly replied. After hearing my not-so-sure answer, Auntie rushed at us and whacked Onew's head. It wasn't that hard, but Onew exaggerated by stumbling in front of me.

"She needs sleep Lee Jinki, you clearly needed it too" she scold and pointed at his large eyebags.

"But... Auntie... It's still early" I reasoned while rubbing my nape. "Plus my flight is in the afternoon"

"HA!" Onew blurted and made his in-your-face expression.

"Aish. Still. Go inside and force yourself to have good early sleep." she firmly ordered.

"But--" I was about to reason again, but she quickly shoved me back inside my room.

"What was that all about?" I mumbled and sat in the middle of my bed with crossed legs.

 

 

*beep beep!* I heard my phone beeped. I reached for it and read the message.

 

      From: 진영 (Jinyoung)

Tomorrow is a big day HyunMi. Have a good night sleep, arasseo? Sweet dreams my love. ᄏᄏᄏ ^^ I'll miss you :(

 

      To: 진영

It's still early though. We can still talk if you're not busy. :) I'll miss you more though. :((

 

      From: 진영

Aww... Don't be sad. We'll still see each other when you come back. And when you do... I'll ask for your hand and make you mine. :"> You need to sleep NOW. Please? :) If you don't sleep now, you'll regret it. ;D

 

      To: 진영

Yah! You're too sweet. ᄏᄏᄏ I'm already yours, you know? ;) Why would I regret it? o.o

 

 

"Why do they want me to sleep early?" I wondered. I waited for his reply for some minutes, but he didn't answered.

"Is he the one Auntie's been talking about a while ago?" I continued talking to myself. "Naah~ That's impossible... But what if? Hmmm..." *beep beep*

 

 

      From: 진영

Asleep? :)) ♥

 

      To: 진영

Not yet... Yah, Jinyoungie... why would I regret it? Answer me.

 

      From: 진영

Just sleep JAGIYA ^^... and when you wake up you'll know. ;) Good night then. I love you~ ♥

 

      To: 진영

Yah! Who are you calling "jagiya"!? HAHA... Arasseo... Good Night. I love you too~~~ *kiss ♥*

 

 

"Yah, why are you smiling like an idiot?" Onew suddenly asked. I jumped and looked at him in surprise

"Wha-what do you want?" I stummered.

"Just want to tell you... DON'T SLEEP" his eyes enlargen in warning.

"Sorry, but I'm sleeping" I stuck my tongue out and covered myself with my blanky.

"YAH--"

"Lee Jinki! Let her sleep!" Auntie shouted from outside before I could have another nagging session with him. As soon as he closed the door, I read Jinyoung's messages again. I chuckled at his cheesy-ness. I exited to my wallpaper, that was me and Jinyoung together, and pecked it lightly before shutting my eyes.

 

Minutes passed, I noticed myself struggling and moving a lot. I pursed my eyes tighter and forced myself some more.

"WAAAH~" I exploded and kicked my feet up. "I can't sleep~" I pouted in frustration. I sat up and glanced at my clock. 8:02 PM. It's really early for me, I usually sleep around 11 and 12 in the evening.

*beep beep!*

 

 

      From: 진영

Can't sleep Jagiya? :)

 

      To: 진영

Omo. How did you know? O.O and I'm not your jagiya. :P

 

 

      From: 진영

Had a feeling. ;) Hehehe. Relax yourself and don't think of anything else... but me. Kidding. Don't force yourself, just let it come to you. Ara? Good night again Jagiya. *sweet kiss*

 

 

Another goofy smile plastered on my face as I read his dorky, yet sweet, message. I took his advice and laid down, relaxing myself. When I felt relaxed, I started hearing soft music in my mind. It soothed my frustrated self, and I finally slowly felt drifting away.

*Jinyoung's POV*

 

 

      From: 민리 씨 (MinLi-ssi)

She's asleep now. :)

 

      To: 민리 씨

Arasseoyo. Gomawo MinLi-ssi :)

 

 

I shoved my phone back in my pocket. I smiled in victory and started packing the things I needed for later.

"Hyung, are you done packing for your romantic midnight picnic?" Channie asked happily.

I shook, "Ani, I just started."

"Hyung" Baro joined in. "If I was a girl, my ideal type would be someone like you." he joked with a serious tone. Sandeul and I laughed loudly.

"Jinjja?" I chuckled. "Wae?"

"Well~ you're really romantic, loving, caring, sensitive, charismatic, and talented." Baro enumerated seriously

"Well, not really" I smiled. "Yes, you are" Shinwoo hyung agreed with him.

"Jinjja?" I asked, my tone is a bit serious this time. They nodded together.

"Geurae? Well, we all have our own way to impress the person we love right?" I smiled innocently.

"Yah, you're so cheesy too oppa" Baro joked with a girly voice.

"Too cheesy that it's already corny" Sandeul protested.

"Yah!" I chuckled and focused more on packing.

 

10:40 PM

"Noona, sorry for making you drive us this late" I apologized early when Noona arrived.

"Ani, gwaenchana. It's her last day, I understand" she winked.

"Gomawo" I smiled brightly. "Shall we?" she gestured. I nodded and lifted the picnic basket and slung my guitar behind.

"Good luck Hyung~" Sandeul cheered. I smiled and left with noona.

 

11:30 PM

We finally arrived at HyunMi's house. It's my first time to see where she and her Aunt lives. It took us a while to arrive since we searched for a bakery that makes the delicious strawberry shortcakes.

*knock knock knock*

As I knocked on the door, I already heard footsteps coming our way.

"Oh, Jinyoung-ssi, SanJi-ah. Annyeong~" MinLi-ssi greeted with a smile. I bowed with respect and Noona just gave her a little wave.

"I guess I don't need to rush HyunMi to dress up" she chuckled, eyeing the pajamas I was wearing.

I chuckled shyly and nodded. This is my first time talking to her, I feel a bit shy and nervous.

"I'll just wake her up" she smiled and went inside with the door open.

"Does she know that you and HyunMi have something going on?" Noona asked as soon as her friend was out of sight.

"Ani. I just told her that due to my busy schedule I want to make it up for her tonight." I answered. She nodded with understanding.

"Auntie~~~" I heard HyunMi whine. Kekek. Kyeopta~ ^^

"Aigoo~ Bballi!" MinLi-ssi ordered and started pulling her out gently.

"Auntie! It's--" she paused and looked at us. She was still half-asleep. I smiled whole-heartedly. "Ji-Jinyoungie, what are you doing here?!" she semi-yelled in surprise. I just kept on smiling at her, and scanned her from head-to-toe. She suddenly blushed and hid behind MinLi-ssi's back.

"W-why are you here Jinyoung-ssi?" she asked, fully awake and surprised now. She's really cute on those pajamas

"Kaja?" I just asked and gestured. She scanned my attire well, and hers next.

"On our pajamas?" she asked, finding it ridiculous.

"Ne" I nodded and answered seriously.

"Wae?" she continued asking some more questions.

"Let's go~~~" I cooed as I pulled her away from her aunt to stand beside me outside.

"Sorry for disturbing you at this hour, I'll be borrowing HyunMi first" I formally told MinLi-ssi

"Arasseo. Have fun" she smiled. I bowed my goodbye and dragged HyunMi towards the car.

 

I opened the door for her, but she stopped and crossed her arms in front of her chest. Observing me, she raised an eyebrow. I looked at her with an innocent, questioning expression.

"What have you planned this time Jung Jinyoung?" she asked with an amused tone.

"It's... a secret." I smiled and gestured for her to go inside. She did so, and entered the vehicle. I ran to the other side and sat at the back with her.

"Noona, mianhae if you look like a driver now." I laughed as soon as I noticed it. HyunMi chuckled as well.

"Whatever. Be thankful I did this for you" she rolled her eyes then chuckled.

"Arasseo. Gomawo~" I chimed. She started the engine and slowly started to drive away towards our destination.

 

As we ride in silence, I glanced at HyunMi who was sitting across from me and smiling to herself.

"Why are you smiling?" I curiously asked. She got surprised and quickly erased her beautiful smile.

"I wasn't smiling" she lied. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. I called her and signaled her to mover closer to me. She shook her head and stuck her tongue out at me. I pouted and gestured again. She just smiled and looked outside her window.

Aish, this girl...

 

I slowly and quietly scootched beside her. I waited for her to react, but she kept her eyes on the view outside. I mentally sighed, and gently slid my arm behind her waist to catch her attention. She moved a bit to make us both comfortable. I grinned widely like a fool and looked at her. Still not looking huh?

I slouched lower and rested my chin on her shoulder.

"Jinyoung," she finally spoke. "You're really.... unbelievable" she chuckled. I peeked over and looked at her expression. She was smiling happily again.

"Wae?" I asked curiously.

"Cause..." she paused. "I thought you were only romantic while on-screen's and in fanfictions. I never imagined that you ARE in real life" she looked at me and flashed my favorite smile of hers. I completely forgot that she was a Bana. I giggled when I remembered she was.

"Wae?" she was the one who asked me this time.

"I just forgot you were a Bana" I chuckled.

"I still am." she chimed a lovely laugh.

 

I smiled and wrapped my other arm around her, securing her in my arms. She gently held my hands and intertwined hers with mine. I buried my face on the side of her neck-- below her ear. I inhaled and smelled her aroma. She really smells wonderful~

I felt her stiffen a bit when I exhaled. A sly smile curved on my lips. I gazed up to her face and saw her pink-rose cheeks. I slowly closed my eyes and stayed in that position for some time. I kept on inhaling the wonderful fragrance as I breathed in. I slowly flicked my eyes open and stared at her long, beautiful, smooth, soft neck. I lightly kissed her neck and suddenly heard a quiet yelp from her. I hugged her tightly, telling her not to get surprised. I erected my head and planted another light kiss behind her ear. But I just couldn't help it, and kissed her neck again. I pulled my head away slowly, and she looked at me.

 

"What was that for?" she asked shyly. Her cheeks are rosy-red blush this time. I smiled at her cuteness and brushed her cheeks with my hand. I hugged her waist again and went back to my position before.

"I'll tell you later" I whispered making my warm breath travel her neck. I felt the chills that ran up her neck I chuckled at the reaction she had and just snuggled her.
