I looked at him with curious eyes. I waited for him to continue

 

"When we first met... Up to now... At this exact moment..." he spoke between long pauses. Looking into my eyes time to time then back to our hands

 

 

"I want to tell you how much I--"

*Jinyoung's POV*

 

"Annyeong-haseyo~" someone suddenly spoke and entered the room when I was about to blurt out what my heart had been hiding .

 

The hell!?!?!?!? Who could enter at this moment!?!?! Let that mood killer die. NOW. >.<

 

Yup, I'm pissed out. I was really looking forward for this moment for a long time, I know we just know each other for a month but still! Now, some mood killer shows up when I was about 3 words away from my confession.

I glanced out the door to see who that person was. It was Yuri. My jaw dropped for a second but I shut it quickly.

 

WTF!?!?!? YURI!?! What are you doing here at this hour!? Shit. No. Agh! This was suppose to be the night, nice timing Yuri. -___- Okay, calm down Jinyoung. It's still your day. Be happy you still have guests... Guests who just ruined your confession to the girl you love!!! Aisssh~

 

I looked at Yuri, mixed emotions running inside me. Hopefully they don't show in my face. Yuri's a nice girl when you get to spend time with her. I like her... as a friend and co-worker. Better show my happy side. But I couldn't help gazing at her with annoyance.

 

"Omo. Was I interrupting something?" Yuri asked, all innocent. Well, she actually is. She doesn't know that I have someone I like while we're doing the JinRi couple thing. Manager-hyungnim told me to not tell her cause it will ruin the agreement. Yes, Hyungnim knows. It was obvious he said. He respect my feelings towards HyunMi, but her just said I need to bear it for just... Oh, I don't know... 6 months!

 

Calm down~ -.-

 

(Just imagine Jinyoung is older than Yuri. And Yuri older than the other members, well except for CNU of course. :D)

"Yuri-ah?" I managed to spit out of my shock. I felt HyunMi's hands slipping away from mine. I didn't stop her.

"Oppa! Happy Birthday~~!!!" she went towards me and hugged me like a little kid. I noticed HyunMi from the corner of my eye, she slowly backed away from us, looking down.

Yuri cut the hug and presented me her gift in a childish way. Yeah, she's childish.

"Uhmm... Gomawo" I said as I took the gift from Yuri's hands. The boys and Noona suddenly went out of the Music room--located inside the practice room.

"Yah! Hyung! Why didn't you-- Omo! Yuri-noona!!!!" Baro started, bossy and irritated with the first thing he was saying, then all childish and cutie act when he saw Yuri. He ran towards Yuri's direction along with Sandeul.

"Dongsaeng! Haha! I missed you!" she said as they hugged.

 

I smiled at little, cooling down a bit. Then I remembered HyunMi. I looked back at her position but she was gone. I turned 360 degrees to let my eyes catch her. But she wasn't in the room. The others went to our position. Channie walked at my back and hold my shoulder

 

"You weren't able to tell her, were you?" he whispered, his voice was really serious.

I shook my head with disappointment.

He chuckled sarcastically

"Aaaah~ Noona~" he changed his mood when he was about to hug Yuri.

"Channie-ah~!!!" she hugged back

"Annyeong Yuri" hyung formally greeted her

"Annyeong Oppa!" she gave him a short hug.

I searched for HyunMi again, but I saw Noona looking out the door's  window. Omo, where is she? :(

 

"Uhmm... Excuse me for a moment Yuri" I politely told her and she nodded. I went towards Noona.

"Noona, where is she?" I asked her.

She turned around to look at me, "Oh, she just went upstairs" there was something in her voice that bothered me.

"Oh, arasseo" I said. I turned back, starting to walk towards the others when Noona grabbed on to my wrist. I turned around.

"Did you tell her?" she asked, her eyebrows furrowed.

I shook my head again. She looked over my shoulder, looking at Yuri I suppose

"Is she..." she trailed off with a questioning tone

"Ne, that's Yuri" I said with complete sadness in my voice.

 

Noona knew that I was going to confess today...

 

Flashback:

I was talking with JaeKyung-ssi when Noona suddenly approached me and whispered something

"Jinyoungie~ you're going to confess ne?" she sang happily. "The boys told me. Kekek. Good Luck! Fighting!"

I was shocked that she knew. And that the boys told her. I just looked at HyunMi, who was constantly looking at me as well, I was bracing myself for what will happen later. I knew I was ready and just flashed a smile at her. She blushed. Kekeke. Kyeopta!!!

End of Flashback. ^^

 

She also knew about the JinRi thing. She works in the company, of course she'll know.

I glanced up the staircase, she wasn't going down yet.

 

May be I should go up there and call her(?)

*HyunMi's POV*

 

I was really shocked when Yuri entered the room. I wasn't expecting her. Well, during the party, yes I was expecting her. But not at this hour. At that moment!

I sighed as I got the letter from my pocket. I looked at it, and sighed once more.

"I guess I won't be needing you anymore" I told my letter. Yeah, random.

"Who won't you be needing anymore?" someone asked in a husky voice. I dropped my letter and turned around. It was Jinyoung.

 

What's he doing here? -.-

 

"N-nothing" I stuttered

He slowly entered the room. My eyes wandered down the floor, searching for the letter. Aha! I saw it and stepped on it so Jinyoung wouldn't notice.

He was in front of me already. Sudden heat filled the room. Tension building up.

"HyunMi..." he started. "I was trying to say a while ago is that... I really l--"

"Hyungie~~!!! Yuri's looking for you!!!!" Baro shouted outside the room.

Jinyoung sighed, closed his eyes. His face was filled with annoyance

"Not again" he moaned. "Arasseo!" he yelled back at Baro, and looked back at me. All the annoyance in his face vanished.

"I was tryi--" he started again when Baro entered.

"Hyung! I told you Yuri-- Oh, uhmm... sorry." Baro said when he saw us talking.

"We should get going. She's looking for you" I told Jinyoung.

He was about to protest but sighed and nodded instead.

"Coming?" he asked me

"In a minute... I have... some... err... things to do" I said

"Arasseo. Bballi~" he said and went back.

A sigh escaped me. What's with people today, they've been creeping behind me all day! >.<

 

I grabbed the letter from the floor. It's all dirty now. Doesn't matter, I was about to throw it anyway. And yes I did. I threw it at my garbage basket. I sighed once more and decided to go back.

 

I looked through the door's window. I saw them sitting on the floor, laughing and giggling. Having a fun time.

Should I still go inside?

Channie saw me outside. He quickly stood up and opened the door, and peeked.

"HyunMi-ah, come in. Mosquitoes will bite you there" he said.

I quickly shook my head like a kid scared of something.

"Wae?" he stiffened

I just looked inside and looked at Yuri and Jinyoung, who were sitting beside each other. My heart completely sank just seeing them together. I'm really jealous. And I hate it. >.<

Channie looked at the direction I was looking, and understood.

"Arasseo. Are you sure?" he asked, his expression was bit worried

"Ne." I answered.

Channie nodded again and closed the door.

 

Aiissh~~ HyunMi~~ ._.

*Jinyoung's POV*

 

Channie suddenly stood up and went to door. He was talking to someone. I was trying to look through, hoping it's HyunMi. But I didn't see anything. He closed the door again with a sad expression when he came back.

"Wae?" Sandeul asked.

"Ani. It's Hyun..." he trailed off as he looked at Yuri. Right when he said Hyun, I knew that it was her. I stiffened.

"Hyun???" Yuri asked with such enthusiasm and curiosity.

"No one." he whispered

"Ya, where did she go? I told her to come here." I said. Yuri was surprise to see my reaction

"She... She's tired" Channie lied.

"The truth Channie" Shinwoo said. Channie isn't really a good liar. But he does keep secrets better.

"Well, she changed her mind" he said in a sad tone. My heart stopped beating for a moment. No. I want her here right now!

"Omo, Channie. Do you like her!?" Yuri said, can't keep away the excitement in her voice.

Channie chuckled and scratched the back of his head.

My eyes widened.

"Omo~~!!! Channie's growing up!" Yuri clasped her hands together.

Channie blushed. What is he doing, blushing!?!?!?!?

"Channie... can I talk with you privately?" I said through my teeth

I got up and dragged him into the Music Room, I shut the door closed.

"What do you mean you like her!?!??!" I asked furiously. I don't know why I'm mad. But I'm simply am. Good thing the Music room is sound proof.

"I didn't say I liked her. Yuri-noona did." he pointed out.

"Yeah, whatever. Then what's with the blushing!?" I asked again

"That was just good acting. I just wanted you to feel what she feels right now" he said then suddenly covered his mouth with his hands.

I was shocked with what he said. HyunMi was... jealous?

"Mwo?" I asked, to let him repeat.

Channie was about to open his mouth when someone opened the door.

"Oppa~ you haven't opened my present yet." Yuri pouted. Aish~ this girl! Always at the right timing. >.<

She turned to Channie, "Oh, Channie-ah. She's here~" she sang and winked.

"Mwo?" we both asked in unison

"HyunMi." she giggled. "She's really pretty and nice. She also has a beautiful smile. Nice pick Channie" she continued and pinched Channie's cheeks.

Channie "acted" all embarrass or something. Pssh~

"She's mine" I mumbled at Channie.

He smirked. Aish! This maknae, smirking. Grr.

 

Yup, I'm jealous of Channie. Well, who wouldn't be!? They're really close with each other. I can't just not think that Channie doesn't have a crush on HyunMi.

 

We went outside and saw HyunMi sitting beside Hyung.

*HyunMi's POV*

 

So I was dragged by Shinwoo oppa here. And he really put on some effort.

 

Flashback:

I was plainly sitting on the couch, watching TV when oppa entered. He was trying to drag me downstairs but I refused. I let my weight back down on the couch. But he still pulled me.

"I don't want to!" I screamed.

I was like a little child not wanting to go to a hospital for injections. I thought I was successful since I was sitting down on the couch again. But he suddenly carried me, bridal style, downstairs. I pouted like there's no tomorrow.

"Yah, just act like nothing's with them." Shinwoo told me while we're still outside the room

I continued pouting. He hissed at me and continued to drag me inside. I put on my fake attitude as soon as I saw Yuri.

"Oh, you must be the one that Channie likes" she smiled at me

"MWOH?" I asked, shocked.

"N-ne. This is the girl" Shinwoo covered my mouth and spoke.

Yuri bubbly skipped towards the Music Room. I pushed oppa's hand from my mouth

"What!?!?!" I whispered

"Yuri misunderstood when Channie sadly said that you weren't coming" he explained but I think it was a long story. "Just... play along" he said, frustrated.

End of Flashback

 

Inside the Music room was Jinyoung and Channie. Channie quickly looked at me and smiled.

"HyunMi-ah~" he sang and run towards me for a hug. Okay~? o.o

I looked at Jinyoung, he was... somewhat glaring at Channie.

"Aww~ how sweet~" Yuri said as she clasped her hands together. "Yah! Oppa! The gift" she began pouting

"Arasseo arasseo" Jinyoung smiled at her. My heart just completely stopped, my eyes filling with tears. Channie hugged tighter

"Hold it in" he whispered. And I did what he said.

 

Aish~ HyunMi! Why are you crying!? Don't get jealous! You don't have the right! You're not even his... girlfriend.

 

And that thought hurts. I really wanted to cry. Stupid brain, bursting nonsense things! T.T

Jinyoung opened her gift and everyone gasped, including me. Channie looked and his jaw dropped.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was the same. As my gift! The same color! The same brand! It was completely the same!

The boys shot their looks at me.

"Hyung, how about this?" Baro asked, pulling out my gift.

"Omo. Someone already gave you?" Yuri asked Jinyoung.

"N-ne. From a Bana." he answered

"Oh, well. I better get you something else tomorrow" she said in a sad tone.

"A-ani. It's fine. I'll use this." he told her. Then what about mine!?

"How bout that hyung?" Channie pointed to mine

"Y-you can have it if you want to" he said hesitantly.

"Mwo!?" Channie and Sandeul both shouted in unison.

 

He's going to give MY gift for HIM to CHANNIE!? How... how could he!? I mean! The nerve! >:"( Even in if I was a Bana who just simply leave the gift outside, I would be damn mad about it... Don't get mad HyunMi. It's fine, he doesn't like you. And he likes Yuri, that's why he's saying it. Pssh~ Guess my hardwork was just for nothing.

 

I let my head down, not wanting to see all the cheesiness. Makes me wanna barf. >.<

*Gongchan's POV*

 

Did he just said that I could have HYUNMI'S PRESENT for HIM!?!?! >:(

 

I sat beside HyunMi, all shocked and really mad with what Hyung just said. How could he? It's really disappointing to hear those words from hyung. But because he doesn't know that the very first gift he received was from HyunMi, I can't blame him that much.

"But Hyung, that's not what I meant. It's your first gift, you shouldn't..." I trailed off, Yuri glared at me. Ooh~ scary noona.

"Hmm... you have a point. But--" he didn't finished when he looked at Yuri pouting. Aish~ what's with her? O.O

"Uhmm... I'll think of a way" Jinyoung-hyung promised Yuri.

Yuri-noona began clapping like a five-year-old.

I felt HyunMi, beside me, tense. I looked at her, her head was down. Her knuckles were almost dusty white. She's jealous. Aww~ she's really jealous. Don't worry HyunMi, we'll have revenge. After all the work I've planned, the dance and everything. This is what I get. Kekek. Yes, I'm the mastermind with the "game" ;D

 

I wrapped my arms around HyunMi. She flinched for a sec but ignored it. I glanced at Jinyoungie-hyung, and his face was just...EPIC! HAHA! His eyes were furious, he sat up all tensed. I was holding up my laughter. It was just too hilarious for me

"Channie, you really want to have broken bones when you sleep don't you?" Shinwoo joked. I released my laughter. Hyungie seems to get why I was doing this.

 

Jinyoungie-hyung, if you were only was this smart like Shinwoo-hyungie.

 

"Chan Chan, you like HyunMi?" Sandeul asked with a quick wink. Wooh~ this is going to be interesting. >:)

"Huh?!" HyunMi looked up at Sandeul, shocked with the question.

I chuckled shyly, still acting.

"Play along. We're just fooling Yuri" I mumbled loud enough to let HyunMi hear. Well, not really Yuri. But your future boyfie. :P

She looked at me with an unsure expression, but decides to nod and play along.

 

I'm sorry Jinyoungie-hyung, I know it's your birthday. But this both for you and HyunMi.

 

"So??" Sandeul continued.

"N-ne" I answered, acting all shy. I glanced back at Jinyoungie-hyung with an evil smirk. And he was just so furious! HAHA! His eyes were like flames, ready to burn down my soul. HAHA! I know, I shouldn't be laughing... but I can't help it! HAHA!

"Aww~" Yuri said as she placed her head on Jinyoung's shoulders. He was glaring at me. I glared back and raised an eyebrow. Then I heard HyunMi chuckled with sarcasm. Jinyoungie suddenly flinched and leaned away from Yuri's head, clearing his throat. Yuri got what he was trying to say. She pulled her head off of hyungie's shoulders.

 

Aish~ Why am such an evil maknae? Kekeke. >:)

 

"Jinyoungie-hyung, how about that? Do you accept HyunMi for Channie?" Sandeul raised an eyebrow at him. It made me smirk. Sandeul hyungie's more evil than I thought. Kekeke.

Jinyoung was shocked. He was speechless. I know that he was nervous and panicking inside. Kekeke.

"Isn't it the other way around?" Baro joked, playing around.

"Whatever. So?" Sandeul continued torturing Jinyoungie-hyung

"This is going nowhere" I heard HyunMi mumble.

HyunMi suddenly stood up, her head faced down, letting her hair cover up her face.

"I-I'm going to sleep" she said and bowed. She was about to leave when I grabbed her wrist.

"Yah, no good nights?" I asked like a kid. She finally looked up and smiled. She always likes it when we give our Good Nights. Everyone stood up including Yuri and Jinyoungie hyung. Jinyoungie-hyung sighed.

She first hugged Shinwoo-hyung, then Sandeul and Baro-hyung at the same time. When she faced Jinyoung, her face was cold. I think I saw Jinyoungie hyung flinch. Kekek. But then, Yuri wrapped her arms around Jinyoungie. I looked at HyunMi's eyes, and she saw what Noona did. She almost took a step back, but she just smiled and said good night to Hyung

 

"That was new" Sandeul spoke.

"Wae?" Yuri asked innocently. Is she really innocent or playing? o.o

"She always hugs Jinyoungie first" Baro pointed out

Jinyoungie-hyung blushed, HyunMi shocked at their statements.

"Well, Shinwoo oppa was nearer" she made up an excuse. We all knew that except for Jinyoungie and Yuri

"Oh, well Good Night HyunMi" Yuri said, tightening her hold on Jinyoung's arms. And I think I saw her smirk quickly.

HyunMi flinched, but ignored it again. She just smiled at them and bowed a little.

"Channie-ah~" she sang, acting along I guess.

I blushed and opened my arms. We hugged. I rocked ourselves side by side, watching Jinyoungie's expression. But he wasn't looking. He was dazed I think

"Aww~ too cute to be a couple" Yuri blurted. It made Jinyoung glance at us. He had a sad expression. Okay, that made me guilty.

 

Just as HyunMi pulled away, she kissed my cheek. What the heeeeeelll!?!?!?!?!? O.O

Everyone gave her a shock expression, well except for Yuri.

"A sign of thank you." she whispered into my ears, then she suddenly whimpered.

"HyunMi-ah" Shinwoo worried, hearing her whimper.

"Annyeong" she ran towards the dorm. Okay, I'm really dead. Hyungie! Forgive me! >.<

"What did she told you?" Jinyoung's expression was really sad. It made the room awkward. Everyone knew what were doing, well of course not Yuri

"A sign of thank you" I repeated the words

"Arasseo" he sadly smiled and looked away.

"Omo, it's late. Taeyeon-unnie's goona kill me. Annyeong~!" Yuri said. FINALLY! I didn't hate her... there's just something about her that I dislike.

*Jinyoung's POV*

 

I escorted Yuri outside. My mind was full of thoughts that I can't think of. I know, it's weird. But it feels so occupied that I can't understand what to think first. There was something about the other headphone that seems so special to me. And I can't believe I was just going to lend it to Channie. Aish.

 

Soon as Yuri got on her ride, we bid good bye. I went back to the dorm. Channie was outside, leaning on the wall, looking down

"Why are you still here?" I said in a cold voice. After making me feel bad a while ago, I think I deserve to be a little cold.

"Hyungie, mianhae" he said with sincere tone.

"Wae? Is it for the part when you're making me jealous? Or the one HyunMi kissing you on the cheek?" I asked sarcastically. Yes, I was mad on my birthday. First, it was Yuri. Then it was Channie and the others. Agh~

"Everything." he said, full of regret in his voice. "I had my reasons..."

"And what would those be?" I asked, controlling my temper. Let's just hope it's not selfish. >:/

"HyunMi..." he said, he looked up at me. I don't know how to react. Would I get worried or be more furious.

"What about HyunMi?" I said lifelessly, remembering when she kissed him on the cheek

"HyunMi bought the headphones. The first one" he said

I was shocked to hear this. So it was from her!?

"The reason why she was coming home late is she's been working hard for those headphones. She just bear with 8,000 won for the whole week as her allowance. Then all of her salary for the headphones." his voice lowering down.

"Even if the doctor said that she needs to have a complete rest on her foot. We scolded her, but she was too stubborn. So we asked Taemin to look out for her during her shifts." he continued. "Remember when you guys were talking alone then I entered? She quickly stood up right? Cause I was holding the headphones. She wanted it to be a surprise."

 

HOW CAN YOU BE SO STUPID JINYOUNG!?!?!?!? YOU SAID, RIGHT IN HER FACE, THAT CHANNIE CAN HAVE IT AND USE YURI'S INSTEAD!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAH~!!! What have I done!?!?!?!

 

"The headphones were also special, cause before she wrapped it, she snuck out of the dorm and went to some friend of hers to have your name engraved on the headphones." he said as he took the headphones out.

I saw my name beautifully engraved on it. Tears were filling up inside my eyes. I can't believe it. I'm such a jerk!

"Don't be sad Hyung. It's your birthday" Channie gave me a weak smile.

I shooked my head in disagreement.

"N-no. What I said back... there was very... insensitive. I shouldn't have--" I didn't continue. My voice was cracking. I didn't want Channie to see me cry.

"She's still awake, in her room." he patted my shoulder.

I quickly wiped my wet eyes and rushed towards her with the headphones in my hands.

 

 

I reached my destination. Her room. I stood outside thinking of what to say.

 

Should I say sorry first? Or maybe start off with a hey? Agh~ this is frustrating.

 

I knocked at the door 3 times. No one was answering. I knocked again.

"HyunMi? I-it's Jinyoung" I called.

I heard footsteps coming up. She opened the door.

"Oppa, why are you still awake at this--" she didn't finish when she got a look at the headphones I was carrying

"Could we talk?" I politely asked.

She looked down and nodded. She sat on the bed, I did too.

"Yah! HyunMi-ah! Are you still there!?!" someone from her phone was screaming. Sounded like AnJi.

She picked it up, "Ne, uhmm... I'll talk to you later..." So, she was still awake.

"Don't you dare talk to him! HyunMi! Don't hang-" HyunMi hang up on her.

 

When I heard AnJi(?) say the words, "Don't you dare talk to him!" I know she meant me. :(

 

"HyunMi I'm--" I started but she suddenly spoke

"It's okay Oppa. I know that you already know who gave those headphones. Shinwoo told me that Channie will tell you everything" she said, smiling. She can still smile with what happened? :(

I look deeply into her eyes, "No. I want to continue it. I'm sorry HyunMi. I'm really sorry. I didn't knew what I was saying. I shouldn't have told Yuri that. I shouldn't have blurted it out. The truth is before knowing that this headphones came from you, I really didn't want to give this to Channie. I felt it was too important and special to me. And I was correct. I panicked when Yuri gave her gift because I don't know how to reject it without hurting her feelings. But it ended up much worse..." I trailed off. She was shocked with the words I've said. Did it sound like I was actually confessing? Will I continue on?

 

"I-it didn't got worse Oppa" she tried to comfort the both of us.

"Yes it did. I ended up hurting the person I..." I trailed off, I removed my eyes from hers and on to the headphones. Tracing with my fingers the engraved name. Jinyoung! You've started now finish!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"I ended up hurting the person I..... I mean, the person that is also important to me." I faked a smiled. Fuck you Jinyoung! You're such a pabo. >.<

And Jinyoung confessed!!!! NOT. Does Yuri really like Jinyoung? Is Channie going to have another plan for the two? Some things are going to happen in school in the next chapter. ;D Something very... bad? or sweet? >:)
