It was late in the evening when I got a call from my best friend Kevin. He said that we should hang out tonight and watch a movie together. I had nothing better to do so I got ready and headed over to his house. Me and Kevin have been friends since grade school. We've always had each other's back through thick and thin. I decided to stop off and grab ice cream the kind me and him always have loved or eat. Mmmmm cookies and cream. When I got to his house he was already waiting at the bottom of the stairs looking very anxious. I jumped out of my car and ran over to him. He immediately grabbed my arm and pulled me up the stairs without giving me a second to speak. We walked inside and he sat me down on the couch and told me that he got the newest movie that everyone was dying to see. I was excited! Ice cream, a movie, and my best friend. What more could a girl ask for? He dimmed the lights and started the movie but not before I grabbed us two spoons. It was about 30min into the movie when things started to go a different direction. We were enjoying the movie and joking around with each other. I happened to get some ice cream on my nose and didn't even notice it hehe. Kevin looked at me and couldn't stop laughing. I was baffled and didn't understand what was so funny to him. He stopped laughing and said I had some ice cream on my nose but before I could wipe it off he was already there, so close to my face. This feeling I was getting...I'd never felt it before. My heart was beginning to race faster with every second that passed. He wiped off the ice cream but continued to look into my eyes with such a warm expression. I was frozen I couldn't move. What do I do?! He suddenly got closer and my heart burst when I felt his soft lips pressed against mine. His warm hand slowly caressing my face. I snapped out of the frozen feeling and I knew at that moment that...I loved him. My best friend. Someone I'd never thought to fall for. Here we were in love...one that felt so right.
