Prologue

There were many legends and folklores about how a kingdom was built and how it was ended. Some were the truth and some were made up by people for various purpose. This was one of it, yet, only the people involved directly could tell the real story.

Once, there was a kind and a bit naïve prince who always tried his best to protect people he cared for; including his family, friends, and people. He learnt to make hard decision as he grew up and destined to be the next emperor.

One soldier was trained from birth to protect the royal blood and he knew no other purpose in this life except that. At least until he learnt about friendship and love his prince taught him.

In another part of the kingdom, there was an orphan who had no purpose in this life until he was adopted by court official. He learnt the art of deception and discovered his power that could determine the future of the kingdom.

There was also another prince who loved to be spoiled but wasn’t ignorant to the world as he learnt to protect things that was dear to him in secret. So one day, if it was needed, he could protect his loved ones.

And the last one was condemned from birth as like he wasn’t supposed to be born. He knew neither freedom nor the outside world as he was imprisoned from the moment he opened his eyes. Death was the only thing he knew for sure waiting for him.

So how would this five soul’s destiny entwine? Would there be greatness and salvation? Or would there be downfall and destruction?
