Shine

Description

There are times when the shining boys are not shining so brightly.

Foreword

This work has already been posted on my livejournal a long time ago, but since I had been writing in another fandom before, I chose to seperate my SHINee fics from other works.

A little bit of leader-love, since I love that:) Enjoy!

Was so happy to find a Shinee family fic. Nowadays everything is about the 'couples' within Shinee and whilst i don't mind them is nice to see a fic closer to the truth. Great work! Wish it was longer!

Chapter 1: Can i just love you for this? This is like, you wrote this so simple. But with the right porpotion of fluff and GOSH how i miss a Shinee ot5 story like this. All i can see on AFF now is only.....a vampire Shinee or something that goes with "Shinee Is My Oppa?! Ottokae???"

Chapter 1: (Somehow, I ran across this on your livejournal - I was probably googling SHINee fics -, but I wasn't sure if I could comment there since I don't have an account. Yay for you posting this here! :D)

I adore this ot5 fic; there really aren't enough out there, especially for this wonderful group. I love how you actually explore the downsides of the idol life on SHINee; we all know that there must be some, but you delve into it just enough without sounding over the top about it.

Taemin's is probably the one that also breaks my heart the most; I can see him, this young man, reverting right back into an uncertain, fumbling teen who's trying to figure out who he is but wants to do it on his own even though he has everyone who will support him along the way. I can feel Jinki's pain most prominently here because it is so painfully true in some ways that Taemin lost the most in becoming an idol.

And the fact that this is all from Jinki's POV (essentially, anyway) is another thing that I particularly appreciated about this fic. You really show how he struggles to balance his compassion and empathy with the fact that he also falls at times and needs to be picked up, even when he feels like he isn't doing enough to help the others out.

The ending leaves me giggling with happiness, because I can also totally see this happening. It's light enough to brighten the mood, but it's also enough to wrap everything up beautifully. Thank you! (And once again, yay ot5!!! :D)
