Wu Yifan is a prisoner who has been pleaded guilty for murder and is currently waiting for his time in the death row. But when a young novelist called Seorin meets him, he turns out to be completely different from the way movies and books portray murderers. The last thing she expected to find was a polite and kind young man behind the cold bars of the prison.

With every meeting the bond between the two of them grow stronger. Seorin has to remind herself not to get too attached to the inmate as his death penalty is inevitable. But sometimes there are things that one cannot prevent. Falling in love is one of them.
