The Words I LOVE YOU

Description

The regret of our life is that we have not said 'I love you' often enough.
Jewelry Artist Kim Taeyeon is an very absent girlfriend and because of her job and appointments she hasn't taken a vacation in over 2 years.
She has also been out of her country, South Korea for the past 3 months to work in the US.
Because of her busy job, she is usually unable to contact at all.

Which makes it very hard to her girlfriend, Jessica Jung, a young model to know how she is, and more imtantly how she feels.
It makes it hard for her to feel reassured...without hearing the words, I Love You. The importance of those words...and what the lack of them can do to you.

Foreword

How long since you heard the words I Love You?
Can you think about it? Do you remember how long it has been?
How long since someone told you that you were the most important thing to them?
That you are what puts a smile on their face each day they wake up?
How long has it been?
Jessica Jung knows very well how long it has been, it has been 3 months since she heard those words.
To be honest she never thought she would stop hearing them, it was shocking when she did.
Kim Taeyeon her girlfriend is a renowned jewelry designer and so her busy days never let much space for phone calls and other trivial matters of contact.
Jessica has strict orders from her to only call if it's absoulutely necessary and apparently to call to hear an I Love You is not necessary for Taeyeon.
Today is just another day where Jessica will go to work and check her cellphone every hour just to see if she calls her, which she probably won't.
Jessica is a model and she was one of the first to wear Taeyeon's jewelry back in the beginning of both of their carreers, they became friends and it was sooner than later that among all the girls night's, Movie marathons and sleep overs they fell in love.
Jessica smiles everytime she reminisces those days, everything was so much easier, nobody knew them, it was just them and their small jobs, their small apartments and all the time in the world to talk, to tell each other what they felt, to get to know each other.
To do all the things they don't do anymore, all those dinners, all those movies, all those night's out...a thing of the past.
She felt strangely sad. She got inside their apartment, she sat on the couch and unknowingly tears started streaming down her face.
This happened from time to time, she questioned if this relationship was really okay? If it was really what she wanted.
If Taeyeon was really that busy...she questioned that, she knows that maybe she shouldn't because...even if she didn't tell her she knew she loved her.
But...not hearing it for such a long time...it made her...uneasy.
Wouldn't it make anyone?
At least someone who loved as deeply as she loved her?
Sometimes she wondered if she knew how much she was loved by her.
She knows she tries to tell her everyday but...
Does she know?
She grabbed the phone and dialed, she pressed call and put the phone to her ear only to hear the busy signal again.
Why did she never pick up the phone...
Whenever she called it would always be busy.
Why? Jessica threw the phone at the other end of the couch and leaned back...she fell asleep unknowingly.

Meanwhile, in a secret fashion Taeyeon was going home, she was going to surprise Jessica, flowers, movie tickets and a dinner reservation ready, she planned to tell her what she wanted to hear so badly.
She knows she's not the most attentive girlfriend and she beats herself for it, it's her job's fault, and she knows that that may cause some insecurities with Jessica but she tries her best to make it all work.
She plans to smooth things out with Jessica, she plans to tell her how much really means to her, to tell her the words...I Love You.
Taeyeon got out of the elevator, flowers on one hand, pulling her suitcase with the other, she stopped in front of the door, she put the key inside the keyhole and turned.
Jessica heard a faint noise, she fell asleep the noise felt far away and distant, she dismissed it.
She continued to dream of Taeyeon, who for that matter was already right in front of her, Taeyeon crouched beside her face. She kissed her forehead, Jessica slowly opened her eyes, there she was...the person she wanted to see so much.
She got up at lightning speed and locked her arms around her.

"Auuch" Taeyeon let out as Jessica hugged her.

"Wait, wait, here" Taeyeon said as she handed the flowers to Jessica.

"I'm sorry" Taeyeon said.

"I booked a movie and dinner" Taeyeon said as she smiled.

Jessica's face lightened up, she was thrilled, she throwed the flowers on top of the couch and pounced on Taeyeon who fell flat on her back.

"Ahh" She let out in pain.

Jessica sat on her stomach.

"All this and you still haven't given me what I want"

"I love you, to the moon and back Jessica Jung" Taeyeon said with a smile on her face.

Jessica started crying...

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cry but I've waited so much to hear you say that and I thought maybe you were having an affair or maybe you didn't love me anymore..." Jessica said as tears were streaming down her face.

Taeyeon smiled slightly and pulled her, she kissed her lips.

"I would never cheat on you, I'm sorry I'm always so absent, and I also thought about it, that's why I took a vacation, I talked to everyone at the company and they said it's okay with our current sales"

Jessica smiled brightly...She kissed Taeyeon again and again and again...

"I love you" Jessica said as she smiled.

"I love you too baby" Taeyeon said.

And that night they went out, they had the dinner, the movie and the night out.
They were in love and they made sure that each of them knew it.
They made sure they told each other.
Because those words are important, the reassurance they give you.
To know you're someone's everything, to know you're their most important thing.
The words I Love You
