Howon is a single father who has a child named Hajin who is already 5 years old. His wife, Jung Eunji, passed away in an accident when Hajin was 3 years old and it has been 2 years since his wife passed away and he couldn't get over it that his wife is actually not there anymore for him and for Hajin. Added to that, he's still couldn't get over it that he actually wasn't there for Eunji when she let out her last breath. 

In the times where he has been blaming himself and feeling guilty for what has happened, his mom, Mrs. Lee, told him that he should find someone for himself, or at least for Hajin. He didn't want to meet someone new and he didn't want to have someone new by his side but seeing that Hajin needs someone who will be by his side when he's growing up, which he obviously can't do that due to his work, he decided to accept his mom's offer.
