Flesh and Blood

     Time seemed to slow down for everyone in the room .Eunbyul grunted in pain as the blade stung her. The cut was deep enough to nearly penetrate her organs. Kevin and Kangsoo stood in shock. Kangsoo suddenly dropped the knife as if it were hot and looked at his work in horror. Then he looked at Kevin in rage.
" LOOK WHAT YOU DI-"

Kevin sent a round house kick to Kangsoo's chest. Mustering up as much strength he could in that kick and sent Kangsoo flying away with the wind knocked out of him. He laid there a few feet away, limp and unmoving.

Eunbyul gasped a bit as blood gushed out throughout the wound. She placed a gloved hand to stop the bleeding, only to have blood spurt from her hand.

Kevin immediately took off his jacket and put an arm around Eunbyul. He pressed the jacket to her side and she gasped with pain as the movement hurt her.
" I'm fine. It's not deep."

" No it's not fine. The hell it isn't."

He sounded pissed. It was odd. No longer hearing the bubbly personality.

" Kevin shi~ I'm fine. We have to get out of..."

Eunbyul started paling dangerously as the world began to tip and turn.

Crap... Lost too much.

She leaned towards Kevin and began to slide down as her legs stopped supporting her. Kevin got a firmer grip on her as she went down. He kneeled with her in his arms praying that she would stay.
" Eunbyul! Please stay strong."

Eunbyul breathed in and out somewhat slowly in heavy gasps.
" I'll... Be fine... We need to go."

   Yong goo was advancing on the two with a bat in hand. Kevin looked up to see the bull dog faced man raise a wooden bat and shut his eyes while covering Eunbyul. A sudden shot was heard and the breaking of windows. A solid thick dart struck Yong goo on the neck and began electrocuting him with high volts. He convulsed and went down, the bat dropped with a great clank. 

Black Wolf sat on the rooftop with a sniper weapon standing on it's tripod.
" ... How I love sniping. Makes my job so much easier....."

Eunbyul heard a voice in her earpiece
" Eunbyul. Get out of there. My coworkers are coming in 10 minutes."
Eunbyul struggled to get up as she spoke.

" We need to get out of here. Now."
Her urgent voice was frail, and Kevin kept her down.
" Hold still. Your letting blood come out babo."

Kevin looked around and gently picked Eunbyul up in his arms. He could feel the frightening warmth of blood seep through his shirt as he hurried his way out. He stepped over bodies carefully and took the stairs as he kept praying.
Eunbyul fought hard to stay conscious as she guided Kevin through the facility. Dizziness hit her hard and her head almost grew limp. Kevin exited the stairs and met the frantic Eli.

" Eli Hyung!"

" Kevin!"

A man suddenly popped from Eli's behind.
" Look out!"

Eunbyul was faster and mustered the last of her strength. She aimed the tranquilizer and shot the sixth and last bullet. It hit the man silently and he went down as fast as he came. Eunbyul sheathed the gun and finally let her head be limp.

Kevin's heart almost froze as he saw her lips become pale.

Eli ran up to them.

" Kevin are you oka- OH MY GOD. IS THAT BLOOD?"
Kevin's front side had a massive red stain as the blood dripped from the makeshift bandage.

" We don't have much time. She's bleeding too fast."

Eli nodded grimly and led the way.

They ran out to see the van ready and open for them. Kevin went in the back as Eli sat in the front and spoke urgently.
" Go go go go! We need to go to the hospital NOW!"

Eunbyul's eyes widened and she tried weakly to sit up straight.
" No! No... Hospitals. Take me somewhere else. Please. I'll. Be. Fine."

She loathed hospitals. They reminded her of seeing her mother's cold body as she snuck in to the morgue one night.

Kevin forced her down in his arms once more.
" Don't be a babo Eunbyul. You lost too much blood and I'm not going to let you die."

Kevin's voice broke at the last syllable with fear and worry.

   Soohyun sped through the streets as the members prayed for their girl. Hoon held Eunbyul's feeble hand as she fought to stay conscious. Dongho was nearly in tears as he fought to stay strong for his noona. AJ called the hospital in an urgent voice, ordering them to prepare the ER for Eunbyul. Kiseop was trying to help Eunbyul stay awake by coaxing and speaking to her.

" You need to empty my pockets..."
Eunbyul spoke up suddenly. Kiseop was confused.

" Mwoh? Are you okay?"

" Empty my pockets.... The belt... Everything... Off. Now!" Eunbyul never had used so much effort to sound urgent.

Kiseop hesitantly complied and began deweaponizing Eunbyul. The flash bangs, electrical charges, gun, wire, knives, everything. He finally took off the belt with a click and all that was left was her suit.

   They arrived at the hospital in break neck speed. The paramedics already had a stretcher in place foe her. Ukiss opened the car door and Kevin immediately came out. They gasped as they saw him holding Eunbyul, drenched in blood. Kevin gently placed Eunbyul on the stretcher and the wheeled her hurriedly away. Eunbyul's hand brushes his as she had a look of terror on her face.
They all followed the nurses until they were stopped by one of the medics before entering the ER.
" I'm sorry. You have to stay here."

Dongho shouted.
" BUT MY NOONA's IN THERE!"
Kiseop grabbed Dongho and let him lean on his shoulder. Dongho buried his head in his shoulder and shook silently as Kiseop patted his back. They were all scared. They all wanted to cry.

They waited impatiently, refusing seats or any drinks. Kevin was still covered in her blood as it began crusting. The sickening smell hit his nose but he was apathetic to it. A nurse saw Kevin an jumped in fright.
" Sir! Are you bleeding!?"

Kevin shot out of his stupor and looked at himself. He was a mess.
" No... It's not mine.."

The nurse nodded and rushed away, bringing back a spare scrub shirt for him to wear. Kevin changed then and there, not caring about anything. He refused to distance himself from Eunbyul's ER.

An hour later a nurse came out of the room, a bit frazzled.

" We need blood. Our blood banks are out of her type. She's lost too much already."

Soohyun spoke for the others.
" What blood type is she?"
" B"

Dongho stepped forward
" I'm a B. Take as much as you need from me. Please."

The nurse nodded and ushered Dongho to the room.
" We need to do a direct transfusion. Don't have time to put it in a bag."

Dongho nodded. What ever it takes to save his Noona.
He entered the other room with a strange machine and two arm chairs parallel to each other. Eunbyul was laying one, unconscious and paler than ever. They pu her in a hospital gown but Dongho could see the red spot where her cut was.
He sat down immediately and rolled his sleeves up.

They quickly rubbed the spot with alcohol and inserted the needle into his vein. The machine whirred quietly as Dongho clenched and unclenched his fist. Bright red blood filled the cord as it wounded to Eunbyul's vein. Dongho focused on Eunbyul and sighed in relief as he began to see a tint of color return to her lips. A few moments later the nurse stopped the machine.
" That should be good for now. We will need some more later, but your only aloud to give so-"

Dongho cut her off.
" I'll donate a kidney if I have to. Take as much as you possibly can."

The members saw Dongho come out looking pale but accomplished. He donated an extra pint for Eunbyul and he sat himself on the uncomfortable seats. Soohyun sat next to him and made Dongho lean on his shoulder as Kiseop went to the vermont machine to grab a snack for him.

    They waited for another hour until a doctor came out. They all stood up, even Dongho who swayed a bit.
" She'll be fine. The cut was only a flesh wound, but it was close to cutting a vital area. You can visit her now."

They all rushed in to her room to see Eunbyul sleeping on the hospital bed. Blood still crusted on her arm but she was alive. That's all that mattered.

Dongho feebly walked and sat himself in a chair next to her head and put his head down. He stared at Eunbyul's pale complexion for the longest time, then closed his eyes and sighed in relief. The other members sat themselves around her and waited. An IV dripped next to her as she dozed off in the dark of her subconscious.

Eunbyul floated around in the void, the pain was gone and she wore nothing. She looked around herself, seeing no one. Nothing.
Am I dead?

As if answering her, a small light shined in her sight. She could feel the warmth and love from the light and heard the faintest echo of a voice.
 

No.... Not... Your. Time...yet.
The voice was oddly inhuman, yet feminine.
 

Where am I?
 

.... Choices.
 

What?
 

...... Fate...

What? Choose what?
 

What is right... For you...
 

What are- who are you?
 

Tears will be shed... Betrayal will stab... Battles will be fought... Adapt.... Survive.... Live.... Choose....
The voice grew fainter and fainter as the light dimmed.

Eunbyul reached a hand out for the warmth.
 WAIT!
 

She heard one last thing. Faint yet clear.
...love~

Eunbyul felt the world around her. She was laying down on a bed, uncomfortable and stiff. She heard the steady breathing of somebody next to her as she felt a firm warmth in her hand.
She opened her groggy eyes, her pupils shrunk under the light as she looked around the blurry room, refocusing. There was a bag of blood, hanging from the IV line as it went to her hand. The ceilings were white and clean, sanitizing smells hit her.
This was a hospital. She hated hospitals.
She shifted up carefully, her side strangely numb to anything, and stopped when she felt a hand tighten. She looked to her right and saw Kevin gripped firmly on her pale hand. His long fingers enwrapped her smaller ones as he had a look of tired worry etched on his face. She looked around to see Kiseop with his head leaning near the wall, listening to music with his eyes closed, AJ watching some sort of show on the television, Hoon sleeping on the foot of her bed, Eli had his arms folded and his head down, sleeping. Soohyun was no where in sight. She turned to her left to see Dongho next to her pillow, sleeping like a baby. He was paler and weaker looking than she remembered.
" Why is Dongho so pale?"

Everyone jumped awake besides Dongho. Kiseop pulled out his earphones and AJ spun to her. Hoon uprighted himself as Kevin opened his eyes warily and brightened at her conciouc figure.

" Eunbyul!" they all cried. Eunbyul shushed them and gestured to Dongho.

AJ went up to her.
" How are you feeling?"

" Like somebody squeezed me. I feel lighter."

Kevin snorted and became serious.
" Well you did loose nearly half your body's worth of blood. What were you thinking?"

Eunbyul snorted back.
" He was going to stab you."

" You should have let him. Using yourself as a shield. Babo."

Eunbyul ignored him and turned to Kiseop.

" What's wrong with Dongho?"

He sighed.
" It makes sense he's tired. He donated more than the average person. Your lucky one of us was a B type. Don't worry about him. Worry about yourself. You gave us all a scare."

Eunbyul looked at the bag and smiled softly.

Soohyun came in and his eyes widened.

" Oh! Your awake! The doctor said you would be asleep for about a day at least."

She shrugged
" I recover fast. When can I leave?"

" Settle down Eunbyul. You got here about a couple of hours ago. I don't know. A day or so?"

" No.. I need to leave now."
Urgency was in her voice as she clenched Kevin's hand tighter.
They all looked at her funny.
" Please... I don't want to be here. I hate hospitals." she whispered.

".... I'll see what I can do." Soohyun left. Hw didn't want to argue with her at her state.

All the members were silent as Kevin looked at their hands with an indecipherable look. Eunbyul suddenly touched his cheek gently as she saw the dull color. There was a small bruise from where Kangsoo struck him.

" You should get ice."

His eyes softened and he leaned into her cool hands.
" It's fine."

   Dongho woke up 2 hours later as his stomach growled loudly. He brightened and nearly glomped Eunbyul in her awoken state, only to be blocked by AJ. Eunbyul had to stay there for a couple of hours, with much threatening and brandishing a syringe, the doctor excused her no sooner than tomorrow at night. He left with a traumatized look, dragging one of the male nurses out of her room.
The members merely looked at her in horror as she tossed the syringe into the bucket.

The nurse was about to strap her and drug her if she wouldn't settle down. Bad move. She was weak but she still had some speed as she twisted his arm and grabbed his syringe, stabbing it and injecting it into his neck. Convincing the frightened doctor to sign the form.

        It was midnight and the members didn't want to leave. Least of all, Kevin who rooted himself on his spot until Eunbyul threatened to pull out the IV and run out of the hospital. They left slowly and Kevin looked back at her one last time and kissed her hand before leaving. Eunbyul stayed awake, hating every second of being stuck here. The lights were dim and the halls echoed with noises.

All was silent and she spoke.
" So now what?"

Her father stepped out of the shadows.
" The scene was cleaned. Luckily for you, I happen to have some authority."

She stared into her father's onyx gaze.
" I mean what are you going to do?"

"... I'm taking you back with me."

Eunbyul clenched her sheets.
" But-"

" No buts... Hanging around them has softened you. It has already left you vulnerable. I was wrong to let you ou of my sight."
He spoke darkly

She stayed silent and brooding as he went on.
" I told you this world is cruel. I'll give you a week and a half to set up and pack." he vanished without room for argument.

Eunbyul dug her nails into her palms as she stared out the window.

What if I don't want to leave?

Something she never experienced grew inside her.
