Eunbyul parted ways with Ukiss at 6:00 at night. Tired from the long day, the boys dragged their feet on the floor of their dorm and plopped down on the couch and living room floor. Manager Hyung gave them a light grin.
" You guys did a good job today. And I have some good knews! Drum roll.... Lee Eunbyul is now officially my assistant."
the boys bolted upright.
" eh?" they looked at him like he was insane.
" What's with that look? Don't you guys like her around?" he frowned. The boys were quiet except for Dongho.
" that is awesome! I like having this noona around."
Hoon gave them looked worried.
" We don't have any problem with her. But I think she has a problem with us. She never smiles or really converses with us. Most of them usually do. Maybe she doesn't like us?"
Manager shook his head
" I think that's just the way she is. Give her some time. She asked me if this was okay with you guys first, thinking she would be unwanted here."
Dongho just bounced merrily and grabbed his phone. Meanwhile Eunbyul changed into a grey tang top and brown sweats at her apartment. She went to the roof and waited for music. The rooftop neighbors had kids that seemed to crank up their stereos at this time with random music every other day. On cue the music blasted itself loud enough for the surrounding neighbors to hear. They usually closed their doors for the remainder of the 45 minute period of music. A smooth beat began to play and Eunbyul closed her eyes. Her mother had persuaded her father to allow for her to have dance classes when she was young. Her mother demanded that Eunbyul gained a healthier hobby than reassembling guns and beating a punching bag daily and her father always found it hard to say no to her mother's persistence.... Whipped much?
Eunbyul was always curious about dancing and was secretly overjoyed at the thought of dance classes. It turns out she had a natural talent for dancing as she advanced faster than the other kids her age.
Dance seemed to be the for sure way for her to express her self as a person. She focused on the rhythm and began her steps. It was an improv of both jazz, ballet, and hip hop uniquely mixed up. Meticulously, she switched from style to style creating a graceful private performance that only she would see. The heavy rhythm of the Kpop song ended and Eun Byul stopped as she felt the impeccable timing of her cell going off. She took out her phone to see a text sent from the contact Dongho the Best magnae.
-NOONA! congradulations! Now we get to spend more time together! Ow Soohyun hyung just sat on me. SAVE ME NOona!-
she smirked and gave out a small giggle.
- Sorry Dongho. If noona tried to protect you then she would have to hurt Soohyun oppa and that's against her job.-
She rarely sent text messages so she was slow in typing the letters but she did so with a unnatural joy.
She let out a sigh in the moist air and stared at the city lights if Seoul.
She was a girl again. 15 years old and she and her father moved to Nebraska this time. The high school kids Isolated her as usual. Her father did an ambush on her, forcing her to fend herself once more. The spar ended with Her being slammed none too gently into the fallen leaves of autumn. Frustrated, she questioned her father,
" Why am I doing this? For what purpose?"
He stared at her for a moment. An expression all too familiar and identical to her.
" I am trying to prepare you."
" For what? Appa, what will learning how to kill people do any good?"
Her father raised an eyebrow.
" Killing? No. It is meant to strengthen your mind and-"
He threw a rock at her, which she immediately caught.
" Defend you. The world is cruel. The weak will perish and the strong will always triumph. Those with opportunity will grab it regardless of it's affects on others. That's how humanity works. What I am doing is making sure you are ready for their cruelty." with that her father walked back into their silent house. Eunbyul patted the dirt and leaves off herself and followed her father's silent footsteps.
Eunbyul woke up to the sound of a message on her laptop. Opening it she read :
Incoming to Night leopard
India Golf Hotel Tango Alpha Limma Romeo Bravo Echo_ Foxtrot Echo Sierra Alpha
- Black Wolf location: Stony eyes
(alright. Be safe. I'm near Mt rushmore...)
The typical fatherly message her dad seems to send. He was in mount rushmore for his usual reasons. Still no overseas missions for him.
The skies were grey with the promise of rain and the familiar scent of a storm was brewing. It was a dark Sunday and Ukiss had a free day to spend so manager nim said she didn't need to be there. She did her routine of washing herself and tidying up her lonely home. The laundry was done, the measles amount of dishes were clean, and the floors were spotless. She didn't need to work as much, didn't need school, didn't have friends, and had hobbies that she could not really do in Seoul besides swimming. It was simple but absolutely boring for Eunbyul. She wore a long sleeve loose white unisex shirt with a pair of plain blue jeans and took an old small messenger bag with her out the door. She went for a walk around her part of Seoul, and her mind suddenly went to the Ukiss members. (I wonder what they're doing?.) she thought.
Mean while at the dorm...
"I'm bored..." Dongho stated as he played with a Teddy bear the fans had given him.
They didn't go outside because the weatherman stated that a heavy downpour with high winds would come at any moment, and the clouds looked like they promised a torrent of rain with their colossal clouds of dull grey. Dongho's eyes lit up as he remembered he had Eunbyul noon's number. He began testing gleefully and Kevin gave him a quizzical look as he held a toy dog.
" Dongho yah? Whatcha doing?"
" I wanna know what noona is doing."
Kevin rolled his eyes.
" It's obvious if she watched the news about today's storm. She's probably at her house or something. Stop pestering her magnae."
Kevin went back to playing with his toy dog as rain began to bullet their windows. Little did he know she never really watched weather forecasts.
Rain began fallen gently on her head, then in a rush it hammered the city mercilessly. People began opening their umbrella's and running past her. She merely frowned, cursing herself for her ignorance of the forecast. She didn't bring an umbrella so she just put up with the rain.
Kikwang and Hyunseung were out to buy things from the minimart near their dorm when the rain came down.
" Crap. Hyunseung ah? Did you bring an umbrella?"
Hyunseung just looked sheepish.
"um... Mian... Hehe thought we would beat the rain before it came."
Kikwang let out a sigh when another person rushed into the minimart particularly drenched. She wore a white long sleeve shirt which is the worst possible thing to wear on a raining day like this one. But she seemed oblivious to the obvious rule of style as she shook her long wet hair as it made a halo around her in long wet locks. She was probably around his height maybe even shorter and her figure was appealing. She wasn't chubby nor too skinny but had great curves in allthe right places. She seemed very robust and all natural, maybe the way her loose wet shirt clung to her made her seem more attractive. Hyunseung and Kikwang both shook their head slightly, attempting to get rid of their vulgar thoughts unaware that they were thinking the same thing. She suddenly looked like she was pinching the bridge of her nose painfully and they debated whether to help her.
After a minute passed they looked at one another, debating silently at who gets the privilege. Hyunseung acted quick and walked towards Eunbyul.
" Excuse me? Are you alright mi-" he stopped as she looked at him with a hand on her left eye.
His breathe caught in his throat as he saw her face. Eunbyul was grimacing as she took out her color contact and Hyunseung did a double take when she took out the dark lens to reveal a shockingly deep blue eye that appeared to glow.
Eunbyul looked at the man in front of her. He had a cap on but she could see a hint of red dye and his features were slightly sharp and handsome, With a firm jaw line and large almond eyes. Another celebrity? What's with these people and popping up to my inconvenience? She thought tiredly. She was soaked to the bone and her contact got water on it, rendering useless.
He was Enraptured in her cryptic and striking gaze. Different colored eyes stared into his brown ones as her unique attractive features displayed no definable emotion. She didn't have the stereotypical doe eyes that most guys crave, but more sharp mysterious feline ones that made her one not to trifle with.
" Yes. I'm fine.." she Noticed his discomfort in seeing her abnormal freaky eyes.
Not wanting to be bothersome she quickly turned and walked out of the store before he could say anything.
Kikwang walked to Hyunseung and spoke,
" Yah Hyunseung ah! You're that bad at pick up lines that you scared her off. Dang it... Hyunseung? Yah? Hello?"
Kikwang waved a hand in front of the Beast dancer's petrified face. Hyunseung suddenly grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him vigorously with an intensity in his eyes.
" Did you just see that? Dude.... Dude... Dude... Her eyes.... Did you see her face?"
Kikwang stared at him funny.
" Was she that bad?" Hyunseung shook his head furiously.
Coincidently their old song Mystery began to play in the mart. She is a mystery indeed, Hyunseung thought in a daze.
