“Jerome.” Kristy looked at me, taken aback. She looked exactly the same, blonde hair, tanned skin, yet somehow that expression on face made me feel disgusted inside.

“Hey Kristy. Didn’t expect you to be in NYC. What are you doing here?”

“Oh, I’m visiting one of my cousins. It’s her Bar Mitzvah tomorrow.”

“Ahh. Congratulations to your cousin.”

“Thanks. What are you doing here?’

“Visiting my cousin. He owns the Kimchi Bowl.”

“Oh yeah, that place! I heard it’s really good.”

“Yup.” We stood there awkwardly.

Finally Kristy spoke up. “Come on, walk with me.”

We walked out of the store and onto the streets.

She turned to me. “So, how’s your life been.”

“Okay. You?”

“Horrible. Why did you leave me? My life was perfect before you let me down. Now everything is ruined. I’m not allowed in the girlfriend club anymore. Barely anyone respects me. I’m not even allowed to have fun anymore because you ditched me,” she hissed.

“Is that all you cared about when we started dating?” I stopped and turned to her. “Look, I thought when you said you loved me, you liked hanging out with me, not caring about some social status that I get you.”

Kristy faltered. “No, I liked spending time with you…”

“Oh yeah? Then why didn’t you mention that first?”

She fell silent.

I shook my head. “I think you got the wrong guy in the first place. If you just wanted someone to use to hang out with certain people and have one-night stands with actually hot guys that are as afraid of commitment as you, well you should have never gone to me. I want exactly the opposite of that. It’s sad that it took us this long to figure out that, but now that it’s figured out, fate is fate. Good bye Kristy.” I left her, storming off in an unknown direction.

When I finally calmed down and was wondering how would I get back to my hotel, my phone beeped. I looked at it.

Meet me at 24thstreet?

I took a deep breath and tapped a shoulder of a stranger. “Excuse me? Can you tell me how to get to 24thstreet?”

HAHAHAHA oh HAHAHAHA okay I'll stop laughing

Anyway, I have FINALLY visited my hometown of my childhood after 4 years. That's why I didn't post anything yesterday since I was busy at Asian party and seeing old friends. YAYS!

Also after these updates, I'm probably not going to be updating until probably Winter Break. Just a heads up. Maybe I can sneak a few here and there. We'll see. (Especially since this thing called MIDTERMS is creeping up. I'm getting pretty scared...)

As for the ending, you could have blend in the two last chapters. Trust me, they make more sense together than apart^^
