Description
Imagine yourself and your first memories since birth was seeing death brought upon those around you. Hearing the cries of women, men and other children being killed and the last one alive was you. You're now being hunted down for a power that one thirsts for and you have no choice but to run for your whole life until you are ready to fight back. But you can't control your powers for if you didn't use those powers correctly, you can kill the people most closest to you.
This was the life Lee Chae-rin had to live through since birth.
Foreword
Twenty years ago, Chae-rin was born with no family, no relatives.
Her biological family and relatives were all murdered due to a person's thirst for ultimate power. Her adoptive family was killed while they were raising her and protecting her until her age of four. Everything was gone in a glimpse. In an effort to protect and to not put anymore people in danger, she brought herself up since then and lived in a forest where she trained herself to fight, hunt and control her gifts. Magic.
At the age of nine, she was forced out of her home due to a mysterious wormhole that appeared out of nowhere and her into it, sending her into a whole different time and dimension. But this did not occur just once. Ever since then, she has been used to crossing in between time and space. This was to her benefit because it was a much better way to spend her life running away while she trained than to stay in one world and getting hunted down like how her family had been. Encountering many different people along the way, such as other powerful magicians and martial artists, she was continuously taken under their wing in order to master her powers to protect the world and herself. But due to how powerful her magic is which contained within her, she tries to avoid resorting to her magic no matter how much she has been trained to use it. If she didn't do so, she, herself, will bring calamity.
However, by the age of twenty, she was killed by that exact person who murdered her families. But before the hunter had the chance to steal her powers, she encountered a mysterious woman in the afterlife who granted her the life of immortality for a price. From there, she was sent into a new dimension for safety and she was once again alive.
But the hunt wasn't over. It's never over. She is constantly searched for and if she were to stay in one place for too long, she will bring calamity upon those around her even if she doesn't die herself. She needs to survive. For the sake of her dead family that entrusted her as their only hope. For the sake of this universe that she was destined to protect.
A/N: Hello lovelies! Welcome to my story, "Crescent"! I hope you all will love this story as much as you have liked my other stories such as "The Candor Academy", "Ending Page" and "Sweet Dreams"! For those who haven't read those stories, feel free to check them out!
Just to let you know, there will be many similar occurences that you may see in or from CL which you may have read from "The Black Scythe" and in "Her Other Half". Those characters from my other stories are actually adaptations of this original character that I have given CL in this story. I have held onto this character for a really long time but I wasn't able to fully use this character due to her extremely complicated background. But after I have finished reading the xxxHolic and Tsubasa series, I was finally able to use those series as a springboard to help me incorporate her into a story that I have been dying to write. I have actually attempted to write about her story through "The Black Scythe" but have failed to.
Fair warning, this story will soon start to get a little complicated because there will be crossovers between different worlds including worlds of my own. I hope you'll understand the plotline. If you do not understand or if there are things occurring in the story that are unclear, please comment in the comment box below and I'll be sure to help clarify through the next chapter as well as reply to your questions that you have left me (but there will be no spoilers).

Characters and locations mentioned in the story are mostly references to the original manga. Other characters and locations will be references to other well known stories. Most of the characters used in this story are not mine. All the worlds that they are soon going to travel to besides Seoul are not mine.
