Characters:

Jessica Jung: She is the often called a spoiled brat because she always gets what she wants from his rich father. Went to America to study for college.

Choi Sooyoung: Came from a poor family. Her father works for Mr. Jung and Mr. Jung treats her as her own

                daughter.

Other characters will be introduced as the story progresses.

Prologue

                Jessica slept through the whole flight. She woke up just in time when the plane was already landing. She groaned upon remembering where she is going. She’s going home to her father’s ranch and be united with her father.

She’s determined to be cold to her dad until he allows her to go back to her mom. She went to America when she was eighteen to study in UCLA. But the real reason that she went to America is to be with her mom.

Jessica’s parents went through divorce when she was still twelve years old. Since then, her dream was to be with her mom again. She loves her mom so much. Her mom used to make dresses for her and tell her stories before she sleeps. Her mom loves when she plays the piano; she’s Jessica’s number one fan. She misses all those things. Her father tried hard to fill the space that existed ever since her mother left. She loves her father but a mother’s hug is different.

Flashback

                Jessica’s mom is hugging little Jessica tightly, tears escaping her eyes. Jessica buries her head on her mother’s chest while crying hard. Her hands are wrapped around her mom’s body. She didn’t want to let go. She didn’t want her mother to go.

“Mom, don’t leave…” Her voice is shaking. “I’ll go with you.”

“Jessie, your father needs you. Don’t worry. I’ll visit you once in a while.” Jessica’s mom fixes Jessica’s hair and starts wiping her daughter’s tears.

“Mom, America is really far. I’ll miss you every day.” Her tears are continuous and her eyes are sore now. Her mother responded with a hug. “I’ll miss you too baby.”

End of flashback

                She pulled her two suitcases as she scans the airport, looking for her father. A car stopped in front of her. She didn’t recognize the car so she ignored it. But then, the driver got off the car and approached her.

“Hi. Welcome back. Your father is very busy in the ranch and asked me to fetch you.”

Jessica was surprised. “Oh, you’re talking to me.”

The driver smiled. The driver is about to say something but Jessica spoke first. “But…you’re a girl.”

“Why, can’t a girl drive you? C’mon.” The driver smiled again before she easily lifted her luggage towards the car and opened the car’s door for her.
