Part of MeIt started of as a joke, and involved one class roaring with laughter. As soon as I entered the classroom, there was complete silence. Luhan, class president, tough, smart, hardworking, that's me, liked by all teachers and nicknamed teacher's pet. In actual fact, I had never asked for the attention showered on me by teachers and girls of my school. I could not help being who I was.
Moving away was not easy. Coming to a new country was painful. I was forced to move to South Korea when my father was offered a post in Samsung Korea. I had sacrificed my dream, in order to fulfill my father's wishes. I wanted to be a filial son.
Learning Korean, the national language, was a piece of cake. Adapting to the weather was no problem either as I stayed in Beijing, China, before I came here. The climate was almost similar. What was difficult was to find a trusty companion.
I could not understand why it was so hard. I have always been friendly, jovial, a happy-go-lucky guy. Guys in school were confident and reliable. They could become my reliable mates. But the guys, they all befriended me because I was the happening Chinese guy in the school. One of the tactics used to woo girls was to hang out with the now-happening guy.
