Into The Woods | Red Riding Hood & The Wolf

Description

When traveling through the woods, keep these things in mind.

  1. Stick to the trail, to your destination and back.
  2. Stay alert, pay attention to where you're going, and don't attract attention to yourself.
  3. If you hear a noise and you're on foot, walk fast.
  4. If the noise gets closer, run.
  5. Don't stop for anyone or anything.
  6. Carry a weapon with you.
  7. Do not let your guard down.
  8. Travel when the sun is still up. It's safer during the day.
  9. It is "safer" during the day, but not entirely.
  10. If night falls, keep moving and keep 1-7 in mind. It could save your life.

You never know what's lurking in the shadows. Tread with caution.

Foreword

Your mother always warned you about the dangers in the woods. She told you tales of how they were filled with wolves, vampires, witches, and other terrifying things. "Never stray from the path," She said. "Stay right on it straight to grandmother's and straight back." She reminded you every single time you started down that small dirt trail. You however, were always such a hard headed child. Instead of heeding your mother's words, you strayed the path countless times. Whether it be to stop and dip your toes in the creek after coming back from your grandmother's house, to pick flowers in the field on your way there, or to just wander around the underbrush and explore. You were always so curious.

And that's how you first met a wolf. You were only ten years old. He seemed so kind and nice. Offering to walk you to your grandmother's house and stave off any predators that came your way. He offered a hand to you with a gleaming smile on his face and you took it. That's how you almost got both you and your grandmother killed. Luckily enough, someone was there to save you. They had fought off the murderous wolf and effectively killed him. You didn't get a chance to see who it was though. You caught a glimpse of vibrant blue eyes. And then they were gone.

Since that day, you traded in your curiosity for self-preservation. You learned how to defend yourself with a knife and in worst case scenario, with your bare hands. Not once did you stray from the path unless reason called for it. Even when you did, you did so cautiously with a hand on the sheath that kept your knife. You're twenty years old now. You moved out when you were eighteen to live with and take care of your grandmother. She passed away a year later with a smile on her face and her hand in yours. Now you live alone in her cottage spending your days tending to the small garden at the back of the house or reading a book or two on the swing attached to the giant oak tree in the front yard. On other days, you go into town to visit your parents and sometimes to sell the strawberries that you grow in the garden when they're in season.

That's how you ended up getting stuck out in a bad storm. You had stubbornly refused to wait the storm out at your parents' house. And that's what got you here. Shivering cold and at the wrath of five wolves. Your knife having gotten lost in the storm along with your basket and cloak. You suddenly remembered what it was like the first time you met a wolf and you were ten. Backed against a wall, scared, and wishing you had listened to your mother.

Author's Note:

So if the tags did not give it away, this story is a BOYFRIEND centered one. I recently saw Into The Woods and this popped up into my head. I am borrowing the Little Red Riding Hood plot and using it as a base that I'm going to twist and shape into whatever the hell this story will be. It's mainly going to be told through third person. I hadn't thought to deeply into it and I'm probably going to keep this as a four-shot at most. Another Boyfriend story! Woohoo!

I need first chapter ASAP! Please!!!! My curiosity can't stop me from thinking how will this story starts. And why only five wolves while Boyfriend has six members? And who is the person who saved her? Oh gosh, I really need first chapter already.
