The Best Man

Description

A story in which Sehun is in love with his best friend and his best friend is engaged to someone who isn't him. Sehun goes through the motions of love and loss, and struggles to push onwards through darkness in order to begin anew. 

 

 

Foreword

"Hyung, I love you." 

"I'm sorry I can't return your feelings."

"Sehun, you're my best friend in the entire world. I want you to be my best man." 

A tear trailed down Sehun's cheek and it felt like it burned the entire way before falling off his chin along with every shard of hope he had left.

Chapter 1: Well that was ing touching. Oml what an awesome writer you are! The way you portrayed Sehun's feelings- I feel him, man! I feel him! Yeah, sure, Baek is really a douche but it's inevitable and one way or another Sehun's gonna have to it up and be the best man and just only the best man and best friend, no more. Sehun is such a wonderful person for accepting the fact that he could not be with his best friend, and moving on was a great decision for him (although really we all have to thank Jongin for this one cuz his goddamn looks had made Sehun fall in love with him at first sight- I know he is!) Baekhyun was the one lucky to have Sehun as an understanding and mature best friend. I mean, if I had a best friend like Sehun and the same thing happened to us I'd cry gallons of appreciation tears. This story is now one of my fave sekai one shots. Thanks for sharing your wonderful writing and imagination, author nim! I know keeping this one shot is the best decision so as to keep the feels, but I'm hoping to see an epilogue of how Sehun finally got his happily ever after with Jongin too! Man that woud make me cry, swear. I'll look forward to your future works! :)))

I also like to think it as baekhyun is not worthy of sehun as sehun is a smol cinnamon role to precious for this world. Like to put aside his heartbreak and deal with baekhyun's wedding, after that ty, imo, rejection was hella strong of him. I think sehun needs to take his focus off of baekhyun now and focus on himself and his possible new relationship with kai as it's time for him to move on from being the 'best man/best friend' and idolizing baehyun in a sense lol.
I would love if there was a sekai wedding epilogue but ahh.
Sehun is truly too sweet and kind for this world in this fic. ^^
