Park Minji is a homicide detective.
Kim Myungsoo is her partner and best friend.

Minji is just like any 24 year old her age, but she has two things that most people do not have.
One is the special purpose her body has that is unbeknownst to her.
And the second is a guardian angel, Nam Woohyun.
Both Heaven and Hell have an agenda, a path they want her to take, even if those paths cause her pain and rip her apart. Minji will be forced to make choices and in the end, will her fate have already been sealed from the start?

36. I was the moon of your life. You were my sun and stars. But, just like the sun and moon, we were never meant to share the same sky.
A warm hand touched my cheek. "My love." a soft voice whispered to me. I stirred and felt the strain of the chains on my limbs. They rattled as I shifted slightly. I lifted my head and managed to open my eyes slightly to see him. Its been so dark for so long. His presence was like a bright light in my shadowed world. Seeing him made renewed tears spring from my eyes and fall down my already dirty tear stained cheeks. "No, don't cry." he pleaded softly and pulled me into his arms and well as he could as I weeped. He was everything I was not. Warm, clean and pure. I knew he would come to see me. But, this would also be the last time.
"Get out. You know you don't belong here. You will get in trouble." I said when I finally got my bearings. "Then I will suffer next to you." he said. "No. You cannot. I won't allow it." and I shook him off. The chains felt even heavier today. He tried to come closer again and I growled, "Leave. I don't ever want to see you come here again."
His face contorted in anguish. "You don't mean that." he said.
"I have accepted the deal." and his eyes widened. "No. You cannot. Your memories. Our love. I will find a way to get you out."
"They wouldn't exist anymore. We all need to serve our purposes. You need to finish your training. And I will do what someone like me can." and he shook his head. "No I will not let you. You cannot do that to me…to us. You wouldn't be you anymore." he cried in anguish. I turned my face away from him. "It has already been done." then I lifted my head as best I could. "Guards! There is an intruder!" I shouted. I curled my wings tighter to my back trying to hold in my pain. After another second the doors swung open and two of my guards came in. He struggled against their hold. "No. No. I love you." he cried. "Godspeed." I lowered my head so he would not see me cry.
"I will find you again. I swear that on my existence!" he shouted as they dragged him out before shutting the door to my dark prison again. I felt a small laugh escape my lips through the tears. "Somehow. I believe him."
