A/N: Because I have become an utter slave to JaeMin/JoongShim/SoulFighters this holiday season and I was sad to see the scarcity of OTP fic, I decided to write my own little drabble. It's only a little over 700 words, and also my first (hopefully not last) foray into the TVXQ/DBSK fandom, so please go easy on me.

As for why I ship JaeMin... well, mostly because I find that Jaejoong acts very naturally around Changmin, always keeping an eye out for him in spite of all the violence (which is definitely part of their strange charm as a couple since both can dish out and take it)  and Changmin clearly adores him above all the other members (hello, bullying and just excessive attention to Jaejoong in particular), and yes I've got a soft spot for devoted maknaes. 

I have to apologize in advance if it's cheesy and/or angsty at parts; this is a band!fic and so canon so far as the split is concerned. I also apologize if the characterization isn't too spot on, or if there are any inaccuracies.
